As a reminder, AU is a game that centers around the plots being run. Essentially every player is participating in the current plot Imca is running, which involves the participating characters travelling to a very distant world - a world Dustin did not travel to, which means he can't hear the people there talking about artifacts, because he chose to keep playing Paladins instead of follow everyone.

I threw Elana at you as a one-time get out of jail free card to give you a hook to join the plot proper (and also because I intended to bring her along and kinda just forgot to do so). In the future, however, don't expect this to happen. I don't want to come off as a dick about this, and I apologize if I do, but there is absolutely no room for maybes, hypotheticals, or compromises here because of the nature of this; if you want to participate in a plot, you have to have your character go to the plot. End of.

If you don't join a plot immediately, remember what Oliver did about leaving a note behind to "follow the breadcrumbs"; we always to try to make sure there is an in-character reason for late joiners to be able to show up, and it's always an option to have your character show up later if you miss the start of the plot. Similarly, if you are playing multiple characters, it's okay to only focus on one/a few or leave others behind. And if you still don't know how to join a plot, it's never wrong to ask the GM: they will work with you to let your character in if you ask.

The key thing, however, is that your character cannot be on Terminus, the hub world, and also listening into and trying to participate in a plot taking place entirely on another world, without having decided to move to that other world to participate, you know?

Okay guys, I apologize for continualy asking if you want me to continue.... but then not continuing even though the answer is "Yes"

I have had some time to think, and to be honest... I really.... REALLY hate to say this, but despite the fact that you guys want me to.... the reality is just that I cant.

And so I am going to just.... say it now, quit dancing around the issue.... and just be honest.

I cant run this any more, and am going to instead focus entirely on the rework so that I can get that working the best I can when it comes time for it....

You gave it a good shot, and that's what matters. It's a damn shame that you can't run it, but if you're too busy to be able to manage doing this then I suppose it's better to know when to cut and run rather than leave everyone out in the cold.

Don't beat yourself up too much, okay?

If stopping the game to focus on the reboot is more important, than that's how it is.

Just a few questions, though

1) Is the game going on hiatus until the reboot, or are we just not going to be doing a plot until you officially do the reboot?

2) Is the reboot an open discussion with us giving feedback/ideas, or is it a closed room dealio?

3) Are you going to keep us updated on reboot progress, or only when you're ready to begin?

1) I am not going to tell you guys you cant post, just that personaly I will not be around to run things any more... I so like have a plan to branch off from where we are now into the rework, but if you guys want to return to terminus while you wait, I would appreciate if you (specifically rai) poked me in private so that I could make one request before you leave.

2) It is indeed open to discussion, there is no point in making a game that isn't going to entertain the players.... which ties into

3) Yes, I will be keeping you guys posted, though to be honest the main thing holding up progress is how busy RL is, but any new things I will be sure to keep in contact abouth.

I think for point 1, at least for me, whether or not we go back to Terminus largely depends on whether or not it'll be a better environment for players to cause chaos in or not until the reboot occurs.

Probably should put the matter to a vote. The kinds of things I want to do with my characters aren't setting specific, but I think it might be easier to place them in a neutral setting like Terminus until we're all set to go. Maybe give us time to write up proper endings for the characters who we know we aren't taking into the next phase of the game, or just practice making their characterizations closer to what we intend.
