And Jon also got revenge on Chugga for screwing him out of the Koopa Kard by Jon using the Barter Box on Chugga on the last board.

The Koopa Kard was half Jon's fault for not reading the item descriptions to know about the Plunder Chest allowing the user to choose who they steal from and for taking Chugga's joke suggestion of going through the door seriously. Seriously always know what changed between games and their sequels/prequels.

So a recent Jon stream revealed the "final" TRG videos (in quotes because not even Jon knows what will happen in the future). Spoiling for those that want to be surprised in the event that they do get posted.

• Super Mario Bros. Wonder with Josh Jepson. Jon considered this the best LP the group had ever done.
• Mario Party 9. Apparently, Emile's opinion on the game was surprisingly positive, despite his prior hatred for the car mechanic.
• Billion Road. A side thing, but apparently it went well.
• Wheel of Fortune. The one where the worst video happened. Prior to the video, Jon had a confrontation with the car alarm of Emile's Tesla (which apparently involves blasting the Bach music used in Dracula), and Emile and Tim kept on bringing it up to annoy him. Later, Emile made the idiotic statement of "you know you insult me a lot more in your girl voice than you do in your guy voice," and it wrecked everyone's sanity.

Jon does not know if these will ever get posted, but if they do, it will probably be at least a year from now. He has made it clear that there is no guarantee in anything: the videos may or may not be posted, and TRG may or may not come back. For the time being, Jon's mindset is "wait and see".

Just wondering, is Jon still friends with Chugga in private like Tim is, or is Jon going to wait and see if he can improve himself?

He said he's "distancing himself from Emile professionally". This indicates he hasn't ended private relations with Emile.

Apologies for making it seem like we're still talking about the private relations thing, I wanted to drop in here for one more post before I stop enjoying (or talking about) anything TRG or Chuggaaconroy for mostly good.

Three YouTubers I still watch, Fawful's Minion, Schaffrillas Productions, and King of Skill (and the Party Crashers by that extent) have referenced TRG or Chuggaaconroy in one of their videos at least once (James aka Schaff's reference of the TRG playthrough of Sonic Adventure was not something I knew until today), and as far as I know, they have not talked about if they know of the controversies that began this January.

It doesn't really matter whether they choose to cut off or keep their relations with Chuggaaconroy, it's a matter of whether or not they are aware of the controversies surrounding him and TRG.

I hate being reminded of the TRG and/or Chuggaaconroy Shout-Out moments done in the past in videos from these three YouTubers I still enjoy a lot from those videos and feel bad for the realization those shout-outs aged poorly.

The question needs to be asked is whether they recorded the video before what happened and whether they or their editors caught it.

BrainScratch Commentaries made fun of Chugga's normal outro during their currently ongoing OMORI playthrough, which was released after the events, but was recorded at the beginning of the year in typical Brain Scratch fashion.

The three YouTubers I've mentioned have recorded their videos with the TRG/Chuggaaconroy references before 2024 even began, so luckily that question of yours doesn't affect their 2024 videos (afaik). Doesn't excuse those references aging poorly though.

Schaffrillas replied to Lady Emily's initial tweet, saying it was "soul crushing news". I'm sure he's devastated since in his The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask video, he talks about how he got into a lot of Nintendo series from Chugga's LPs, and how Chugga's Majora's Mask LP is what made him play his favorite game of all time.

Do we really need to draw in any other creators for referencing or drawing from Chugga, considering his reach? Especially Schaffrillas, given his circumstances?

Emile fucked up. He fucked up, bad. But his works were great and didn't display his insane mistakes. So I don't think it's right to bring up other younger creators inspired by his unproblematic works with no idea of his personal life, and posit them as adjacent because they are also sad just like us.

And yes, part of this is just because I've seen people who don't know about Schaffrilla present him as some privileged guy without knowing about the history of the channel or what happened, but still. We all exist outside of what is portrayed online, and that should be respected.

Plus, what's the point of throwing James under the bus when he collabed on his Mario Kart 8 Deluxe video with Masae, one of the victims, a mere month before the news was brought to light? That's a clear sign that he respects her.

If it makes anyone feel any better, Jon seems more optimistic about Emile than before. I’m going to trust Jon’s judgement and wait to see how things end up. However, it's likely that things will get worse for Emile before things get better: Tim revealed on a recent stream that Emile's mom might have cancer.

Tim commented on the B2W2 finale video with another update:

• Another confirmation that Emile is working with therapists to fix his behavior. This will include medication, so I'd expect if he does return to videos, his behavior will be noticeably different.
• Tim is adamant that this is very much not an "I'm sorry I got caught" situation. Emile had been aware of his own problems for years and had been working on trying to fix them, but COVID threw a wrench in it all, though he had already been in therapy prior to the revelations. Tim has stated that he and others are aware that there is apparently a lot more to this than what has been revealed, but they are all leaving it for Emile to explain when he comes back.
• When Emile does make his statement, Tim will be with him.
• Tim is optimistic that things will improve, despite everything that was revealed and happened.

Looks like he will join Mr. Enter in the small group of "people who both apologized and actually bettered themselves" club that currently consists only of the two of them.

Hate to double post, but Tim went on a livestream and talked about Chugga. The stream is very chaotic so I'll try to summarize here. The order of the events is unknown, but this is what happened:

• Chugga isn't going to talk about Antdude and Miss Fushi when he finally makes his statement, so Tim shared Chugga's side of the "Chugga vs. Antdude and Miss Fushi" story.
• Chugga vs. Antdude:
  • Pre-Covid, Chugga and Antdude were planning a collab. Chugga suggested Antdude bring his wife, Miss Fushi. Antdude said she was busy. Chugga didn't respond.
  • After Covid, Chugga tried to contact Antdude again while they were both at a convention. Antdude didn't respond until after leaving the con.
• Chugga vs. Miss Fushi:
  • At the same convintion, contacting Antdude didn't work, so Chugga tried to get to him through his wife.
  • At some point, Chugga was watching a livestream where Miss Fushi wanted to know the science behind fetishes. Chugga naturally sent her a link. Tim was not present at the stream so we don't know if this even happened.
  • Chugga's longtime cat Kirby had died, and when Miss Fushi did a stream where she wanted to raise money for her own sick cat. Chugga donated money to her, and she thought he was being a simp for doing so.
  • Tim and Chugga were discussing places to move, and one of the places they concidered moving to was the same place where Miss Fushi is from.
  • In conclusion, a series of unfortunate coincedinces that made Chugga look bad put him in bad graces with the couple.
• The "running away with a person's shoes" line is a reference to Ed, Edd, N Eddy, a cartoon Chugga loves.
• Tim says he's been giving updates to the rest of the TRG associates who care.
• When asked about Masaeanela, Tim said that she was asked about Chugga frequently and she basically cracked under pressure when she made her accusations.
• Chugga was having suicidal thoughts when the scandal first broke for many reasons, which is why he called the hotline. He didn't try anything. He wasn't told about the document until afterward.

• Tim was asked if he had been doxxed. No, he hasn't. By contrast, Chugga's first accuser, Lady Emily, has been doxing people and sending her fans after people who don't believe her, including Jane Doe, who was sexually assulted as a child. Jane left Twitter afterwards, and Chugga sent her an encouraging message after a friend of hers managed to get them in contact. She has given permission to share the message.

I'm going to correct the end part: Lady Emily herself didn't dox anyone. She brought up that she had been getting death and doxxing threats from people for what happened. Astral Alchemist, a friend of Tim's (who helped interview him in the aforementioned livestream) who was...not a fan of Emily, called out the people sending Emily death threats in a separate Tweet, pointing out that just because she doesn't like Emily for what happened does not mean she deserves that.

Emily for some reason called out Astral for having that view and then shared a conversation that Astral was having with several of her friends, including the aforementioned Jane Doe and another user who was actually sort of on Emily's side, without censoring any of their handles, leading to Emily's fans to harass all of them. The Jane Doe, who was a CSA survivor, left the internet entirely because she was afraid her abusers would find her with the sudden unwanted attention, which is why Emile had to reach out to her personally. The guy who was on Emily's side actually turned against her because of the whole thing.

So yeah, it's a mess.

Ok. I'm not totally sure I know what's going on anymore.

Basically, according to the extreme pro-Chugga team, Masae is the only real credible accuser, and we don't even know what exactly he did to her.
