The Familiar [Series] by M. Z. Danielewski -- Reading schedule / discussion?

The Familiar — Anybody else like to read and discuss this?

I read Vol. 01 once and really liked it, but due to the massive amount of Mind Screw I need to read it again and think reading and discussing it with each other here would really help.

Proposed reading schedule:

1. Week 1: pg. 1-72 (Intros and 1st Xanther chapter)

2. Week 2: pg. 73-159 (Chapter 2-6)

3. Week 3: pg. 160-289 (Chapter 7-12)

4. Week 4: pg. 290-435 (Chapter 13-18)

5. Week 5: pg. 436-578 (Chapter 19-22 + Narcon Interruption)

6. Week 6: pg. 579-702 (Chapter 23-27)

7. Week 7: pg. 703-end (Chapter 28-30 + End Credits etc.)

I was interested in it until I found out it's what, 20 volumes of Danielewski's insanity?

I loved House of Leaves and will forever mourn us sterilizing the work page, I wouldn't have read it if it weren't for all of the examples written in the same style. I couldn't get into Only Revolutions and the idea of committing to I don't how much of this for I don't know how long just scares me off.
