[up] Yeah, Photobucket is lousy with ads anymore...seriously thinking about finding a new site to host my pics.

I was mainly experimenting with the Ryza Rust on him...others will definitely be more rusted up, along with some Typhus Corrosion as an undercoat.

[up]Imgur or maybe you could make a blog for it? I'm planning on doing the latter myself, once I get a better phone to take pictures with [lol]

I've got an Imgur account, might look into that.

I will be honest and say that the only reason I use Deviant Art for my pics is because I already had the account to look at the age restricted stuff back in the day and thought I may as well get some proper use out of it. I have been thinking about finding a more appropriate place to post my pics recently.

I've been considering posting some of my models to dA, but I'd like to have a better lighting setup before I do...right now all I have is the house lighting and sunlight through the curtains and it's less than ideal for models.

Here is a test model for the Slaves to Darkness Marauders and Brayherd allied Chaos Undivided army for Age of Sigmar. Although I like how the model turned out I am not so sure about the base.

[up] Looks pretty good. The only thing I'd suggest on the base is to clean up the grass that's on the outside of the base.

I got around 6 Poxwalkers completed when I realized that I forgot to clean up the mould lines, and I didn't do a good job at all of smoothing out the sprue connects, so I'm stripping the entire batch and starting over from scratch.

[up]Yeah, I will probably have to get the mower out and give the grass a pit of a trim.

Out of interest, how do you strip the paint from your models? I have a number of old models I want to repaint but have never had the guts to attempt to strip the paint in case I damage them.

If you're in the US: Simple Green or Green Mean. The latter of which can be bought at Walmart for 4 bucks for a BIG jug of it.

Just soak the models needing to be stripped in it for a few hours, then scrub with an old toothbrush or any small bristled brush.

[up]I'm in the UK unfortunately but thanks anyway, I will have to do a bit of research into British equivalents.

There's also a thing called an Ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight. 40 bucks (idk what the price is over in the UK) and it makes it much easier to clean the models.

I started off by spraying a few of the models with Easy Off oven cleaner, which was okay but didn't come out of the can all that well and didn't give good coverage, so only about half the paint came off. I then soaked those models in Simple Green for about 18 hours and that took off 99% of what was left. I'm gonna forego the Easy Off and soak the rest in Simple Green, but I'll need to pick some more up.

An Eagle Warriors Tactical Marine for my Chapter Colours painting project. I do like halved and quartered colour schemes but they are unfortunately not in fashion any moresad

[up] Not bad at all. [tup]

Well, my plan to actually paint the Death Guard models is coming to an end...I think. I've found someone through our FB group for local wargaming sales/trades that wants to trade her Primaris Marines for the DG, so that should be happening sometime next week.

Here is a model I painted a while ago, the Wight King with Black Axe who will lead my Deathrattle Age of Sigmar army. He is a little monotone but I like how he ended up looking.

[up] Looks good...gotta admit, it took me a second to find his face.

I picked up an Eversor Assassin last weekend and got him assembled yesterday, so I'll probably start painting him next. Now that I have three sets of Primaris Marines thanks to the DG trade and eBay, I'm waiting to see what the new Astartes codexes do for the Salamanders and Blood Angels before painting more of them. Also debating on whether or not to sell my Necrons to use as seed money for future purchases.

Thanks. That was a bit of an issue but I think at least some of that could be due to the angle of the pic and the head.

I look forward to seeing your Eversor, it is my favourite of the current Assassin models.

This is gonna be fun [lol]

This week I have painted the Visarch for a planned Ynnari Vanguard Detachment. I do love the model and am really happy with how he turned out.

Here is the Troll, Ugz da Gitsmasha, I have painted for my Orc Blood Bowl Team. I like how he turned out even if I am not the greatest fan of the model.

[up] Very nice! I like the basing, too.

I really need to make some time to start painting my Eversor.
