You can't tell that you're in the antarctic in 4.1. They could be in orbit after having just stolen a bunch of penguins for some reason.

Yeah, so the current really doesn't do anything to illustrate the supposed "mysteriousness" of Antarctica—only the caption sort-of indicates something spooky going on.
A major difficulty I'm seeing while looking for replacement options is how to show the "Mysterious" and "Antarctica" elements in the same image. At the Mountains of Madness would be an obvious choice, but many
◊ pics
◊ look like it could conceivably be in a number of different places to someone not familiar with the story. Perhaps, say, Siberia? I do find this penguin pic
◊ funny, though.
Things like alien visitors
◊ or secret Nazi bases
◊ have similar issues. Yes, it's mysterious, but would you automatically assume it to be Antarctica?
