Yey; ty kindly.

The truth can oft be more misleading... I'm driven by greed, guilt, rage, and despair, but I'll never try to justify haughtiness.

BTW: character is "Heda", not "Hedak".

The "ke" in the middle is Adumari naming convention, and it seems to function as "de" in Spanish/French or "von" in German. "Heda" is a reasonably-common Central European feminine name; since she's from Space Poland-Lithuania I may as well give her a name to fit.

Effective immediately, I am calling her "Heda ke Gaila, THE SPEAR OF JUSTICE!"

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.

Remember, in Star Wars, accents are not because of where you grew up. But rather because of your genetic line.

Is that seriously how it works?

...Well, Prima's British, everybody!

I'm not exactly sure how it works, but it seems to be the only explanation that makes sense.

How else would Rey grow up on a Alien planet by herself, and still speak Basic with a accent like that?

Apparently, she learned alien languages from a computer display in an old Y-wing, and it also let her study schematics for various ships and run flight sims. It could be that that's the accent the computer had, or something.

Also, they really should have included the whole "flight sims" thing in the movie. One line, that's all it would have taken.

Ehh, I'll run with planetary/regional accents as the most straightforward explanation.

re: "spear of justice": am I to imagine her as some variant on Undine, then?

Because this was more in my mind, really. Or, to be more accurate, Corb Lund.

I was kinda hoping you wouldn't know where the title SPEAR OF JUSTICE! came from, to be honest.

It was one part that, one part Ciaphas Cain HERO OF THE IMPERIUM! reference.

I made the mistake of reading this, haven't entirely been the same since.

I love Ciaphas Cain. I should also really start up a discussion thread.

Name: Rex the Wrecker (Real name: Rex Hartigann)

Age: 42

Species: Human

Appearance:He's very tall, around 6'5, and has a heavy, muscular build necessary for his line of work. His blonde hair is in a crew cut, and he keeps himself clean-shaven. Wears flame-resistant combat armor, with 2 ammo belts looping around his torso in an "X" shape.

Skills: Heavy Weapons Expertise

He's extremely skilled with all matter of these, from the Z-6 Gatling to the humble C22 flame carbine.

Handyman

Routine weapon maintenance is key, or else the only asshole your weapons will kill is you.

Rudimentary Medicine

He's no doctor, but he can still patch you up if you need a quick fix.

Tank

He won't go down easily.

Tools: Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon

His pride and joy, his bread and butter, his best asset. He calls her "Gwen".

DH-17 Blaster Pistol

His trusty sidearm. Always on automatic fire mode.

PLX-4 Rocket Launcher

Armored vehicles? No sweat!

Model C22 Flame Carbine

Good for close-range combat, burning buildings, and lighting Cigarras

Bio: Rex Hardigann isn't particularly well-known in the world of mercenaries, but those that know him only know him as "Rex the Wrecker", a brutal yet effective enforcer for the highest bidder. Despite his reputation, he's got what he calls a "Gunner's Honor", a code of conduct which he will never break. He won't attack innocents, he won't attack medical personnel, and he won't break a promise (unless something clouded his judgement at the time), among other things.

Personality: He's got a bit of a temper, but overall, he's a pretty friendly guy. He's got plenty of strength and charisma to spare. He's quick to laugh and quick to lend a hand, but he tends to scare people away on account of being big, loud, and dangerous

Flaws: Moves slowly, changes weapons slowly, almost all weapons have a lengthy reload time, quick to anger.
