Grendan flew higher to assess the situation, looking around for a moment before nodding in satisfaction. "Looks like things're under control over here. It's about time to go reinforce Sir Tigra." He was about to begin the flight over, but changed his mind on seeing a small building in the trees to the north.

"Actually, you guys can take care of that- I think I see something over there."

Move to O16 and defend.

Gertrude saw another bandit ahead. She moved on to fight him.

F21 attack with Steel Sword.

Kiri allowed herself to dip in the air in order to dodge the arrow and flew at the bandit intending to plunge her sword into him.

Move to I19, Attack Bandit 18

Zeera nodded after hearing Grendan's suggestion.

She turned around and began making her way back. She saw Gertrude appear from the mountains nearby, so she swerved her path to follow along behind Gertrude's, and then prepared to cast a fire spell at the bandit ahead.

Move to G21. Attack Bandit 34.

"At last, their ambush is broken," Gramps said. "Onwards, to victory!"

Gramps to F20. Heal Gertrude.

Eridan suddenly snapped to attention, like he as been in a trance or something. He looked around and saw that he and his comrades had cleared the immediate area of the bandits. He did not pay the closest attention to what had happened, but it was a job well done regardless.

Move to H20, Counter

"Nae bad wuirk, at all," said Buck admiringly. He was off again, initially toward the closest axeman in range, only to swerve aside as the poor sap was buried under attacks. He shifted north.

Buck to F19, defend.

"Well fought, everyone!" Tigra called, seeing the last of Keeve's sneak attack group fall to the steel and spells of her company even as she cut down another herself. "Your treachery avails you nothing, worm! Your so-called reign ends here!"

Keeve spat. "Bah! Weaklings, the lot of them! Come, Tigra, and we'll see who's axe is strongest!"

"Captain, we must break their charge! Block them off!" Gramps roared as he dashed ahead towards the mountainside, planting his staff firmly in the ground and bracing himself against the incoming tide of bandits.

"Let's see, what do we have here..." Grendan muttered to himself as he investigated the building he'd spotted. He probably shouldn't stay too long, since it was incredibly risky to be separated from the others on the battlefield, but there was no telling what he could find with even a cursory inspection.

Besides, if he thought he'd missed something he could always return for a more thorough search when there were fewer enemies in the area, right?

Move to O15, check the house, then move to K17.

"Let's try to end this quickly." said the dragon eyeing the fortress as she flew forward to join Tigra.

Move to H18

"Allow me" Gertrude moved on to make a spearhead.

F17 counter with Steel Sword.

As the others charged ahead, Zeera turned and looked at the stray bandit in the middle of the road.

Why's no one else attacking him?

Once she was at the end of her dash, Zeera spun around and shot a fireball at the bandit in question.

Move to D19. Attack Bandit 33.

"Oh, looks like we missed one."

Move to G20, Attack Bandit 33 with Flux.

Buck nudged Nixie over a little, trying to judge distances and speeds. Thus far the enemy had been content to attack piecemeal, which worked well in their favor; evidently the bandits were not the sharpest tools in the drawer.

Buck to E19, attack E20 if possible, otherwise defend.

• Gramps moves to F16 and defends.
• Grendan moves to O15 and visits the house.

The house appeared to have been abandoned even before the bandits had taken the nearby fort, and escaped their notice from its concealment in the trees. A thick layer of dust and cobwebs lay on the few pieces of furniture, and nothing of use or value appeared to have been left behind. As Grendan turned to leave, though, something caught the corner of his eye. In a corner of the room was a bundle of cloth. Retrieving and unwrapping it, he found a bandolier of throwing knives.

"The mountains! Watch the mountains!" Tigra called out, seeing her troops so focused on the open path that they were missing the one down the mountainside right past their ranks. Already, the nearer axeman was headed straight for Buckley.

Grendan considered the knives he had looted from the old house. Such knives were sometimes used for hunting, but were more often used by pickpockets and the like due to their ease of concealment; regardless, they would be an invaluable tool to the mercenaries, with a bit of practice.

He slung the bandolier over his shoulder to free his hands, then debated whether to go back to reinforce his allies, or go attack that mage he'd just realized was within his reach.

After all other allies' actions: If Bandit 13 is not dead, move to F16 or G15 (whichever is available) and attack him with Throwing Knives; if Bandit 13 is dead but Bandit 36 is not, move adjacent (E18 if vacant, D17 otherwise) and attack him with Iron Sword; if both of the above are dead but Bandit 35 is not, move to H16 and attack him with Iron Sword; if all of the above are dead, move to K10 and attack Bandit 11 with Iron Sword.

Gertrude saw another group of archers. She moved forward to attack them.

D16 attack D15 with Iron Sword.

After lagging behind for a while, Michel decided to play a bit more of an active role. Just strolling along in the back wasn't anywhere near an accurate demonstration of his skills, after all.

Move to D20 and attack Bandit 36.
