I've reverted the change.

The "amusing part" is difficult to convey; the 3rd Three Stooges pic is doing the best job.

Out of all these, I like the 5.1 the best... but there's gotta be something better.

Still hoping for Klonoa to get a new game... or a movie like thisThat one's not bad, but it's a little grainy.
I think I like 4.3 the best.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. The zapped image:

Hooked.

I think the FMA one is very weak on the actual injuries part. It's just slapstick. Without showing what the amusing part is. The trope is about injuries that should take a while to heal, but heal instantly because it's just a gag. Just getting hit isn't what the trope is about.
Check out my fanfiction!I haven't read it that closely, but if that's indeed the case, then there's several panels of Keitaro taking such injuries in Love Hina, although finding them might be tricky.
The other FMA suggestion is a good example, though, since it shows him bleeding from the wrench, in a way that clearly doesn't matter for the plot.

I am puzzled by what people see in the Ed Elric pic. That character appears to be in pain. The scene itself may be a valid example but this shot doesn't convey it to me.

I voted for Ed over the smerfs because that picture involves an injury and is amusing while I don't find anything particularly amusing about the smerf pic.
Exactly.
Without context, both images look about equally 'amusing'.
Any idea why the usual suspects Itchy & scratchy didn't make it into the final? Or why Tom & Jerry or the coyote weren't considered?
I thought I&S were on the same level as Brainy, i.e. not amusing. That Tom and Jerry suggestion is being used on Deconstruction; Coyote could've worked but I think the Ed pic is funnier strictly because of the circumstances.
That said, the only pic that really demonstrated the trope was the B/W pic of Ed walking off with the bleeding scalp injury. A better example would've been Keitaro shrugging off some of the injuries he took in the Love Hina manga, but that's been pulled off scanlation sites for a loooong time now and GIS didn't turn up any scans.

Nominations for replacement images:
The12th Doctor has added an image to Amusing Injuries, blatantly ignoring the commented-out text mentioning that the previous image was removed and a thread need to be started to suggest a new one. I've sent the standard message.
The new picture is very so-so too; you can barely tell what's going on.
