On paper it sounds very good but I felt we didn't really don't get enough time with Harry to let his very legitimate issues sink in before the toll they take on him and his nastier traits start to destroy the good will we have for him.

Another series with high school Peter pass.

I'm so sick of high school spider-man.

Can't we have another series that starts with him in college like the 90's cartoon?

Also doesn't help that I hear that it will be based off of the crappy Dan Slott run.

[up]I don't really see your point, he technically didn't have that many series where he actually was a teenager. Personally I am fine with a show starting in Highschool, though I would like if he became adult later on at some point.

I just want a good show that doesn't get nixed early.

Yeah, he's only been in high school in two recent shows, and only one of them actually did anything with the setting.

Hell, even though the movies start with Peter in high school, they don't really use the setting or characters and move away from it fast. Homecoming seems to be actually taking advantage of the high school setting.

I just hope that he's not in high school for long.

I want to see college and adult spider-man cause he's been an adult way longer then he was in high school.

Be even better if we could get a cartoon where he marries Mary Jane. Sadly that will never happen cause Marvel hates MJ.

I'll give you that, one of his interesting aspects in the comic is that they let him grow out of it and did something with him as an adult.

Like everyone else, I am fine with high school Age Spider-Man as long as the show allows him to grow. Though I don't get this mentality where teenage Spider-Man is a bad thing to see when one of the original/key appeal to his character is that he is meant to be an audience surrogate for the reader/viewer. It's like complaining about an X-Men team for being made of young teenagers even though a) mutants powers starts to develop during their adolescence and b) Xavier's is made to teach mutants how to use their powers so naturally some of the members of the. X Men will be teens.

My problem with high school Spider-Man is how over exaggerated it is. Peter was only in high school for the first 28 issues. That's it. He was in college way longer then he was ever in high school. Plus all of the important stories happen after he leaves high school.

Also as someone who grew up with a married Spider-Man I feel alienated how when Marvel talks about Spider-Man's teenage years and make a big deal about it. It doesn't help that ever since One More Day Marvel has regressed the character and made him more immature.

I honestly don't mind really. sure it's overdone but I'll give it a go. through I wouldn't mind spider man in college. that is something that needs to be addressed.

I barely remember but, can kids relate to adults? i don't know, i was just wondering.

Someday they might make a show about an adult Peter mentoring a high school aged Miles, so they can get the best of both worlds.

[up][up] I never had a problem relating to a married Spider-Man when I was a kid.

Honestly I grew up with adult Spider-Man too for the most part, but I get why they are putting emphasis on his teenager years: Spider-Man started the concept of a teenage hero and that makes him easier to identify with for kids. Though yeah, I didn't have problem with adult heroes as a kid.

None of the shows are the comics, though.

Part of it is because Peter was one of the first teen heroes that wasn't a sidekick.

And the last time they did college age Peter was for the MTV show.

Anyway, with Homecoming coming up, it makes sense for this Peter to be in high school.

[up] Exactly, the show's are their own continuity.

Probably wouldn't be in the first season. It would also pretty weird if they did while Peter is in high school.

I also hope that means we get to see Smyth in an animated show again. I do like Slott's Spider-Slayer arc, Gargan teaming up with Smyth because of their mutual hatred of Jameson made a lot of sense.

The flame wars are going to be epic. Slott better start watching his blood pressure.

Stephen Wacker loves trolling his audience on his Tumblr, so having Dan and Stephen in the same creative team for this show is going to be interesting. Potentially, Teen Titans Go! 's creative team level of interesting.
