It's not really an example as well as Link eats it just fine and is just as happy eating it as any other food.
At most it is Mystery Meat

Your first line isn't really relevant, because that's something you can only know by playing the game. But yeah, the crowner suggestion doesn't really depict a bad chef.
It's outright misleading if you know the example, that's worse.
The text in the image says "eating it won't hurt you... probably." This isn't the same as "don't eat this" or "this is toxic" or something. Plus, it is mostly just the text. It might work as a quote for Mystery Meat, but as an image, I think it relies too much on the text.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyAlways been fond of this image.
Check out my fanfiction! Here's the before shot, and the two combined. The former may be a bit too subtle, and the aftermath is more fanservicey than I think we can get away with.
This is a funny take.

This new pic◊ was downvoted for the subpage LethalChef.Video Games in the Image Suggestion thread.
I agree, it's a bad pic, since it doesn't show any bad cooking per se. It's more in line with Alien Food or Foreign Queasine or somesuch.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"
