Question, did we get items when we entered the first room of each of our respective paths? Also, what did said rooms look like, since a few of us are probably having difficulty imagining what these rooms look like.

[up]If you're so hung up about the descriptions of the rooms, just add to the descriptions yourself. You can give it a Steampunk motif for all care. You get items from defeating enemies.

[up][up]Bowser: I'd ask what a Porygon-Z is, but...

Bowser gestures to the human enemy

...I don't think it's a good idea to engage in a conversion when an enemy can easily take advantage of that and take us out while we're still yammering!

(What's the enemy's stats by the way? Since he's the first enemy he should be at level 1 with 12 stat points total)

Bowser turns into his Spike Ball form from Bowser's Inside Story and starts rolling in place to build up momentum

Rolled 18

I wonder what's inside?

Priscilla opens the gate and enters the Yellow Maze entrance.

The main reason I asked if there were any items was because Bowser had acquired a golden amulet (with some sort of plant motif) when he entered through the green door, and I think you had implied that each of us would receive similar items/amulets once we entered through our respective entrances, assuming we didn't roll the skull door. I did not see a separate roll for determining what sort of room was behind the entrance when Bowser entered the chamber, other than for choosing the chamber itself, so I assume that the item wasn't depending on randomly generating a room that may have contained said item. If we do receive something, it might also be worth mentioning what properties they have, assuming that we have access to such information.

Also it is typically the onus of the person running the game/GM to describe what different locations within the game world look like, and I get the feeling that this was also TheSilverShroud's expectation, stated or not. Usually the responsibility of describing the game world and operating the game's mechanics is not distributed among the various players in the game, with the exception of more freeform games that don't rely on said mechanics.

"I would not rush to quickly," Beatrice said to Priscilla. "It is possible we may have overlooked something in this room."

She then began to search around the room they were in (whether that was the starting area or the room just past the yellow door).

The reason why I don't want to bother explaining each room in detail is to save space as more events are added. Each of you should of received an amulet the moment you opened your respective maze entrance door. I stated earlier what the properties of those amulets were, which was on page 1.

Also, your team is now in the room indicated on event 18.

"Huh, wonder why he's running like that... huh?"

> Looking up, Party sees an array of spikes that are slowly falling in his direction.

"...Oh."

"aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" (hops away using his tentacles, trying to catch up with Caboose)

EDIT: i re-read the previous page, and jojo doesn't seem to run away, so i tweaked my post a bit.

really sorry for going MIA for too long. i've been busy these weeks, and i'm trying to learn how this game works and whatnot.

Alright, my turn, I guess.

D —> Let's move forward now

(gets 5 for the room, and 11 for the enemy)

(further uses the rng to decide which one out of the 15 kaiju generated is fought, rolls a 7)

("The huge many-limbed humanoid of nuclear waste. It was created in an experimental accident. It despises humanity.")

-Equius takes a look at the room that he and his team have entered and notices both the bridge and the abomination that is the spawned enemy.-

D —> What the heck is that thing

D —> And this bridge doesn't look safe at all

What should this enemy's stats be, anyway?

Here's a plan: I'll grab its attention while you guys run past the bridge. Sounds good?

Sheik sights the monster and immediately pulls out two kunai, the movement too quick to gauge where they were stored. They take a peek down into the bottomless abyss- or, at least, deep enough for the bottom to be invisible- before turning to 45.

I can scale this bridge, but are you certain about staying behind to distract... whatever manner of beast that is?

[up][up][up](You can narrow the list down by adjusting the number of kaiju generated since there's literally an option to change it from 15 kaiju to 1 kaiju)

(I also added a new room option as well as a new monster option)

UPDATE: I'm considering having the stat total of standard enemies being the same as your current level become the maximum stat limit for them. This way if an enemy seems much weaker than your characters, you can adjust the enemy stats to reflect that.

And to make the boss battles actually feel like boss battles, the bosses will be the only enemies whose actions are determined by the random number generator.

Since the enemy my team is currently facing is an average human with a metal-implanted skull, here's the stats:

  • Health: 2
  • Attack: 2
  • Defense: 3
  • Speed: 2
