Berry, some clarification is needed on the canon since there is a man portable AT ban in place (so that we can still have boss fights without resorting to DBZ ridicoulesness), but as long as it is like frag where you have a large aoe but no penetration, your okay.... I think?

She is crossing a bit into the multi role of being both a rigger and a soilder, but ummm "intuition" isnt a full fledged mechanic I dont think.

I'm not entirely certain what you mean about the canon. Its a canon. It fires explosive shells and if she needs to she can bash someone over the head with it. I mean its mostly there because of the art. I can remove it if that's too much.

And maybe I worded that wrong because her intuition and her mechanic skills are seperate things.

Like if she got into a car, controlling said car comes naturally to her. Its a "If I do this, then this will happen kinda thing"

Her mechanic skills comes from the fact that, if you spend a lot time around machines and rely on them you have to learn to take care of them or you're shit out of luck. But again she doesn't have to necessarily have that. I just thought it would make sense.

Okay, well the canon thing to simplify, explosive weapons come in two types, there are those that are designed to cut through any amount of armour, and will absolutely fuck up the day of something like a tank or a ship, however they tend not to be very big explosions since it is all focused.

The other type is a frag round, which has a really big boom, and lots of overpressure and shrapnel, and ruins the days of lots of squishy things, like a group of soilders, or something with no armour, but tanks and ships will just kind of shrug at them and laugh.

This diversity is not even related to the size of the explosion or any thing, since tanks will literaly laugh at nuclear bombs and keep going IRL but an AT missile still fucks them up.... Sorry if this is more detail then you wanted but I am not good with TL:D Ring this shit....

The Later type is okay, the former type is not, thats all I want clarification on.

As for the mechanic bits, she can have it, thats fine, I am just trying to work out how good she is with it, since we have a couple charecters who have no personal fighting skills what so ever but are good mechanics and I dont want to invalidate them.

What Sunny is saying is that there's usually two types of shells for cannons; penetrators that sieve through armor, and pure explosives that just blow things up.

Penetrators are not allowed; pure explosives are. This is because, contrary to what you may expect, penetrators are extremely good at destroying things with a lot of armor, because they just chew right through the armor to hit the vulnerable bits; whereas a pure explosive weapon's blastwave/shrapnel just ricochets off of it.

And her mechanic skills I wanted her to be pretty good at it but I'll dial it back some to say she could maybe get a breaking down car to an actual mechanic.

Essentially what she could do is a band-aid. Which could be explained as well.

Oh i kinda like that idea immie. If a dm is getting overworked or needs a break from their plot. Tag someone else in and just say their plots set after the current plot. then when the original dm is better they can continue with no interruptions
