Added more depth to the backstory and changed Gavan's laser sword to a battery heat sword.
Plumbum, my ship is pretty big and built for ramming and boarding. If no one else volunteers, you can be on mine.
I kinda approached another potential player about it; since I asked them first, rules of politeness say I should probbers see if they're up for it before I deffo give you a yes or a no, buddy.
Still, Garbhán's gonna need a drinking buddy/wingman.
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.That's fine.
for the former Minverva certainly would apply, Aydan for the latter :P
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Oh man, my intro post was so much fun to write. I can't wait for this to get started.
Hell, same.
The OP has been crafted. I'm sitting on the trigger. Call it y'all, Thursday is Thanksgiving and a lot of folks are gonna be busy, should I maybe launch on Friday? Alternatively I can launch on Wednesday and we just have like our second day be a little slower. I'm still waiting on sgt's character but that's no big problem, he's prolly gonna finish like tonight or tomorrow. I got someone else who might make a character later but they said for us to go on without em for now.
I'm not doing anything on Thanksgiving, so I'd be up for starting tomorrow.
All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world. My country doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving and I don't go to school tomorrow, so I am fine with the rp starting tomorrow.
I'm British so yeah...
Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.I would probably find some time to post during Thanksgiving.
Germany also doesn't celebrate it, so I'd be free too
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"And my profile is finished!
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Celebrating thankgiving today but its an afternoon thing since p. much my entire family works nights. So I'm down for it starting hefore thanksgiving day.
No preference. Most of the others seem okay with starting anytime, I'm down with that.
Huh, had no idea we had so many foreigners in the RP! Then again, TV Tropes is also one of the most multinational forums I've ever been on so maybe I should have guessed.
Nataliya is approved and added to the character list at the bottom of the OP.
What about me?
Now known as Cyber ControllerOh yeah, sorry dog, you're cool. With all the profiles here I thought I'd approved yours already. You're good to go.
Sorry - I've been late - I've had two essays do. I'll repost my old character sheet from the old signup sheet.
- Name: Jay Berryman
- Age: 27
- Race: Human
- Appearance: He has severe burns on his hands and face. Having lost most of his hair, he now shaves his head. Due to heavy burns, his once-handsome features are now disfigured. He dresses in his old fur-lined bomber jacket from his Air Force days with sunglasses and white trousers.
- Personality: Once friendly and cocky, Jay is now marked by cynicism and heavy sarcasm due to his self-loathing and self-pitying that arose from his injuries. However, he still maintains his love of flying and is desperate to prove to everyone and himself that he is still just as good of a pilot as he ever was. So strong is this desire to prove the world wrong that his "leisure time" is often spent just practicing flying. Despite his currently abrasive personality, he still does maintain his love of human company and likes to show off when he can.
- Equipment: A six-shot revolver and a box of bullets that he always keeps handy. Also has a book of matches and a flask that's always filled with a little of that "liquid courage" that Jay feels enhances his flying.
- Skills: Is a decent shot with his pistol. Is quite adept at drink mixology and knows a fair bit about military tactics, particularly in regards to aircraft combat.
- Background: From Queensland (my island substitute for England), Jay always loved going to air shows with his father and, thus, enlisted to be in the war as part of Queensland's Air Force. While he was a good pilot, he was shot down in battle and doused with jet fuel and suffered severe burns. He received an honorable discharge and got a pension but due to the damage suffered in his hands, the Air Force felt that his performance would be affected so they denied him entry back to the force. Bitter over this, Jay has been practicing to overcome the slowness of his hands in regards to piloting and has signed up with the High Aces - dedicated to proving that he's just as good of a pilot as he ever was.
- Aircraft: A Tigertail Flipper (basically a fictional equivalent of an Armstrong Whitworth F.K.8). Has a rear mounted machine gun for the observer but no weapons for the pilot. Looks like this.
- Crew:
- Pilot - Jay Berryman
- Observer/Gunner: A Anthropomorphic Shepadoodle Dog named Bosco who has is agreeable but has a tendency to get distracted during combat.
Jay Berryman is good to go.
Still taking on pilots? I've also got an idea for a sky-bayou of some sort.
I think that at 12 currently I feel fine going up to 14. So that's you, that's Saturn from what I've been getting in PM's, and that's it, alright? Closed up after that. Go ahead, KRV.
I also fixed my post a bit ago.
