Am I the only one who wants to see a bow or crossbow like Special Forces sometimes use?

Someone spotted a crossbow in one of the promo pictures for the next DLC, Fallen Ghosts.

Oh crossbows! Hope they make it into the main game, then I can do my "The Wild Geese" thing - HALO jump then taking out sentries with the crossbow. I love the film:

My friend and I think something is kind of hinky with the HTI and long range shooting. We were doing the long distance sniping thing and I swear at least 4 shots cleanly connected on the enemy center mass and it looked like the bullet deflected off of them. The range was almost exactly 1km.

Immy: Daw. It was rather fun causing chaos together. Outside of weekends I am spending more time reading and on my pc these past few weeks. Though another session of mutually assured mayhem would be fun.

I'm sad. I've fallen in love with the MK.48 but almost all the vests are bugged and shows assault rifle rigging instead of LMG rigging.

Very big patch currently downloading - 6.78 Gb for the PC version. No idea what it's for at the moment, but it doesn't look like a Title Update like the first three were.

It's apparently just backend and PC only fixes but there's a lot of stuff in there that dataminers are getting to

Anything interesting? Hopefully something to make up for Narco Road

Maybe it's because of the amount of unholy shit my Nomad and all her pals would be in if they ever ended up in a Bolivian courtroom. Has to be in the low billions for all the helicopters, SU Vs and armored cars that used to belong to UNIDAD that they've sent to the scrapyard by now, not counting the amount of money it costs to train a soldier to operate that kit.

Boy the amount of damage done to jammer and SAM systems, numerous aircraft, tons of vehicles, and of course the collossal number of paid out death bennies.

Zevron is always good fun to listen to. Like Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner.

Details are out for Fallen Ghosts. 15 missions, 4 bosses and 3 regions.

With Santa Blanca now facing a lot of power vacuums after the ending of the main game, UNIDAD has decided to hire people who wouldn't be out of place in Predators in a bid to regain control of Bolivia. These guys come in Enforcers Armoured, Elite Snipers with motion sensors, Jammers that disable drones, and Covert Ops who are optically cloaked.

You have to rebuild a character to play this standalone expansion, albeit at level 30 with all main base game skills already unlocked. The level cap has been increased to 35, with new skills. And new weapons, including a crossbow.

See this game would have made for a perfect open world Predator game.... and hell what you're doing with the cartel would've made even more sense in that you're hunting trophies.

Ok, seeing a dreadlocked alien driving a humvee would've been weird, but there could've been a workaround. Someone pitch the idea to Ubi!

I'm not really happy about building up another character when I've already maxed out Nomad. And I like Nomad. And since she's responsible for the state that Bolivia is now (post Santa Blanca Cartel and the smooshing of UNIDAD), it would make more story sense for her to fix things. Ah well.

Still gonna play it though, I'm not going to lie.

Bit honestly a little pissed we can't get the full map to play with the new toys in. :/

Unless I can take the new kit with me back into the main game I will not be a happy monkey.

Not going to happen, I'm afraid. They'd have to do a lot of work on the main game to get all the other added content in. And I'm pretty sure that after Fallen Ghosts is out and bug patched, which you know is going to happen because Ubisoft, they'll be done with this iteration of the game completely as far as major upgrades go.

It isn't that hard to integrate new equipment like the guns though. Or you know something akin to, go here start this line of missions and when you finish you come back.

New title update announced.

Should be out today for PC, tomorrow morning for consoles.

Lots of good stuff as usual. Lots of bug fixes.

New features include but are not limited to ~

• HUDs can be further customized. You can turn off various input reminders and turn off the little clouds on the minimap if you'd rather be surprised by baddies when you're roaming around.

• Rebel supports now each have separate cooldown timers.

• Resource crates collected in co-op now give resources to everyone in their area.

• You now have a small grace period where you can kill the guy who spotted you in a stealth mission before it fails.

• AI baddies have new callouts for things like alarm panels being destroyed or helicopter reinforcements being called in.

• Longitude and latitude indications have been added to the tacmap.

• The Operation Kingslayer introduction video will no longer play on every bootup

It also says something about "various animations polished". I wonder if that means we'll see a Payday 2 type thing where all the guns get nice good looking reloads and so on.

Four quality of life changes. Like cool downs for each support, the grace period to pop someone quietly, the collection is a good send, and finally not having to muck with the opening.

Playing around a little and it seems like for some of the weapons the reciprocating bolts and ejection ports now move when before they didn't. Some of the reloads have changed as well.

If you own the Deluxe Edition stuff you can also now call in the special minibus and motorcycle with the rebel vehicle dropoff.

The store description for the vehicle packs also say that you can summon them as well. It's something you could have always done but it's nice to see the description changed.
