Guard Job

"Yeah, pretty much. Our job is guarding against stuff and I can sense people who have bad intents even better when I have a blindfold on so I can instantly holler about where they are before rushing there." Waving a hand airily towards Ragna's direction, the martial artist put her hands on her hips and jutted her chest out proudly. "That and I need training. All the training." This was said more quietly as she gripped the shaft of her Gekkaja, still a bit ticked at the events that had transpired prior.

Max and Maria, With Caravaneer

Suddenly Lapis was a video projector. Max couldn't help but wince when he saw the "video" from the resort, carefully edited so it didn't show what wasn't necessary, like the sheer amount of civilian casualties they could not stop. At least Miss Santa there was willing to cooperate, so that was one less hurdle.

Maria, for her part, watched the footage with no small amount of interest. Always nice to see what your unlikely companions were capable of. "Well, isn't that a neat presentation. As for the money, I believe the gentleman there holds some."

"Hm? Oh right." Gabe was helping, so there was that. "Really, I don't think we'll be having much need of a bounty, so it's all yours. I imagine there's plenty of zennys for that man's head."

"And you, lassie, are looking plenty skilled right there." The old crone meanwhile chuckled at Jack-O's admiration of herself, content to watch these people kick all kinds of butt against the strange creatures in the video.

Griffith, >.>

It felt like his role in the negotiations was suddenly reduced or altogether removed from the equation.

...roll with it. "Very well. We will see you later then." Giving Elesis a grateful nod, the pristine-faced angel turned on his heel and left, happy to be rid of the braggarts. Useful idiots they might have been, there was such thing as too much idiocy.

Scott - Digsite

While Scott had been given a hammock, the Canadian refused to use it. One, who needed sleep anyway? Not him, he was fine! Those weren't yawns, he was just... stretching his mouth muscles. And second, it was still stupidly hot and so he stuck close to the cool girl. Or at least tried to. Following her into the shared room that was for the other girls, and wasn't that unfair, had gotten him yelled at.

Thankfully, where they were now was at least not painfully hot. Not thankfully, it turned out there was a good chance there wouldn't be any fighting. Scott huffed and kicked a rock, sticking his hands in his pockets and pouting. "I came here to fight stuff, not just stand around. This sucks."

Hippogriff Time

"Okay, Tucker! Let's... go!" Waiting for a single second after the space marine climbed up atop his steadily disgruntled mount who rather didn't enjoy the sensation of a solid and heavy chunk fumble about on its personage, the Phantasmal Beast spread its wings wide before shooting off into the sky like a rocket while completely disregarding multiple laws of physics before picking a direction and speeding off into it.

"I'll leave the sensing to you!" Astolfo chirped cheerfully as he enjoyed the g force involved with traveling at around a hundred miles per hour, hair whipping out like a comet tail from the wind pressure alone. Strangely despite how fast he was going, his words were enunciated rather clearly- probably due to his ridiculous Servant abilities. Two thousand feet off the ground, Tucker would be able to see a sea of sand with a literal bird's eye view and his scanners would be able to pick up on several Poogie shaped signatures in underneath one of countless sand dunes that seemed to be quite a bit taller than usual.

Noire- Arena

"Huh. Never thought I'd share a name with anyone."

Ah, information gathering. I suppose if she hadn't been kidnapped, for all intents and purposes, for less than 24 hours, she'd be nostalgic. Still, this was always the most annoying, but necessary part of the investigation.

"Right, let's do it." she said to Lucina

Magilou & Jeanne- Hippogriff

"I call fowl. How can this catch chickens with no opposable thumbs?"

With that joke in the air, Magilou climbed up onto the Hippogriff.

"Alright, let's get this done." Jeanne climbed onto it as well, and they were off. Thankfully, Jeanne's rode dragons before, so this translated somewhat into being able staying on the beast, even as it defied all common sense. Wouldn't be the first time a group of inter-dimensional/time travelers did so for her.

"Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 80% sure this is not how birds fly! At all!" Magilou at least tried to say, holding on for dear life. How she wished she was inside somebody's head right about now...

Elesis (Gathering Hall) - Master Negotiator Elesis Strikes Again

Success! They had managed to procure a vessel from the two boisterous men. It was not an airship, but a sandship would prove more useful than no ship at all. With an airship or two added to that, they were guaranteed to catch Bullfango Bill.

Unfortunately, it seemed Griffith could no longer stand the two knights, and was quite eager to leave them in her care. She didn't really mind, but she wasn't exactly sure of where to go from there. On one hand, letting everyone know they had acquired a sandship was important; but on the other, she kind of wanted to check out the ship itself before telling the others that the vehicle issue was covered. But would they still be there when she returned?

...nah, Griffith would probably take care of that.

"Right, before we go meet the others, mind if I take a quick look at the ship?" she asked both knights with a shrug. "You know, check her weapons, her armor, make sure we can all fit inside, stuff like that."

Carmilla & Sypha, Confrontation With The Thief?

Carmilla and Sypha followed Lady inside, letting her lead the confrontation. After the Fox Kid answered, the two vampiresses looked over at the armored figure with the large sword.

"And what about you?!" Sypha asked the thief, holding her staff to aim it at the woman.

"Yes, aren't you a bit too tall for a place like this?" Carmilla followed up Sypha's question, as she readied herself to use dark magic on her.

Tali'Zorah - Dig Site - Better Part of Valor

Tali hesitated a moment, then shook her head.

"Never mind about the defenses. Now that I think about it, people could get hurt by accident

even if I told everyone about them and it'd probably just be a waste of omnigel. I'd suggest just finding a side of the dig site to watch over that someone else isn't already keeping an eye on, then. I'll stay with the ship and coordinate."

She intended to set to work minifacturing four spy drones, three to provide aerial survilliance and one to provide ground-level scanning. And while they kept an eye on things, she could work a bit more on the ship, maybe see what might be done to make the weapons something a little more advanced. Then again, they had to be better than they looked to stand off creatures that ran around on this planet.

Foxtrot 813- Inside The Farm- Replica Interrogation is not recommended.

While waiting for Lady's response, he noticed that everbody's reaction to the person with a huge sword was not...positive at all. He seems to be a hostile of high interest and as such, must be processed to interrogation.

Foxtrot immediately pulled his SHO-3 shotgun and aimed to the thief. "Submit yourself to interrogation or face death." Foxtrot's yellow visor stared down at the thief, never moving away his shotgun away from the thief.

The Point Man- Outside the Farm

The Point Man slowly started to wake up with some groaning from him, being smacked to a wall seems to have slightly hurted him, but it was nothing serious right now...wait, he seems to be on some kind of farm now. Last time he rememebered, he was at the rooftops of the Fairport hospital trying to reach the Extraction Point. Where is he right now?

He grabbed his radio and used it. "Commander Betters, do you copy?" The Point Man got no response. "I repeat. Commander Betters, do you read me?"

Dead silence.

The Point Man stored away his radio, either he is dead...or this is some kind of psychic hallucination. He walked slowly to the Farm, his dual pistols ready in each hand in case he had to deal with hostiles in there. He needs to find answers where he is right now

Farmhouse

The swordswoman continued to march ahead, shouting as she slashed her sword at the retreating Fox Kid and ignoring any orders to stop or freeze. The roof was starting to collapse in on the tiny house, the already-low ceiling slanting down behind the woman as she charged. She kept up her momentum, though, dragging her sword along the ground and grinding up the wooden floor as she did so.

When she reached the doorway the woman pulled on her sword, bringing it upwards in a mighty swing. Despite her sword's size, she was still out of range to hit the Alternates with her sword during slash. The heavy shockwave that accompanied her slash, meanwhile, had no such limitation. The air rumbled and hissed as the brutal concussive force made its way towards the assembled Alternates.

Bazaar - Street Cook

"Nyao that you mention it," the Street Cook said to Susan as he held his little cat-paw up to his whiskers, deep in thought. "I did take a little bit of a tumble at the Arena. I landed on my bottom at the foot of the stairs near the pit. It was on the... west, side, I think."

He paused in thought.

"I can't really think of anything else out of the ordinary... oh, snap! When I was down at the docks, there were a few kids who accidentally hit me with a ball when they were playing around. Pow! Right in the whiskers! That happens every now and then though, and I've never lost my amewlet before because of that."

Bazaar - Caravaneer

Almost stuck in a trance as he watched the strange 'screen', the Caravaneer finally pulled his attention away from the visuals and let out a chuckle at the funds Archangel and Max showed him. Enthralled as he had been by the display, he at least managed to focus on the new matter at-hand. "That's a nice down payment for a proper sword, but it takes a lot more than that to keep this ship afloat...." He thought over the man's words.

"Now, the zenny ain't really much, but the bounty ought to at least keep me afloat. The prestige is a nice bonus, I reckon. But tell me, folks, what makes you so sure you know where he is to begin with? And why are you so sure you can give him what-for? A man, a blue lady, a dog, and their friends ain't exactly what I'd call a fighting force."

Everwood - Dig Site

After everyone had settled on their places the ship's crew started working away at their duties, trying to scrounge up whatever ancient valuables and trinkets they could find. Things were going smoothly, and not much interrupted them as they worked, eventually acquiring a decent amount of treasures that they loaded up near the ramp up to the ship. Looking at the ship itself, Tali could see that the giant steel spike in the front of the ship was designed to spin and impale things. It used mechanisms similar to ancient siege weapons to 'shoot' the spike forward, but rather than launching it like a projectile it would stop after only a few meters and be retracted.

A group of five black cats, dressed like tribal warriors and armed with sticks that had hay at the end - not unlike a broom - popped out of the ground, appearing suddenly on her spy drone's scanners and cautiously watched the group from behind a tree near the clearing the ship was in. Three of the cats went back into the ground, digging into it as easily as a diver entering water, no trace of their entry visible from the ground. Of the two remaining cats, one kept carefully looking out from behind the tree and trying to keep hidden, while the other cat kept a lookout for the one watching the ship.

Gathering Hall -> Docks

"Sure thing missy!" the Red Knight shouted happily at Elesis. And also Griffith, by extension.

"Yeah! Right this way!" the Black Knight added, starting to stomp towards the entrance of the Gathering Hall until a sharp glare from the Gong Lady caused him to pause. He fished out a wad of zenny from his pocket, walked over to the bar to set the money down, and then headed back to the front door. "Now let's go!"

At the docks, the brothers boarded a sand ship that looked just like the one the other Alternates had boarded earlier. It looked much like one would expect a ship to look like but with a strange recurved back. It also had a large gong in the back and a steel spike in the front. It had a belowdecks area with a few rooms for storing things and three small, but private, bedrooms for people to sleep in. Two of the bedrooms were rather similar in layout, with a large bed and wardrobe - one red and one black - while the third bedroom was relatively barren but had a small cot and several bedrolls.

"Well here she is!" the Black Knight exclaimed.

"A real beaut, wouldn't you say?" the Red Knight added.

Tessa - Arena

"G-good idea!" Tessa said, almost blanching as she watched the two fighters in the pit smashing the bejesus out of each other with their greatswords. Combat might have been a part of her life, but that didn't mean she enjoyed violence. People who sought out bloodsports for leisure were a little odd in her book, if you asked her. She didn't think Lucina was bloodthirsty, was she? So maybe she really was being literally about 'studying' how they fought.

"Where were you thinking of looking and asking around first?" she asked Lucina. "The place I'm from is more modern than this, but maybe it's more like where you're from so you'd have a better idea?" She gasped and put her hands up to her cheeks. "Omygosh, not that I think you're primitive or anything, I just mean that this place doesn't have any advanced technology and everyone has a sword so maybe it's a lot more like where you're from than where Noire and I come from. I mean not that there's anything wrong with being from the past!"

The Fox Kid, Shooting People
There was a few questions in The Fox's head as she looked to her side, and saw...nothing. Lady was there, but there was only farmland and desert out beyond her. Why was she looking to her side in the first place?

So, going to the part in the post title, The Fox decided that there was only going to be so much negotiation that could go on from this point forward, so she fired off a singular shot at the rampaging woman before getting blown back and over by her sword wind thing. It had been a really long time since she last had to deal with this kind of thing; sue her.

Susan, From Meat to Fighting
One accident, one "accident." Okay, no, Susan wasn't ready to ping some kids as hardened pickpockets, not until she saw them at least. You never know. Street criminal children were something she had met everywhere. But in any case, if either place was where he lost it, the chances of it still lying around were...eh...

"Okay, one last question and then I'll go and check those places. Do you think that it could've fallen into the ocean when you got knocked down at the docks?"

Santa-san, Time to Brag!
"I have killed many things in my time," Santa said, with a tone that you just knew was going to be followed up with by a list. "Kings and king-killers, aberrations made to lay waste to countries, generals who knew no true defeat in life. Also, a couple dragons. They're very hard to kill, in truth."

"But, ultimately, even if you do not think we're up to the task, I am sure that there are others. I could even bring aboard everyone on my own ride their, if they sat a little uncomfortably."

Jack-O', Bazaar with the Caravaneer

Maria received a cute little curtsy from Jack-O' in response to her compliment of her skills, while little Bat briefly appeared from out of Jack's ball and chain and gave his own little standing ovation.

The rest of the group was making good progress in convincing the Caravaneer, meanwhile. He was certainly on board for finding Bullfango, now the final step was to convince him of their own abilities.

Taking on her sultry tone of voice once more, Jack corrected her posture, standing straight before casually laying on a wall with arms crossed.

"You've seen the footage, mister. We can handle situations up to all-out war so far, and we know how to work as a team. To be honest, Bullfango is a little below our pay grade, I feel, but he's our objective nonetheless. As for where he is..."

She put a finger to her cheek, tapping it lightly, seemingly in thought, before her voice rose to her high, bubbly pitch.

"... we're top-notch investigators too!"

Ragna, Everwood Dig Site

From the right flank of the ship, a shrill tune played for the working crew.

Leaning on the nearest surface she could find, while trying to keep as much of her assigned area in her line of sight as possible, Ragna had plucked a leaf from nearby and folded it into a neat little whistling instrument. The Azure Grimoire's fingers held the folded leaf to her mouth as she played, while her eyes were as intense as ever, scanning all around for inevitable intruders. The song she was currently belting out was one Master Jubei had taught her on one of their off days. She learned a lot of things from the cat, essential and non-essential, and this particular skill, sadly, was only so effective at staving off boredom.

Tucker - Holy Shit He's Actually Right; Atop A Flying Hippogriff

I am detecting multiple Poogie-like signatures beneath the unusually tall sand dune. Delta called out, within the confines of Tucker's helmet.

Wait, multiple? There might actually be a whole kidnapping thing?

It may simply be a natural nest.

But Tucker didn't hear that. All he heard was his theory was right, and he'd managed to find the poogies in minutes.

And all in front of two hot blonde chicks. You might not be able to pick up chicks in a tank, but on the back of a hippogriff was looking pretty possible.

"Down there!" Tucker shouted out over the wind, pointing to the tall sand dune. "I'm detecting a lot of things that look like poogies under that sand dune!"

Lucina - Arena

Lucina blinked in surprise as Tessa launched into a rush of sheepish qualification, the taguel girl smiling a little awkwardly and holding up her hands in a soothing gesture.

"Peace, Tessa! I took no offense! It's true, this place is perhaps more like my home than yours... or at least, that's how it used to be." She paused to look back towards the entrance to the bazaar, her face reflecting the strange melding of excitement and sadness that welled up in her at that moment. "In truth, I haven't seen such a center of civilization since I was a child, and before joining this band, I thought I would never have the chance to see another."

Shaking her head to clear the cobwebs of those memories from her mind, she turned back to Tessa and Noire, focused once again. There was a mission to complete. "I suppose the local watch might know about Bullfango Bill, but they would probably be unlikely to tell travelers such as us anything. Maybe we should try an inn, or an alehouse?"

Archangel - Quest Board: The Caravaneer

A fair point the Caravaneer made. Just like his old work back home, saying a group of ragtag but skilled, tough, smart, strong individuals can handle a major problem that no one else has been able to handle just ends up sounding empty, meaningless. No, they would have to show and explain why this team could take him down. "You saw the results right there," Gabe said, looking at Lapis and then back to their possible ride, "And if you think that was something out of this world, we got weapons, tools, and abilities that frankly I doubt anyone else the world over has. Tell me, have you ever seen anyone wear armor like me and Max here?" and then he would pull out his shotguns, "Seen weapons like this?"

And then he would look down for a moment, and then back at everyone, and then back at the man. "Seen a man do this?" and just like that he was man no more, instead he was now mostly dull white mist with the only remains of his humanoid form being his face, with eyes closed peaceful, two vaguely shotgun shapes of mist where his hands should be, and the bottoms of his coat, which fluttered behind him as he passed through the man and went behind him. He would then reform, back facing everyone as he then said, "And that's most likely not the oddest thing you will see from this group."

Lady (Farm)-Time for plan B

Lady was about to decide to abandon attempts to talk to the woman who clearly had no intent of stopping when suddenly, someone else showed up.

"Oh god. Yes, I remember you." Unfortunately. She thought to herself. "Just don't start shooting yet, we're trying-"

At about this time, the shockwave came, blasting Lady off of her feet. She hit the ground hard, aiming to land on her side rather then the hard rocket launcher on her back.

"Never mind, OPEN FIRE!"

Lady drew both of her SM Gs, aimed them at the attacker, and started firing.

Velvet (Dig Site)-Intimidation Check

With the conversation about the tech abandoned, Velvet returned to one of the things she did best, standing around with her arms crossed, brooding. In the middle of this, she caught sight of a cat that seemed to be watching the camp. She turned to look directly at him, summoning her demonic claw and casually scraping it against some of the ship's metal to get its attention before giving it a death glare. She flexed the claw, moving the fingers around in a rough approximation of crushing a small skull, such as a cats. Then she started walking toward the tree, the message clear.

Run, or die.

Poogie Hunts

"OKAY, HERE WE GO!" Digging his spurs lightly into the Phantasmal Beast's flanks, Astolfo angled his impossible existence's head towards the giant dune, the Hippogriff stretching its wings wide open to hover for a moment... before divebombing towards the giant dune with a raptorial screech. "Oh, you guys should totally hang on tight if you're not doing so." Chipper and blase towards the whole ideal despite the high velocity hurtling, the paladin rather looked eager.

Shortly before impact, the creature would flicker like static for a second before suddenly the group would find themselves in a place that looked a lot more foreign than prior. Gone was the sandy yellow and harsh sun, in its place was a darkened set of rocky formations from which only the barest hint of light could shine through enough to illuminate the ravine.

Tucker's interface would show that the Poogies in question were huddled together in one spot with various human shaped blots arrayed in a ring around them... along with something that was decidedly much bigger lurking close by. Enough exploring by the group would allow them to step into a ravine where their targets were based at the bottom around a campfire and the Poogies kept in a thick and sturdy cage.

The humans in question looked like rough and tumble men garbed in the wares of their world, mainly an eclectic mishmash of bone, (literal) scale, and hammered iron armor. There was a total of twelve men in the area, with their equipment mostly being giant swords and mallets along with two strange firearms of some sort resembling a fusion between an actual modern day rifle and a crossbow if the materials were made from dead animals rather than metal.

From the looks of it, the guys were enjoying their meal around a campfire and only half of them had weapons close by to draw. And there was also what appeared to be a giant bleached skull of some sort of giant dead dragon laying in the background. "Oh boy, we found our targets. Any of you got plans or should we just dash in and start the corny speeches about names of moons?~" The paladin was having fun if nothing else.

"Haha, this is the best plan we've thought of in a while! Steal everyone's Poogies and then turn them in for the quest rewards! This is an easy way to fill up the coffer, lads! And we get to keep a bit of it for ourselves!" The leader figure in question was gloating, the man looking like a blatant ripoff of a certain villain starring a quadruplet of mutated terrapins that lived in New York's sewers. Even more strange was the fact that said man seemed to be able to tear giant mouthfuls from a giant meaty bone despite wearing a full body helmet.

Carmilla & Sypha, Aggressive Negotiations

When the thief sent the shockwave towards them, Carmilla and Sypha split in opposite directions to avoid it.

"Looks like we have our answer," Carmilla snarked.

"Indeed," Sypha retorted. "You distract while I freeze?"

"Oh, yes," Carmilla replied.

Now that they had a plan, it was time for the vampiresses to implement it. Carmilla began firing dark magic at the thief while backing up. Meanwhile, Sypha began trying to find a safe window to the barn to fire out of... If she succeeded, Sypha would summon icicles and begin trying to attack the thief with it.

Foxtrot fell to the ground with a loud thud as the shockwave arrived, looking to Lady as he ordered him to open fire on the woman, he nodded.

"Copy that!"

He quickly got up on his feet, and aimed his shotgun at the target.

"Die, fucker!" He started firingly repeatedly at the target, not holding back on killing the target.

Meanwhile, The Point Man sprinted as he heard what appeared to be gunfire, as he arrived at the farm, he noticed as some people were attacking a hostile with that seemed to be a huge sword. He would prefer to find answers, but right now judging from the attacker, he was not a friendly at all and he needs to be taken down.

Aiming his dual pistols at the target, he started firing at the enemy, mainly at the head.

Noire- Arena

Noire sweat-dropped a little. She's dealt with her fair share of... eccentric people before, but nothing quite like Tessa. It was refreshing to say the least.

However, it seemed Lucina took the words right out of her mouth. Even if her comment about civilization led to... some dark implications. She wasn't going to press on it now, though.

"Right. Most people tend to be looser than law enforcement. We can probably find clues there." Noire responded to Lucina. She guessed that the places may change, but investigative work stays the same.

Jeanne Alter & Magilou- The Great Poogie Hunt

That can't be a comfortable blanket. Magilou said about the Poogies under the dune.

"How can I hang-" Magilou said, before getting a faceful of rock and/or water for an answer. Thankfully, she wasn't hurt too much.

Jeanne, at least, was able to stay on. Thank god for Dragon Riding Experience. Eventually, the group made it to a camp.

"... So, do any of you got a plan other than 'burn everything'? Last time I checked with Chadela, they don't tend to agree with my methods." She said

Magilou, meanwhile, was mystified by how someone can eat with that helmet, waiting for a cue.

Max & Maria (Still Sounds Like A Sitcom)

"And I didn't even get included on the list." Maria chuckled dryly when, despite all odds, the Caravaneer continued to remain skeptical of the idea that them could hunt down Bullfango Bill and his crew. "But I assure you, good sir, we're more than qualified for this hunt. I may not look like much, but I can be spry still." And just like that, she reached for her elegant blade still hidden in the sheath... except it wasn't in the sheath no more, drawn so fast and quickly that one would miss it with a single blink.

A strange weapon it was, too; an elegant twinblade with two pointy ends rather than an ordinary sabre. "Between our individual abilities, there is something to account for every possibility and every attack the Bullfango can throw our way." Then the blade was sheathed as smoothly as it was drawn and the old crone smiled knowingly.

Max, for his part, let others do the talking, content to present his imposingly large frame and, offhandedly, one of the positron blades growing out of his arm with a quiet hum of the static.

"Hello again, ladies, gentlemen." Finally some slightly more civilized company. The pristine-faced angel seemed oddly impatient and annoyed, compared to his usually dispassionate expression. "Lady Elesis and myself had managed to find us a sandship. The pilots are... easily excitable, but they can serve our cause well."

Tucker - Not Exactly Batman; Underground Poogie Ravine

"Well, I was gonna suggest we go in like Batman, sneak in and take them out one by one, but..." He looked over his current crop of teammates. "Guess that's not gonna work."

Tucker, if I may suggest an idea. came a voice only heard in Tucker's helmet.

Which one are you again?

Sigma. I represent creativity and ambition.

Oh, cool. Whatcha got?

It appears the people of this world are primitive enough that their technology is limited to the dawn of gunpowder weapons. I believe a display of your technological might, followed by disabling their ranged weapons could convince the remainder to surrender peacefully, or at least allow your teammates to make up ground.

A visual outline of the plan appeared in Tucker's HUD, detailing exactly what armour abilities to use and when.

Huh. That's pretty good. Thanks Sigma.

Tucker turned to his teammates, and nodded.

"Alright, here's a plan. I go invisible, sneak up behind the two guys with guns, and get rid of their guns. We try and scare them into surrendering first, okay? But if they don't, getting rid of the guns means you guys can clear the distance between here and them."

Caverns, Poogie Retrieval Squad

"Ooh, you have Presence Concealment? That'll make things easier on us if you can help with trying to take their guns. I kind of find it hard to control my strength sometimes so I might mess things up if I just burst out trying to crack their skulls." Left unsaid was 'messing things up' usually meant mangling things like a bear had passed through the surroundings with Monstrous Strength, the boy having collapsed many a beds and even one chandelier simply from playing around.

"Anyways, Servants are fast so once you get things done on your end, me and Avenger over there can go bumrush those pig stealers to back you up! And whatever it is you do, hat lady." Airily announcing this plan(?) with a confident grin, the boy in a dress materialized the ornate Greek shield in hand. "Ready.~"

Elesis (Docks) - Fire Safety

Elesis inspected the ship with evident interest. Everything from the materials it was made of to the quality of the knots was carefully scrutinized. The bedroom seemed like it would accomodate a good amount of people, although she wasn't sure it'd be enough to fit everyone inside. She did make sure not to touch anything yet, however. Overall, the ship was smaller and more flammable than what she was used to, but nothing she couldn't work with.

"She looks good!" the privateer exclaimed with an approving nod. "You've been taking good care of her, I can tell. Might get a bit cramped in this room, but I think it'll be manageable. Ah, how about her teeth?"

Tucker - Once More Into The Breach; Poogie Kidnapping Caverns

"Alright, wish me luck." Tucker said, as he faded from view. Up close, there was a noticeable shimmer which was only exacerbated as Tucker moved slowly towards the gang of poogie kidnappers, but from a distance and as Tucker moved through the shadows, he became harder and harder to see, and easier to pass off as common desert heat haze.

When Tucker reached the halfway point was when he initiated operation "scare".

In the middle of view, away from the shadows Tucker was actually making his way through, Tucker appeared as if by magic. In reality, this was his suit's hologram projectors coming to life, projecting a realistic likeness onto thin air.

"Hey, assholes!" The hologram said, thanks to Tucker's speakers being able to "throw" his voice. "We're here from out of town, and where we come from we don't take kindly to pet-snatching cockbites! So throw down your weapons, hand over the poogies, or you're gonna walk out of here missing a few limbs!"

To illustrate his point, the hologram pulled his sword from his hip and activated it, the plasma blade bursting from the hilt in a bright flash.

As this went down, the real Tucker continued making his way through the shadows, aiming to get behind to the two gang members with ranged weapons.
