The current seems rather fuzzy...either suggestion is fine with me as a replacement.

I find the first has better composition, with the sun in the centre. The fuzziness that comes with the light isn't quite the same as the fuzziness in the current image. On the other hand, the second is clearly clearer.

I prefer 1.1. To me 1.2 is less "riding into the sunset" and more "riding toward the sunset". I can accept the fuzziness from having the camera aimed right at the full sunset.
