Yeah, I don't think so either.
Really? I'm pretty sure they said somewhere that you could, although it's level dependent.
Formerly KarmaMeter. For a stronghold? No. I think the entire point is that you want to install your own existing lieutenant rather than staying with the status quo.
It wouldn't be quite "staying in status quo" if the Overlord has a handmark on his cheek and a reconsidered position on the Gravewalker issue, however. They could even forces you to still lay siege as distraction.
It could be the Overlords are so connected to Sauron you can't Brand them. There never seemed to be an option to Brand them when battling them. In fact, I'm guessing you can't Brand any of the Overlord's lieutenants, either.
Actually in the gameplay debut, Talion was able to brand one of the other Orc captains in Seregost.
Yeah they are just regular captains.
It would be funny if you actually could rebrand captains that have gone back over to the dark side. Potential stories of Love Triangle-esque struggles where a single captain keeps getting branded over to Talion's side, then goes back over to Sauron's side, then Talion's side again and so on, would be hilarious.
"OI! SAURON! 'N YOU TOO, MANLING! YER CONSTANT FOIGHTIN' IS TEARIN' MORDOR APART! WOI CAN'T WE ALL JUS' GET ALONG?!"
That's rich, coming out of an orc.
The fight for control over a servant would be an interesting facet. I wonder if it is possible for it to happen?

Q: Can you dominate and recruit Overlords?
A: You can dominate and recruit any Orcs in the world, yes.

Formerly KarmaMeter.Ah, okay. That's cool then, I guess. It didn't cross my mind because both times we butchered them.

yeySo, in general, assaulting a fort is a 6 step process, according to GS.
Yeah, I saw that too.
I like that you can buy support and that you can't take everyone over to your side this time. The iron will and unbreakable are a nice touch.
Who watches the watchmen?I really like the cosmetic variety regarding the Uruks this time around.
These maggots, though... brrrr...
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I just like having trolls as lieutenants now.
I like all the various things you can buy to support an attack on a fortress.
One thing I noticed, though, is that so far all boss arenas we have seen are essentially the same: A throne room with fire grates on the floor.
Considering how they repeatedly said that the boss arenas are supposed to differ based on their inhabitant (class, tribe etc) I suspect the alternate rooms are still a work in progress.
What I find interesting that the only trolls you encounter (and recruit) are Olog-Hai, i.e. a special breed of troll that's not as light-averse as the normal types - they probably didn't see any need to put in "normal" trolls because their role is already filled by the Graugs (a Shadow of Mordor original creation).
