Incense also seems to vary wildly on what it gives you. Some people have reported it working better when "in the middle of nowhere" spawn-wise. Lures just pull from what normally spawns in the area, I think. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some randomness to it as well.
Also, they have buffed the spawn rates so there's more variety, it seems, but every time they do this it seems to either make a huge difference or only a slight difference depending on your area.

There's some research going into lure spawns. There's a possibility that it's tied to the biomes near your position as you activate the lure, rather than where the stop itself is. I've also seen Incence spawn water stuff when walking past a lake, so there's that too.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Buddy System update is rolling out, some Android users already have it. iOS update is still being processed.
I caught a 35 Venusaur the other day, not even gonna transfer it . At least I won't need to save up a *hundred* candies to get the whole bulbasaur line now (especially with how ridiculously hard to catch wild starters are for a mon of their cp). But yeah, evolved forms need to give more candy, otherwise there's absolutely no reward to catching an evolved form that's already in your 'dex.

I've been thinking that too. Second stages should give 6 and third stages should give 10. It would give you a reason to waste balls catching them.
I feel like 6 and 10 are a bit much for that. I'd probably go with 3 and 6.
Why should the second stage give the same amount as the first? Second stage Pokémon are rare outside of common junk. Third stages are virtually unheard of from what I've seen.
I'm not sure what you mean? I'm just saying that base form Pokemon should keep the 1 candy, and then their first evo gives 3 when caught, then 6 if the final is caught. And if there's only one evolution, then stick with 3.
Also, final evos aren't impossible to find, however most often it's usually the final evo of common Pokemon.
Base forms give three not one.
When caught, the 1 is when they're transferred.
Oh. I'm not really sure how I forgot that.
Anyways, there's an easter egg with the buddy system. Pikachu won't get on your shoulders until you've walked 10km with it in reference to the first episode of the anime.
So from my understanding, only Android users have it right now, right? When should iOS users get it?
"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Tomorrow probably, since Apple takes about 48 hours to process updates.
It's not out on my country in android yet. Guess it is gonna take a bit. It's still saying appraisal is the next best thing.
EDIT: I installed the APK and I've set my buddy. Nice!
Also like Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, this app is now dead on emulators.
(How did I know, you ask? Because I tried it. And it is glorious!)
EDIT 2: Oh wait, Nox has a new patch just in time. Lemme test it first.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! On the one hand, the userbase has dropped off 79% percent.
On the other, it's still the number 1 App store earner, so I guess that doesn't matter much.
Looks like the new update doesn't work on jailbroken/rooted phones. Though, technically it's only rooted phones since jailbroken phones already have a fix to allow the game to load.
Eh, I think the discussion of how much the user base has dropped off is a bit much. Most video games have a major dropoff in play after a month or two; the users that keep up, the "long tail," is frequently only a small percentage of the initial install base.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. They've gone from making all the money to more money than anyone else. Poor Niantic. How will they survive?
Wait, so you only get one candy for each distance milestone with the buddy system? That sucks. Guess I should pick something besides my Dragonair, because one candy per 5km is ridiculous.
I like the buddy system but it's still kind of worthless. I'm walking a Magikarp right now which takes 400 fucking candies to evolve. Even if I walked 4km a day every day that's still over three months. I think they should let you walk six Pokemon at a time. Then you won't have to play for years to have any chance at getting all of them.
, : See this article that points out that massive drop-offs in a game's playerbase is perfectly normal.
And I can't speak for you but walking doesn't FUCKING work for me. Somehow my 2km walk to work counts as, at best, .2km.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The Buddy System should definitely be buffed a bit
like a candy per KM or something
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeSomething like that would be nice.
You can get more candies than 1 per km reached, but it's random.
Personally, I feel like 3km is a good number for this, 5 seems a bit high. Most of the 1km Pokemon are stuff that you wouldn't need the buddy system for(except Magikarp). 1 candy per km would be too generous for certain Pokemon.
It's also important to remember that the buddy system isn't supposed to replace actually catching/hatching the Pokemon. Just supplement it.
The game tracks distance differently than how you think. It's not step based, it's not based on any sort of pedometer. It goes off of when your game pings back the servers, from there it measures in a straight line to where you last pinged and adds that distance. It's why running in circles around a track is terrible for hatching eggs.

Incense works better if you keep walking.
