As for the RWBY thing... to be honest, I am being bit more optimistic. Because I noticed that fighting games what are new or adapt a new system tends to start with 10-12 characters. So even if the other three series has some tweaking, they won't need to be bould from ground-up, meaning more time to develop new characters.

Convince who? (I'm assuming the "them" are the devs on Infinite) Disney? They seem to be in a bit of a feud with Fox over the licenses. Capcom? I'd imaging that if they could add the X-Men, they would, and also that fans would notice if the Capcom part of Capcom Vs Whatever got over-represented (On the other hand Marvel does have characters they could use to fill the gaps like Ms Marvel, later Symbiotes, Kobik, etc).

In the event you're referring to the Ark System Works. They have Loads And Loads Of Characters to work with, and liscensors (Rooster Teeth and Atlus) that are relatively less engaged in petty Executive Meddling when it comes to what characters they can or can't use (though I suspect that Persona 4 and maybe 3's cast would have priority over 1, 2 and 5's but that's more due to reusing assets, and the lead time and timing might exclude characters that were introduced after RWBY's 3rd volume)

I meant ASW. The fact is most of the legwork is done so making 8 characters (RWBY and JNPR) is the same amount of work for an older game. No one’s asking them to make 30+ characters from scratch.

Most crossover fighting game should have an even roster of characters, why can't it apply the same to RWBY if all four characters are shown in each equal axis of the X in the trailer?

By the way, if this game gets a dub, do you think it'll mean the RWBY characters would stark speaking in Japanese?

Well duh, it's supposed to be that case.

Maybe after release, but it doesn't seem to be a priority of theirs if Lindsay Jones is just now finishing her voice recording.

I don't think RWBY should only be RWBY and Nora's team, but that is just me.

Part of the reason so much RWBY content is being expected is that, well, Ruby has a massive presence in all the crossover art so far- She gets exactly equal billing with Ragna, Yu and Hyde in the four-panel splash image, along with a specific associated color like the other three.

It is advertised as Persona 4 Arena x Blazblue x UNIB x RWBY, so having only Rubes or even just Team RWBY feels like it would be missing out on an opportunity.

The game's scheduled for '18, so that's plenty of time to get at least RWBY and JNPR done, seeing as other franchises have existing assets already that need minor adjustments at best.

It's already been brought up, but while I agree it makes all the sense in the world to have JNPR in, I'd rather have other characters if we're really being limited to 8. Like, I'll take Jaune and Pyrrha, then add Cinder and Torchwick/Penny/Sun/Velvet, just to spread the representation out a bit.

You'd be surprised how many crossovers have done that. Advertised some series equally, but one one gets less and another more.

Super Smash Bros and KOF doesn't count.

But in case if it pushes 20...

Doubt Qrow should be within the same CONTINENT as Ragna, wouldn't want the world to be struck by a meteor or something like that, do you?

Where’s the fun in crossovers not having utterly insane climactic battles based on wildly different personalities? So what some stuff gets blown up? Can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

Ruby became less innocent by sheer association. We all saw the “upgrade” she received.

But she still retained her idealism.

Give her a few chapters in story mode. We’ll see how that pans out.
