Opened. It seems rather pointless to me.
Kill it.

Question: Is there anything about this one page that makes it unique compared to... well, everything in the namespace? Seriously, check it out.
They're all just lists of releases.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Somehow this page attracted even less activity than the others, which combined with the Image Pickin' thread and the low "this page has brought X number of people to this wiki" number, made me figure no one cares about this subject.
Not even the author seems to care, since he/she hasn't participated in this thread.

But my point is that if we axe this, we may as well axe the entire namespace. The reasons for cutting this would apply to everything else in the namespace.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Well, the series of events leading up to this thread begins with someone copying and pasting the picture from WesternAnimation. The Disney Afternoon onto this page. This became the only duplicate image that I couldn't find a good replacement for, so I started an Image Pickin' thread. It ended up receiving more replies about the page's merit than for a new picture, so I decided to redirect that discussion to a new thread.
This hasn't become the only Walt Disney Home Video page with a Trope Repair thread, as the Marvel subpage also has one (due to Marvel tapes and discs not actually saying "Disney" on them). Everything else, Fighteer assured me doesn't violate any rules.

If the others aren't bad enough to cut, then neither is this.
Having a duplicate image is no reason to cut a page. If you think the page should be cut for other reasons, then by all means. But if those other reasons apply to the other pages, they should go as well.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? That's true. They seem to be very much not on-mission for the site.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.To me, it seems telling that Tropers willing to deliver that many extraneous details about so many other Disney home video releases won't bother writing any entries about Ducktales, Chip 'n Dale, Goof Troop, Quack Pack, Darkwing Duck, or Gummi Bears DVDs. I thought it seemed like the few Tropers willing to maintain these pages (probably three Tropers including me) consider other lines higher priorities, making me question the need for a page that no one wants to complete.

This is less complete than the rest? Color me surprised.
The problem is less the completion and more the fact it has nothing to do with tropes.
As someone said in the original IP thread, this is Trivia at most, and possibly barely that. I cannot speak for anyone but Karxrida who seems to agree with me but I don't anyone's reasons for supporting cutting this don't also apply to the namespace as a whole.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Beyond this namspace, there is a whole raft of similar pages in the Creator namespace. See Main.Home Video Distributors
All these pages are pretty pointless and should be cut.
If we want to go that far, I should let you know from past events that it could prove difficult to convince one frequent contributor to the Disney pages, jameygamer, that these pages have nothing to do with tropes.
Then let me expand on my previous comment - Cut the entire namespace.
Yeah, let's do that.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Should someone invite jameygamer and ryanasaurus0077 to this discussion, since they seem like the only other people who bother updating these articles? (Indeed, the former added more pages to the namespace these past few days, without me noticing.)
Also, unless it seemed too early to do so, I changed this into a thread discussing the namespace as a whole.

Even The Other Wiki is generally tolerant of such pages, and that says a lot considering I've known detractors to compare us to them in terms of strictness, which I do not wish to go into detail about. And if we cut home video distributor pages, we may as well cut pages for every distributor, channel, etc., and that would be more damaging to our mission than are the pages in dispute here, and I'm dead certain the pages here are no worse than a side-quest of sorts (and per The Other Wiki's definition of the word: "A side-quest is an optional section of a video game, and is commonly found in role-playing video game. It is a smaller mission within a larger storyline, and can be used as a means to provide non-linear structures to an otherwise linear plot. As a general rule, the completion of side-quests are not essential for the game to be finished, but can bring various benefits to the player characters."). Call them what you will, but I personally see them as the dessert to the main course that is the main page for each respective film or TV series, the manual to the same pages' main attraction, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. My point is, they are at least informative enough.
(BTW I'm the one who started this whole trend by making a page for Magnetic Video, an important figure in entertainment by virtue of being the Trope Codifier for home video itself.)
Does it seem possible to keep the page about the history of Walt Disney Home Video in either case?
Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
An Image Pickin' thread reporting on this page's use of a duplicate image turned into a discussion on whether or not the page even seems necessary.
