Okay, that bad ending is f@%ked up.

My only question now is: Why did that detective guy betray the party? Did he die, much like a certain other character from Persona 3? I mean, it's an obvious plot twist, but there has to be some crazy reason why to make up for that.

As far as I can tell, it seems that he's going all Light Yagami, wanting to exterminate all criminals. Kinda ironic, considering that Light's seiyuu's voicing Ryuji.

I guess I will say although people will complain about the traitor being obvious, it at least doesn't stab as deep knowing that it's ultimate just Goro being a dirty cop instead of one of your actually True Companions stabbing you in the back.

Which is exactly what makes it a hollow choice in my opinion. Maybe he's already built a rapport with the party or is just a generally likable character otherwise, but the kid who's a detective, has the Justice Arcana, and has shown signs of being disapproving of the Thieves' methods in pre-release content turning out to be a traitor is both overly obvious and has very little impact on the player.

Naoto needs to show up and kick the shit out of Goro for being a disgrace to Kid Detectives and Sixth Rangers.

I mean, there are differing levels of spoilers. Spoilers about an ending aren't the same as, say, spoilers about a Social Link.

And plus it's hard for everyone to even know if they're up to date on the spoilers or not, you know?

I just feel like if you're going to label a thread "Spoiler Zone," you should be damn well prepared to encounter unmarked spoilers.

Maybe "Persona 5 Discussion Thread (Beware of spoilers!)" might've been a more accurate title. I don't know, I just feel like hiding spoilers in a thread tagged "Spoiler Zone" kind of kills the purpose of "Spoiler Zone."

So Rise gets a cameo? Not the character I expected but seeing as she's the best girl from 4 I can't be too mad.

I hope we get to see Nameless again too if Belladonna's back. I admit part of why I don't want to see 3 and 4 referenced is because 1 and 2 basically got shitcanned and ignored, so if they're gonna rep all of Persona I'm fine with them including the more recent ones, too.

Let's be real, the traitor was never going to any of the girls for waifu reasons nor was it going to be Morgana because that wouldn't have made a ton of sense from what I hear about her and Ryuji doesn't seem the type. That leaves Yusuke and Goro.

But my husbandos.

I mainly suspected Yusuke, but I think Goro works fine. Anyone else would have had plenty of time to betray by that point, and motivations are more important than surprise.

Anne's female friend killed herself to deal with the abuse Kamoshida caused.

Morgana also says Anne stole his heart in a romantic.
