• Hmm.. personally, a face-to-face greeting is way more preferable since it denotes sincerity and would mean a lot to the family involved. However, if you really cannot make it, the giving a call/message via friend or email wouldn't hurt, as long as you state the reason why you cannot go. They'll understand, I'm sure of it. The thought is what counts.

So, is this the part where I introduce myself and stuff? Because if I'm going to be honest, I'm not very good at socializing on forums, which is rather ironic because I don't have much trouble socializing in real life. Well, nonetheless, I have been meaning to get myself out there more on the internet, so I might as well take the leap.

I'm Caliburn, but you can just call me Cali. I'm usually very touchy about putting my personal information on the internet (hell, I don't even mention time on my end unless I'm being really vague because I don't want to give away my time zone), but I suppose it won't hurt if I'm upfront about my age (I mean, it's not like I'm making any other details public). I'm 16, I've had this account for a year (though I've been using this site for years), and I usually spend my free time playing video games, writing, thinking about video games and writing, watching YouTube videos, and occasionally watching anime. And before anyone asks in regards to the video games and writing thing, yes, I do write fanfiction, and no, I'm not actually a girl. I've only posted one fanfic of mine online (A Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fic), and I can supply a link if anyone's interested, but I haven't updated it in two months, due to a combination of planning for the fic, general laziness, and real life stuff. I swear the next chapter's almost done though, I'm just dead-set on making sure every word's perfect and at this point I really wanna have it done, but I'm kinda tired of being stuck on this chapter.

So then, that's all I've got for now. Don't really have a good idea of how to end this, so I'll just say that I hope we get along well. Also goddamn, I used a lot of parentheses.

Funny story about my username, actually. My go-to username used to be Zero Excalibur, but I decided to change it to something less... Edgy, I guess? I switched up the order and chose two words related to the original words (Absolute coming from absolute zero, Caliburn because... Excaliburn), and voila! Not actually a reference to Homestuck, which I'm not familiar with outside of hearing a friend of mine ramble about it (although I think the name of the character you're thinking of is spelled Caliborn).

That aside, nice to meet you, Victin! I've definitely noticed that this is a pretty slow place, but I don't mind too terribly.
