Opened.
We probably can't use Pokémon Red and Blue without it being similar to the image already used for the games' page, and the games' page gets the priority here.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Surely the same is true for the Oracle games, though? I mean, I guess you kind of get around that problem by having the picture be of an advert, but could we maybe put up an advertisement for one of the paired Pokemon games?
They call themselves seamstresses -Feet Of ClayFor the record, the thread that chose the image, a second thread thereafter that closed with no action taken, and a THIRD thread that ALSO closed with no action taken. Third thread decided to wait on a TRS thread, which, yet again, closed with no action taken.

Moon◊A couple of Megaman Battle Network 4 pictures: Title Screens◊, Box Art◊
We can just use a Pokémon game besides Red and Blue. For example, take the box art image from Pokémon X and Y and put it on One Game for the Price of Two, and replace it with the official Pokemon X and Y logos◊ on the game page.
That's a possibility.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI can even give the logo a transparent background so it looks good even with Night Vision on.
Heck, I'll do it for both.

Another option is to use Red and Blue after all, but switch the boxes' position with each other. It's a bit of a cheat, but it'll technically be a different image from the one on the game page.
I am fine with 10.
Yeah, I like that image quite a bit. Are there any objections to it?
They call themselves seamstresses -Feet Of ClayI normally consider the image being a good example only if all else is equal, but in this case, all else really is equal, so 10 has the edge over the current due to being a better example.
Check out my fanfiction!Which one in 10, though? That's two separate images. I like the boxes, so 10.2.
Boxes.
Check out my fanfiction!10.2 for me, I think.
(Annoyed grunt)Here's the problem.
Pokémon X and Y is currently using that image, and switching it out for just the logos (10.1) will cause it to stick out like a sore thumb because evey other main Pokémon game page has the mascots and box covers as their page images.
The logos image is also inferior for the game page because it's missing the Pokémon—which is kind of important—and it's just blander.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I don't suppose this◊ would be any good?
(Annoyed grunt)For which page? The games or this?
Maybe we should use one of the Mega Man Battle Network game pairs. We only have one page for the entire subseries, so we won't need to gimp any existing page images.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Sorry, I meant for One Game for the Price of Two.
(Annoyed grunt)I'd really rather use a Pokémon game, since the series is pretty much the Trope Maker, Trope Codifier, Ur-Example, etc.
On the other hand, I actually like the idea of not using Pokémon necessarily, just to show the trope is broader than that one series.
Plus, the consistency headaches raised above probably aren't worth it.

I say we keep the current, unless we find another good image lampshading this trope (which the current image does).

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
While the current image is technically functional in that it presents two thematically linked games that were released simultaneously with some interaction needed for 100% Completion, they only loosely fit the trope. For one, the games are, despite sharing an engine and some mechanics, two completely different stories, have two completely different worlds, each one has 8 unique dungeons, and just in general are essentially complete games on their own. It befuddles me that the image used for the page isn't of Pokemon Red and Blue, being hands down *the* most famous example of this trope. And, to boot, a significantly better example of the trope by virtue of the paired games having no story differences, minimal gameplay differences, and being part of a Mons series (as are most of the games listed under that trope).
