Whoops, it turns out that I cannot add new entries to the Main Lists because I'm not the original poster. I'll see what I can do. In the meanwhile, both of Vampire's and TopGof's characters are approved.

- Name: Stanley Waylon
- Species: Human
- Skills: Average strength. Higher than average intelligence. Survival instinct. Uh... I played baseball in elementary school? Does that help?
- Personality: On an average day, Stan is charming and witty. He has a big sense of humor, and is very fun loving. But, days are rarely average here. Stanley is often stupefied and bumbling due to the amount of monsters in his area.
- Appearance: https://ibb.co/bDGJ3F
- Background: He'd leave, but he really doesn't want to. Something about monsters attracts Stanley. It's a bit of a turn-on, without venturing into rude territory. So, Stanley tries to bridge the gap with monsters, because he's really into them. He's relatively new, so he doesn't know that many people, but he wants to know people, and he wants to meet a nice monster girl to live with for the rest of his life. Is that so much to ask for?
Hello again, Taco. No problem, you can have a normal human character. But are you fully familiar with the setting? Most (not all) monsters are people transformed by a magitech accident. And while San Lorenzo has a lot of them, there are many more humans. There's considerable racial tension but also groups trying to help society heal.
Anyway, approved. Err, I'm waiting on permission to edit the membership list (I did not make the first post) but go ahead and play already if you want.

Hello again. I did have a different idea of the lore when writing it, but after re-reading, I don't think it changes anything, really.

*Name: Roger "Rocky" Rothstein
*Species: Golem
*Skills:
- Super strength and nigh invulnerability
- Some training in boxing and judo
*Personality: Gregarious, loyal, and gentle, Rocky has taken his newfound status as a monster well - maybe too well. His kids think he's in denial, and Rocky does experience intermittent depressive periods. His new physique means that he has to be careful at all times to avoid accidentally hurting anyone, and while he has successfully done so so far, he has a tendency to break things by accident.
*Appearance: Rocky is a seven foot tall person-shaped hunk of clay, completely bald, and usually clad in a t-shirts and jeans
*Background:
- Roger Rothstein was a perfectly average man from Chicago. He was widowed, had two adult kids (Sam, a math teacher, and Rachel, an attorney), and worked as an elementary school gym teacher. Then the M-reactor malfunctioned, turning Roger into a golem. The school he worked at fired him, thinking he was a potential threat to the students.
- In what his kids have called a mid-life crisis and Roger has called an opportunity, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a wrestler. Starting off locally, he quickly grew a following. After finding out about the existence of the Monster League, he's moved to Southern California to join.

The San Lorenzo Witches Coven
- Name: Paloma Dominguez
- Species: Witch
- Skills:
- Paloma's affinity is cats, allowing her to communicate with them, influence them, and in some cases outright control them.
- Paloma is always accompanied by her Familiar, a ginger tabby named Xochi. Xochi is a construct created by the spirit Paloma made her deal with, and relays everything she experiences back to the spirit even as she assists Paloma. Xochi has all the abilities you'd expect from a cat, plus human-level intelligence.
- Personality: The coven doesn't have an official leader, but if they did, it would probably be Paloma. The most knowledgeable and experienced of the coven, she's an expert on magic and she wants you to know that. She's an adept manipulator, especially when it comes to using the image of a sweet old lady to get what she wants. She's very attached to Cassandra (and to a lesser extent, Elaine), who she views as as something of a surrogate daughter, and while she wouldn't say she likes Morgan, they do respect one another, somewhat.
- Appearance: A rotund sixtysomething Mexican woman with shoulder-length gray hair tied back in a bun, wearing a black knee-length skirt and red shawl, always accompanied by a scrappy ginger tabby.
- Background:
- In 1969, Paloma's mother contracted influenza. She was ill for weeks, with no apparent end in sight. A then thirteen-year-old Paloma had a dream telling her to go to the Mojave Desert if she wanted to save her mother, so Paloma stole her father's car and drove into the desert. There, she met a spirit who promised her power, enough to save her mother, and Paloma accepted. Paloma was found two days later by the authorities and returned to her family. While she had been gone, her mother had passed away.
- Paloma spent the next fifty years working at the local animal shelter and practicing magic, aided by a mysterious cat she found who she named Xochi. Children told stories about her being a witch, and adults avoided her with tight-lipped disapproval. Paloma told herself she was fine with this.
- After the M-reactor malfunctioned, Paloma was visited by Cassandra Gardner, a witch who had been kicked out by her parents. Impressed by Cassandra's lack of fear, Paloma agreed to take her on as a student and boarder. They were later joined by a third witch, Morgan Prescott, to form a coven.
- Name: Morgan Prescott
- Species: Witch
- Skills:
- Morgan's affinity is for levitation, allowing her to make herself and objects around her float with ease.
- Personality: Calm and collected, Morgan largely communicates through sarcasm as a means of hiding her insecurities. And she has many insecurities, largely stemming from her screwed-up upbringing and how it relates to her status as an unwed mother and a witch. So she points out others' flaws, she digs into their anxieties, and she makes herself feel better for a while. On some level, she's aware that this behavior isn't healthy, but she can't stop herself. More than anything, she wants to prove herself and be a good parent to Elaine, and while she skews toward overprotective most of the time, it has yet to cause any problems seeing as Elaine is only five.
- For her part, Elaine is a sweet, precocious girl who likes coloring, cartoon robots, and stealing things (given her lack of guilt over it, it's probably not kleptomania. Morgan is adamant that it's just a phase). Paloma and Cassandra have more or less adopted her as a sort of niece.
- Appearance: A rail thin blonde with a sharp face and a penchant for sweater vests and dark blue.
- Elaine is a small, chubby half-Vietnamese girl who wears a lot of pink.
- Background:
- Morgan is the middle child and sole daughter of a preppy east coast family. Her father, Darcy Prescott III, had some...interesting ideas about child-rearing, and he pitted Morgan and her brothers, Darcy IV and Elliot, against one another for his affection in the name of making them "strong." Her mother Melinda preferred to verbally belittle Morgan while coddling Darcy and Elliot.
- During a family vacation in California, nineteen-year-old Morgan met a bartender named Ned Nguyen. The two of them started dating, mostly because Morgan knew her family would never approve of him. A month in, Morgan discovered she was pregnant. Seeing a way away from her family, Morgan convinced Ned to run away with her, and they ended up in San Lorenzo. Morgan attended community college and worked as a waitress; Ned continued tending bar.
- As Morgan and Ned got to know each other, they soon realized that they were very incompatible in the long term. When Elaine was two, they decided to split up, alternating custody every week.
- After the M-reactor malfunctioned, Morgan found herself causing things and people around her to suddenly float (and on occasion, floating herself). After a few months of mishaps, she visited a fortune teller for advice (despite being somewhat skeptical about the whole thing). Said fortune teller was Cassandra Gardner, another woman who had developed strange abilities after the M-reactor, and the two formed an unlikely friendship. After Morgan was introduced to Cassandra's mentor Paloma Dominguez, the three of them started a coven.
- Name: Cassandra Gardner
- Species: Witch
- Skills:
- Cassandra's affinity is for divination. When she is underwater, she can see the future. If time is of the essence, she can just dunk her head, but complete submersion works best for the full effect.
- Cassandra is an experienced swimmer.
- Personality: Cassandra is dour, deadpan, and death-obsessed (she would probably qualify as a Goth if not for a fashion sense that some have described as "tweenage eco-fairy princess"). She may be moody and passive aggressive, but her insight and compassion are the glue that holds the coven together.
- Appearance: A pale girl with shoulder-length auburn hair and a swimmer's build. Her typical outfit consists of a t-shirt, a pink tulle skirt, and purple hi-top sneakers. Also glitter.
- Background:
- Cassandra didn't have a particularly fun childhood - bouncing from foster home to foster home and getting bullied relentlessly. Things started looking up in sixth grade, when she joined the swim team and proved to be quite good at it.
- The day after the M-reactor malfunctioned, Cassandra had a vision of a fire at a hotel during a swim meet. While her school lost, Cassandra, intrigued by what she had seen, visited the hotel and ended up witnessing the fire in person.
- After several more experiments, Cassandra concluded that something had happened, and she decided to visit Paloma Dominguez, an elderly woman rumored to be a witch. She managed to convince Paloma to take her on as a student and boarder.
- Cassandra dropped out of school and started working as a fortune teller. It was through this that she met Morgan Prescott, another witch. The two formed an unlikely friendship, and Morgan joined Cassandra and Paloma to form a coven.
Please nobody else post here, use the Updated thread to avoid confusion.
Isn't it awkward when you are about to post an idea, then find that you took so long typing it up that somebody else posted an idea along similar lines? Anyway here's three possible antagonists for you.
Don't really know for sure what I was thinking when I made these, but I was going for an enemy that you have options on how to face. You can brute force it to no small amount of difficulty or choose a different route, and maybe not have to fight at all. Anyways, all of them are flawed and need some serious editing, and chopping down. But I'm writing this super late when I'm writing this and I am not in a proper state to make these decisions. I'm forced to fall back on the excuse as old as time itself "I'll do it later." I appreciate any feedback but don't feel pressured to read all or any of it. I get really wordy when I'm sleepy. Argue everything you can argue. Doubt everything you believe. Ask every question you have. Argue, doubt and ask. Through this we learn.
