I got the same impression. And I also still find it funny that the account thought the fact that they were diverse warranted mention more than the fact that they have superpowers and a dinosaur.
"Hmm, we only have room for one fact about Nico. She's Asian-American...and she has an enchanted staff that she can produce from her body by shedding blood. Let's go with the first one, that seems more important."
Anyway, I'll stop taking the piss out of that now. I kind of hope they don't go the faux-sequel route, because that would feel like a very strange approach. It could work in theory, but I'd prefer a more straightforward adaptation. The "reunite" thing certainly seems to imply that they'll be going off the rails from the comics one way or another, though, since I certainly don't recall any story arcs to that effect.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."I suppose 'reunite' could just be the poster reading too much into the fact that they only got together initially because their parents have that big once-a-year meeting. That's a reunion of a sort, though again, having read the comics you'd tend to think of that as their parents' annual quote-unquote 'reunion', not the kids' themselves.
Don't feed the troll.
OK, so just in case anyone can't see the article for whatever reason (it happens), we've got Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru (glad they didn't racelift her), Virginia Gardener as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barber as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hayes (racelifted to be Molly Hernandez, nice touch).
I have no idea who any of these people are, but apparently one was on Teen Wolf, one was on a Nickelodeon sitcom, and one was on New Girl.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I like the cast, but from the looks of it Gert is going to be a spectacular Hollywood Homely.
It's difficult to tell from her cast photos, but her actress is a fair bit slimmer than I was expecting. She's not slim of course, but, hmm.
She's ironically the only one I recognize. She's on the reboot of One Day At A Time (which is a great show, btw) as the daughter's best friend.
Nice picks. Yeah, I can definitely see it. Especially Molly/Allegra Acosta and her hats.
Oh wow this is actually a thing. I just thought it was gonna languish in development hell forever.
I really wanna see the cast in costume now.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I wonder if they're going to stretch out the first plot line a bit. The comic struggled with the transition from a miniseries to an ongoing, because all the antagonists were dead. Most of the following plot line is spent trying to redirect members of the Pride.
If the first season ends with the same big confrontation at the end of Volume one, I imagine that there will actually be explicit survivors this time.
Ryan Sands and Angel Walker are playing the Wilders, Brittany Ishibashi and James Yaegashi are the Minorus, Kevin Weisman and Brigid Brannagh are the Yorkes, Kip Pardue and Annie Wersching are the Deans, and James Marsters and Eve Carradine are the Steins.

More Buffy alumni? Interesting.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Woah, was not expecting the likes of James Masters.
Ooh. Those are some good castings. Kind of wonder from the description of the Minous and the Yorkes if they are altering their powers/focus. Particularly with the former- no hint of magic powers.
Also, yeah they didn't mention magic or time travel, but they also didn't mention aliens or organized crime for the Deans and Wilders. And what about the Hernandezes/Hayeses?

Runaways set photos.[1]
Holy shit, that looked almost exactly like the comic. Complete with Molly's hat and Karolina's kaleidoscope skin.
I'm into it.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."Looking forward to one episode where The Punisher shows up just so he can get beat on because the writer has an ax to grind.
Though really, if anything, the opposite is far more common.
Looking at you, Garth Ennis.
Straight at you.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."They are not bringing in Jon Bernthal in for that.
This has been a pretty good day.
Would be up for it if they did. And vice-versa, really. Not necessarily as written on the comics page.
It doesn't seem like this account actually knows that much about Runaways based on their need to specify diverse (which any fan of the series would assume by default), but it's kinda sounding like they might age everyone up a year or two. I base that solely on the word 'reunite', which implies that this might take place as a kind of faux sequel series. But that's pure speculation on my part. Take it with a big grain of salt.
