Hmmmm...that definitely looks like straight-line winds blowing through, so I'd say that's a bit of an improvement over the current.
Does seem better, certainly.
(Annoyed grunt)Clock is set.
May I propose either of these images from the Desperate Housewives tornado episode? The first is a shot of the tornado as it touches down nearby, the second is the tornado in the background as two characters watch. (Both pictures a little dark/ muddy, and I'm not sure how well the "tornado" will show up wiki-sized.)
Not bad. I quite like it actually. I like collages and pics from live-action media, so it gets my for now.

Yeah, I can live with that.
Also in support of the option in post #5.

Part of the appeal of the current image relates to the "episode" part of Big Storm Episode. It is kind of a Recognizability Argument, which tend to be weak, but expecting most readers to know that The Simpsons exists and that it isn't usually about boats or storms, isn't expecting much. On the other hand, the images in 5 could easily be from a movie.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That would make a better case for the Family Guy example; which at least makes clear that it's an outright storm; than the Simpsons example that just shows a bit of rain and some white-capped waves through some windows in the background.
Of course, first I'd need to find a higher-quality version of that Family Guy scene.
Should we extend the deadline?
I would agree that the popularity of the show is beneficial here. But neither the Simpsons nor the Family Guy example strike a chord with me.
Re-clocked since we've got some active discussion going on.
The Family Guy image might also be from a movie (or other non-episodic work), or a show about storms, either of which would not be an example.
I don't mean exactly "popularity of the show", more like "recognizability of the show". Someone who doesn't watch The Simpsons can tell that's from an episode of The Simpsons.

Sure, that still makes the character take up half the image, but at least the evidence of a storm is clearer than a few white-capped waves.

A bit clunky, but i think it shows both the "Episode" and the "Big Storm" parts clearly enough:
From Avatar The Last Airbender.
Spiral out, keep going.Not bad.
Cropped to be less clunky...
...and cropped to be less clunky than even that, though I'm not sure if it constitutes a misleading edit...
That's pretty good.

''“You want a planet? I’ll give you a planet! Heck, I’ll give you your own solar system! No, I’ll give you a house... in Boca Raton!18, I guess.
(Annoyed grunt)18 seems to be making waves. I also like it.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.I presume the pun was intentional?
In any case, yeah, I'm all for the option in post 18 as well.
While it's better than nothing, the evidence of a storm is relegated to the small fraction of the image that is the windows, and it's... just some rain and some white-capped waves. That's kind of to be expected if you're at sea long enough, without surface friction to slow the wind. (Cruise ships plan their routes to avoid predicted windy areas, and sometimes even that is not enough.) There's definitely room for improvement.
Alternatively, there's this from Family Guy:
