IMO Selina makes a better protagonist for a Gotham City Sirens plot than Harley does, which is why she tends to be the front character for their adventures in the comics, but I'm still optimistic.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Uhhhhhhh...
Wait a minute, who said Gotham City Sirens was going to be animated?
That article didn't say anything about the movie being animated, so why's this here?

Even if it were, I am super leery of the idea of Margot Robbie doing the voice. That part was easily the worst aspect of her portrayal from what I saw of the Suicide Squad trailers.
This song needs more love.As someone who actually saw Suicide Squad, I can honestly say that Harley's pretty great there.
Hell, I distinctly remember reading that she took Batman: The Animated Series as inspiration for Harley's comedic scenes in that movie.
This isn't animated it will be live action directed by David Ayer and written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet.
It is set in the DCEU and it is the movie Margot Robbie pitched to Warner Bros. before Suicide Squad was released.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSo then it's gonna be awful.
To the critics but I loved both Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman.
I liked Suicide Squad but not as much as the other two movies in the DCEU.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureOn the one hand, I do quite enjoy the Gotham City Sirens comics and look forward to seeing Poison Ivy and Harley working together on the big screen.
On the other, uuuuuuuuuuugh not david ayer again
(On a third, secret hand, shouldn't this thread be moved to live-action, since we know it's not animated?)
they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller list-blink- -blink-
Well, shows how much I was paying attention. I misread and thought they said it was going to be an animated film.
Updating OP.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Sounds interesting, if it ever happens that is.
Children of Dievas - my webcomic about the Northern CrusadesMargot killed it as Harley... but I actually do agree that her voice was the worst part.
How do I put it... the emotional acting in it was fine, but it was still annoying and her accent wasn't the best. I worry if Margot is doing voicework for Harley, to be honest (if that's the case, of course).

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Hopefully the script is given more than six weeks this time.
Jessica Chastain is open to playing Poison Ivy
I was actually surprised by how much depth Arkham Knight gave to Poison Ivy. In a lot of cases she is treated as a plant themed man eater and overall eco terrorist, Bruce Timm even said he never felt they found a good balance with her. The main thing is that she is not really human anymore, meaning the tree hugger angle is a superficial look into who she is. In the Arkham games she seems to actually feel the pain of plants, and that casts a different light on why she does what she does.
David Ayer reveals why he's making Gotham City Sirens
Gotham City Sirens will team up Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy. It’s a passion project for Margot Robbie, who will produce and reprise her role as Harley Quinn.
When asked if Harley will have a new look in Gotham City Sirens, Ayer teased: “Let’s put a pin in that. Maybe next Comic-Con. Everybody evolves.”
Well I'm sure if Robbie is pushing this forward the way Ryan Reynolds did for Deadpool, she's going to have a new costume. That's one of the big things she hated about the role in Suicide Squad. It was cold out there on set, and she was in that skimpy outfit.
She also said she liked eating huge burgers for lunch and she didn't think she was in great enough shape to wear the costume from Suicide Squad. She did like the costume in that it was something that the character would wear but not something she would wear personally.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'd say she still pulled the outfit off, so there's that. Harley wore a bunch of costumes, didn't she?
Good to see Selina and Poison Ivy.
Mileena MadnessCautiously interested is me.
Great characters in theory, but very bad precedent in the SS movie. While I don't think Ayer crafted a masterpiece in the first place, I do think production was at least as much responsible for the disaster as he was, if not more.
Is there a projected release date yet, or are we guessing maybe 2018-2019 or so?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yeah David Ayer admitted in hindsight he should've had the Joker be the main villain in Suicide Squad either that or an enemy army. He said he messed up trying to have the Enchantress be the villain in Suicide Squad.
Sure there were other problems but the villain didn't fit to David Ayer's strengths at making war and police movies.
They might announce it tomorrow; in that interview David Ayer said maybe next Comic Con we will see Harley Quinn in a new outfit.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
There's a Harley Quinn
animatedfilm announced, and Margot Robbie is voicing Harley.Apparently it's going to be a Gotham City Sirens adapt. They're sticking to female screenwriters for this one.
