Tessa

"Of course I can! Just get on!" Tessa floated closer and wrapped her right arm around Lady's waist, holding on tightly with a surprisingly firm grip for a woman her size. As soon as she connected, she took off into the air, putting in some distance between her and the ground.

"Okay let's go in for," she said, diving in like a jet on a bombing run towards their target. Her left arm free, she held it out ahead of them in order to provide some supporting fire by shooting out bursts of intermediate energy bullets at the hordes below.

Lillie ~ Lillie's Hotel Room

Lillie was finishing up her first journal entry right when the sudden darkening caught her attention. She looked up to see that the eclipse was now in full swing. She only looked for the briefest of moments, however. As it turned out, just because the moon was blocking the sun didn't necessarily mean the sun was dim enough to look at.

"Ooh," she said, her eyes widening in awe.

"Pew...." Fellow added, although it didn't sound very enthusastic. Quite to the contrary, the frown on its face and the tone of its voice indicated an intense worry, as its gaze was fixed on a sudden dark spot down on the beach. Upon hearing it, Lillie followed its gaze to the spot in question and mimicked her companion's expression.

"...What's that about? Is...is that normal for eclipses? I don't think it is...." Then Lillie glanced at Fellow. "...Well, whatever's happening down there...I guess it's good we're far away from it? I think we'll be fine, Fellow...." Then she looked back at the spot. "I hope the others are going to be all right, though...."

Lady (In the air)-Bombs away

Lady lifted her missile launcher, pointing it at the rough head of....whatever the hell this demon even was. She depressed the trigger halfway, and the rocket launcher started charging, begining to shake as the power built up. While she waited a few seconds, her eyebrow went up as Tessa started firing energy blasts.

"Ok, I have to ask, what the hell? Since when can you fire energy out of your arm or fly or.....I'm really confused right now and this is only going to distract me, you mind explaining what the hell happened to you?"

At this point, her rocket launcher reached full charge, shaking enough that she would probably have some difficulty holding it still were it not for her demonic powers. She depressed the trigger fully, launching the fully charged missile at the demon, where it would explode with extreme firepower if it connected.

Samus - vs Hellmouth Cephalopod

Logbook has been updated.

Her hunch had been correct; there was a creature on the other end of the tentacles. It was good that despite being on a foreign planet in a foreign universe in a foreign world, some things still held up to good old bounty hunter logic. As the creature leapt, Samus was quick to jump away, Screw Attacking out of the impact zone and jumping over the shock wave. So, now she knew what it was capable of. It was time to figure out a counter-attack.

Alright, what did she have? It had tentacles; the points were possibly sensitive, she'd seen that before. Or maybe it would be easier to blast them off at the roots...no, scratch that. It was regenerating those fast; most likely they were easily sacrificed. Attacking the underside while it was jumping was a possibility, but the window of opportunity too small. Think faster, faster! Head! Uhm, big mouth...lots of pointy teeth...shell! Most likely it was a natural defence of some kind, probably defending a weak part of its anatomy. If she could get close enough, she should be able to angle a Super Missile underneath the edge and blast it off...

Lady seemed to have a similar idea, so Samus decided to follow up. Positioning herself so that she had a direct line of fire, she charged up a Charge Combo and delivered the supercharged missile towards the enemy creature's head.

Reimu - Dead Rising and Falling

Reimu took the opportunity while the Turok-han were pulling back to reload her revolvers. It seemed her opponents were gonna start fighting smarter, well, that meant she had to do the same. Running headfirst into a group of vampires that was actually expecting her wouldn't cut it.

"We need to...damn it."

After jumping out of the way of a thrown Turok-han, Reimu tried to adress the other group members around her.

"They're trying to split us up and flank us. We need to group up and focus down one group at a time, or we'll get overwhelmed! Does anyone have a grenade or something to lead with?"

Susan, TRIGGERED
Okay, by now Susan was getting too into it to notice that she was shouting.

"Insolence, insolence, INSOLENCE! You tread upon holy ground, so burn your feet and fall to your knees!" she calmly said to the Turok-han she had on her pointer finger, digging in and then pulling up to bisect him.

Ahhh, this was kind of refreshing. Several hundred years of playing it safe and being a peaceful kind of gal made her forget how nice it was to rightfully conquer your enemies in defense of your holy land. Almost made it easy to ignore how blisteringly, teeth-grindingly furious she was at them.

None was more infuriating than the giant squid that turned up to give them the business. Susan immediately reached the conclusion that it was huge, so it must have huge guts, but did it have very sturdy guts? That was something she was ready to test.

Taking her hand off of the recently minced vampire and then flying up away from the small fry's reaching hands, she tried to clog up the hellephalopod. Namely, by opening a hole and launching nothing but razor-sharp, filed to a point shards of bone right into its gullet. She also let lose a kind of continued scream, but that doesn't need to be transcribed aside from a brief shout of "TASTE FROM THE CORNUCOPIA OF MICTLAN, FOUL THING!"

The Fox Kid, Get Me One'a Those
Rare was the enemy that would rebound bullets like it was rain bouncing off of a coat. This just strengthened The Fox's—by god's wounds, what in tarnation was that

It wasn't some kind of demonic incursion that startled her, but the sight of a woman that was too strangely dressed to be anything but one of her traveling partners. She let loose with a volley of gunfire...and by god, it was a literal volley! At least 20 shots coming out of the same barrel, with no revolver mechanism, barely any smoke, and the barrel still seemed to be in one piece after all of that!

For a moment, The Fox could only wonder how wars still existed in this world. Such an advanced weapon, that SMG, should have ended them long ago for fear of mutual destruction.

Her ladyboner subsided, and she came back to the realization that there was still shit going down. She quickly reloaded, moving back away from the pit, and turned her attention to the part most likely to be solved with bullets...saving this Chinese kid.

Yes, Ranma, the girl who needed saving right now! As they closed in, The Fox started firing for effect, aimin' for the head and trying to clear a path for the troubled, rather normal-looking youth.

Agnes - Droppin' the Hammer

"We need not grenades," Agnes shouted, pulling her hammer back from the small crater it had dug. Swinging it around in her right hand before nearly tossing it forward, she took a running leap towards Reimu, using the hammer's momentum to gain altitude as the lightning built up in the metal's surface. At the apex of her jump, she threw the hammer down at a group of zombies, smashing into the ground in a flurry of debris and lightning.

Now without her hammer as she landed near the Incident Resolver, she held up her hands up as though she were about to join a boxing match. Giving the Toohoo a nod of the chin, she suddenly did a pelvic thrust, causing a large laser bullet to shoot out of her chestpiece and fly at one of the approaching demons.

Tessa - Flying Around

"Um..." Tessa said to Lady when she asked what the hell had happened to her. She waved her arm around to keep firing at the interfering tentacles that might get in the way of Lady's rocket attack. "You never asked? The M9's were too big of a target and exoskeletons lacked mobility so then one time my brother kidnapped my girlfriend - ex-girlfriend," she gave Lady a wink, though it might have been hard to see due to all the commotion. "...and nothing that we had could take on his Belial and then I thought, well, if we just reduced an Arm Slave to human size it wouldn't have to be an exo-skeleton but I sort of had to, you know, put myself into it. That it, you get all that?"

Las Divinas - Welcome to Reluctant Helpers Anonymous

All six members of Las Divinas were very much pleased to see Griffith come to rescue them. However... they were noticeably less pleased by the fact that he asked them to carry wounded people with them.

"Wait, you mean like, carry bloody people? Is that-"

"Alright."

Antonella's response managed to surprise all the other five members of the clique, who looked at her in utter shock.

"What?! Are we really going to... just carry random people?"

"We do what he says so he gets us out of here. I don't know you, but I'd rather have the people with weapons help me escape than stay here with those... things."

Despite their personal opinions, the group had to admit that their leader was right in that regard, so they started to work together, and were able to pick up three injured people and a scared child which, considering they were six ordinary minors, was quite an accomplishment. However, that did not mean that they stopped complaining.

"Ewww, I'm getting blood on my hands!"

"Girls, I think this kid peed himself."

"Wait, what about the cameras? We need to get the recordings of our show from there!"

"I-Is that a bone? It... it's a bone! It's a bone!"

"I think I'm gonna throw up..."

"Then turn your head away!"

And so on, and so forth.

Polly Pastries - And Now, For Someone Completely Different

Polly was making good progress in clearing a way out for the panicked people. The amount of creatures standing inbetween them and safety had reduced considerably, to the point where Polly could already see gaps in the formation. And that was where she proceeded to shoot her way through. However, she had not taken into account the fact that it could be a trap. So when one of the Turok-han suddenly leaped at her from the side, she was barely able to spot it in time to leap out of the way. However, a second one (or possibly a dead body, she was not quite able to tell) was already on its way to intercept her before she landed, so she had no other choice but to start flying in order to assess the situation.

The monstrous beings had started to work more closely together, and had been able to isolate her and the group she was escorting from the rest. In addition, she had already fired that musket like a hundred times without even pretending to reload (which she was not supposed to be able to do either way, considering she'd stated she had no gunpowder before), she had no apron, no baguette, and now she was flying.

"So much for staying in character..." she muttered with a disappointed sigh. "May as well go all the way and try to gain something from this... sorry, but my escort ends here." She shot a couple of Turok-Han that had gotten too close while she raised her free hand to the red sky above. "Elohim!"

The girl who was engulfed by the sudden dark energy burst was noticeably different from the one that hovered above the ground after it disippated. The purple bikini had been replaced by a full gothic-lolita outfit, complete with a red and black dress, a headband, and black boots; the hair was arranged differently, now falling to the sides rather than to the front, and her left eye was now a bright gold and resembled a Victorian clock. Her formerly free hand was now holding a flintlock pistol that had simply not been there before, and her musket... well, at least the musket was still the same.

"Very well..." the girl muttered, aiming both of her guns at the Turok-han. "Now, how about we-" her speech was abruptly interrupted when she was forced to dodge a flying corpse thrown by one of the proto-vampires below. "Suit yourselves."

The moment for talking was over. Kurumi Tokisaki proceeded to dive and shoot at the Turok-han, in order to try to pick a live one up by the feet and drag it up and away from the others for... safer consumption. The well being of the audience was instantly relegated in favor of the much more desirable acquisition of extra energy.

After all, heroes wielded baguettes, not firearms.

Elesis - Red Head Redemption

It was concerning. The more Elesis fought, the more she realized that her reckless assault was not going to be enough. Her recklessness had already rewarded her with a few injuries, but most of them had already healed thanks to even more recklessness. Fortunately, the demons seemed to be somewhat more hesitant to attack her head on, instead opting to spread out a bit more and...

Of course.

Demons were not stupid. Of course they would try to separate them and pick them off alone. The fact that she had almost failed to notice it was somewhat concerning... but not as much as the fact that she did not seem to care much either way. At least, not when it came to herself. She was more than confident that she would be able to decimate any of the abominations that managed to get close, just like she'd been doing before. But she was not sure the others could do the same.

So when Reimu, who happened to not be too far away, pointed out that there was a risk they could get overwhelmed and requested some form of lead, the Crimson Avenger immediately knew that there was a chance she may need a hand. So after a quick dash in that direction she leapt up into the air, while dark energy quickly gathered around her sword once again, although this time there was far more than before and it was much more compressed, to the point where it was almost overflowing. And the second she landed near the incident resolver and the equally recently arrived Agnes...

"Ejection Buster!"

She thrusted her blade forward, and a large stream of energy erupted from it towards a few Turok-han that were off to the side trying to flank them. Not exactly a grenade, but it was close enough.

Reimu - Grenades are unnecessary

...yeah, who needed explosives when you had magical explosions? The newcomer with the hammer started it off by making a powerful thunderbolt strike one group and Elesis followed up with an...Ejection Buster. Well, whatever it was she sent flying from her sword, it seemed to do the trick on the Turok-han.

"Awesome, nice job!"

Now that the ranks of the cavemen had been broken, they could go on a counter-offensive. Uninterrupted by flying corpses, Reimu took aim and started picking off Turok-han that had survived the initial impacts, not giving them a chance to regroup.

Max, Oh Come On

Oh. Of course Tucker didn't have his armor on. He forgot about that. "Tali, I'd appreciate a swift reply given the circumstances." He muttered into the comm before the cry about a Land-Kraken reached him. He was about to shout back a question before one of the civilians he carried started screaming, pointing at something behind them.

If she wasn't about his daughter's age, he would probably not bother looking. Doing so was both a curse and a blessing. A blessing, because he was now aware of the giant mutant thing crashcoursing with the ground and he could react accordingly. A curse, because he would not be fast enough. "Hang on, folks!"

It crashed and Max could see all the people who were less fortunate than himself and the civilians he carried get decimated by the impact. His rescuees managed to hang on, thank God. Cuts and bruises here and there, but they were way better off than the others. Max himself could only be thankful that this kind of impact wasn't enough to knock him down. He kicked an encroaching Turok-han in half and sprinted forward towards the opening Astolfo and Susan made for him to deposit the civilians outside of the battlezone.

Griffith, Small Talk In Face Of Impending Doom

Fortunately for his entourage, the giant creature's impact was far enough not to disturb them. That said, Griffith couldn't say he was enjoying himself much with such a gibbering nursery as his companions. He couldn't say he didn't understand both their apprehension and their fear; demonic invasion notwithstanding there was a reason why most military commanders would rather have 50 trained men than 100 conscripts. This went double for the non-combatants such as Las Divinas here.

It was just his own professional's sensibilties having a hard time. The incoming Turok-han lost its head with a flick of Griffith's wrist, his saber slicing neatly through bone and skin. "Apologies for the situation, m'ladies." He smiled at the posse, angelic and immaculate even in the middle of the carnage. "I don't suppose this is how you imagined the contest to end."

"If it's any consolation" He let the incoming vampire come in with a charge before he threw him over his shoulder and finished off with a stab to the throat. "I was quite impressed by your performance." It looked like the rest of the judges were doing just fine; two of them having cut out a way outside of the crowd of demons. He started earlier and picked his way carefully to go through as few Turok-han as possible and now it seemed like the idea was paying off. "Keep your eyes around you; we're close to the exit."

Lucina

Even though the taguel had taken Ranma's advice and retreated away from the hellmouth, the great monstrosity's impact send Lucina flying mid-bound. She dug her claws into the sand to arrest her tumbling roll, sliding to a halt with a pained grunt and getting back up to her feet.

"By the gods..." The girl's voice shook as she lifted her gaze to look up at the monstrous squid, instinctively crouching down, her fur bristling in anger and tightly-leashed fear. Its skin erupted with impacts and explosions - comrades with more firepower to bear than she were attacking the beast. The remains of the sorcerer's minions had cut her own group off from that battle, and so she tore her gaze away from the spectacle and focused on the fight before her. Reimu has the right of it - they are trying to outflank us.

Lucina hung back as the others broke the enemy's ranks, so as not to impede their lines of fire. Seeing Max and another man, a silver-haired swordsman, leading groups of survivors to safety, the taguel girl leapt into action.

"Max, I will take the rearguard!" She called out quickly as she bounded past and around him, tackling a turok-han that was charging from the flank and finishing it with flashing claws. She circled protectively around the group, trailing after them as they ran, intercepting any vampires who tried to pursue. A low, threatening growl rumbling from her throat. The others had made this opening for them, and she would make sure it didn't snap shut around the evacuation.

Blair, The Brawl

Blair watched the shockwave come her way, and flicked her hand upwards, that pumpkins in the air responding to her command, taking their precious passengers even further upwards. There were people clustered around her, and Blair yelled loudly. "Going up! Pun-pumpkin-pumpkin!" A large pumpkin grew out of the ground, taking Blair and the people around her up suddenly, causing Blair to grab and pull them back on the pumpkin, taking them out of the range of the shockwave. Once the pumpkin was safely floating in the air, Blair looked down, and told all the people on it to stay still.

Then she swan dived off, and moving in mid-air, so that when she landed, she impaled two Turok-han on her fuck-me heels, doing the splits to achieve the feat. Then she danced off, walking over the wannabe vampires heads, using her ridiculously high-heels to their full extent as improvised weapons. She jumped from head to head, moving like a cat. "This is fun!"

Scott, Actual Sword Fight

Scott's grin froze as his attack dissipated, revealing the gory sight it created and the angry skull glaring back at him. Fear spread through him, and he seemed to hang in the air. "G-ghost Rider?" The sickening sight and sound of the massive skeleton tearing out of what was left of Felipe's body made him turn pale and look queasy. "I guess not..."

The headbutt launched the Canadian downwards at high speed, and he slammed into the ground hard enough to crack it. Dazed, he laid against the ground as his head rang like a bell and his body ached. "I-is that all you've got?" He slurred from his prone position, staring up at the sky. The sudden appearance of an ugly snarling face above him gave him a minor heart attack, and he rolled to the side as a Turok-Han landed where he had been a moment ago; Snarling angrily. Scott staggered to his feet, his head already clearing thanks to the protection of his thick skull. He almost snarled back, eyes wild. "Alright then, enough playing around!"

The center of his bare chested began to glow with a dark aura, as his sword slid out far enough to grab and draw it from within himself.

SCOTT EQUIPPED THE POWER OF HEARTBREAK

He met the vampire's strike with the flaming blade, blocking it, then threw a heavy elbow strike at its head. It had less of an effect than he'd have liked, but it staggered it briefly. The Canadian brought the blade across its chest, opening a painful gash across it. A sharp pain burst across his back and he cried out, dodging to the side as another Turok-Han joined the fight after having snuck up behind him.

Scott's gaze jumped between the two vampires as his worry increased. He could feel blood dripping down his back from the stealth attack, and he growled. He charged, his blade held down and to his side. He ducked the first strike from the vampire that had cut him, drawing his burning blade across its gut and opening it up, before parrying a strike from the second one and kicking it in the gut to force it back. He spun, coming to face his injured opponent before driving The Power Of Heartbreak through its heart. He was surprised by how hard it was to do, but he wasn't about to let some stupid tv monster kill him. It disintegrated, leaving him free to spin decapitate the second one as it lunged at him.

Panting, he stood holding that stance for a moment, blade still raised in the decapitating strike and a wild grin on his face. "That was awesome! Did you guys see that?!" He glanced around, realizing the situation once again, and his excitement dropped. "Oh.. right."

Scott turned his attention towards looking for Felipe, quickly finding him floating above, now looking like some freaky monster and with a shield and some weird paddle-club thing. Oh, and he was fighting the bandage girl who made food in a bikini contest. Apparently she had some evil arm under the bandages. It wasn't important. What was important was kicking skeleton-Felipe's ass. He leapt into the air towards the monster, shouting loudly with his sword back and ready to strike.

Tali'Zorah - Just Like Home

Tali was seriously considering trying some amateur chemistry to minifacture dextro-compatible alcohol when the screaming started. Quite abruptly, her head snapped up and she brought up the view from all four spy drones. She felt strangely at ease, now that everything was descending into chaos and death. I don't have to look at myself and everyone else this way. There's a world that needs saving. One more planet. I can save just one more. Well aware that she could hardly reach the place in time to do any good, she nonetheless got to her feet and started walking, at first, so she could tap commands into her omnitool.

Max is right, so that should flood the local comms with calls about this mess. And the others will need some direction.

One of the spy drones maneuvered swiftly down to ground level, seeking out Tucker. The human soldier would hear her voice coming through its tiny speakers.

"Local aid is incoming, but it'll be too late! I'm linking the camera feed from the other drones to this one and patching in a loudspeaker function so you can talk to everyone and coordinate the fight. I also have a search program sifting local databases about anything that might help us win this, it'll show you anything useful it finds. I'm on my way!"

On the screen shown, Tucker would see people as colored outlines of blue for civilians, green for friendly, red for enemies, and black for the leviathan and its master. If he spoke to it, his own voice would blare out from the other drones at high enough volume to be heard over the din. Even as all of this happened, one of the other drones descended towards Samus, who would hear the same explanation. The last two remained high to provide overlapping fields of view.

After setting everything in motion, Tali closed her omnitool's window and picked up the pace to a sprint, one hand reaching around to pull out her shotgun, which unfolded as she ran, weaving and forcing her way past the crush of people fleeing the scene. I'll get there in time. I have to.

Agnes - Reimu Hakurei Special Defense Force

"For someone so puny, you can command men as well as a knight," Agnes commented to Reimu as they fought against the horde. While she spoke, she grabbed one of the Turok-hans that had gotten too close, hoisting it by the chest and throwing it away. Another of the Turok-hans jumped onto her back when she hadn't been able to see it, the creature using one hand to hold on and the other to punch at her shoulder. Holding her hands up at an awkward angle behind her back, she kept trying to grab the thing but it proved to be quite elusive. While she fought with it, the one that she had tossed away started to charge at her again.

"LASERDRAGON, TO ME!"

In a cascade of laser, fire, and dragon, her noble steed appeared at her side, conjured to protect its master. The gold-and-silver dragon reared up on its hind legs, it stabbed one of its metal wings at the charging Turok-han. In a fluid motion, it brought its head down and bit at the vampire, severing its head and a chunk of its torso, which it started to chew on as it turned to approach the next threat.

Regardless of the fact that her life and the lives of everyone within a mile's radius of the area were in danger, Lady hesitated a second as she was completely confused at the explanation she received. She felt like she was missing several key components of this story, what little she did get seemed to suggest that Tessa had altered herself somehow in response to some threat. Jack-O' and Ragna, Hellmouth Party

The sight of the massive abomination hoisting itself out of the depths gave Ragna pause, but Jack was having none of it. To her, this was barely as scary as your average Gear, and only just as big as the average Megadeth class. The beast propelled itself into the air, and Ranma warned of the impending danger. Jack didn't need to be warned twice, but instead of running, threw her leg behind her to wrap the chain of Lantern around as many civilians as she could, before tossing them out of the falling creature's radius.

Ragna couldn't afford that. She had begun running immediately, and noticing another beside her who was fast being drained of stamina, leaped forward in order to push him out of dodge. The two ended up surviving, having ducked down under the ensuing storm of sand and debris.

Jack-O' only barely managed to escape, after ensuring the safety of a small group of beachgoers, and was blown away by the shockwave, and spent a good few seconds being tossed around the sand by the resultant momentum and inertia.

Ragna urged the fellow she had just saved to book it, then drew her sword and faced the creature, but had other matters to attend to. Another group of Turok-han had surrounded her, cutting her off from the rest of the fight.

They charged, all from different angles, a fact that made the Reaper click her tongue. A sword swing was going to be a little slow, so she opted for fisticuffs for now. Dropping her sword and letting it dig itself into the sand, she lashed a fist out and nailed the Turok-han to her front in the jaw, knocking it aside before spinning around with leg outstretched. Intensely trained calf muscles slammed into the Turok-han's skull, but only glanced the third, allowing it to ram into Ragna's stationary leg, snapping it the wrong way. She hissed, but put herself back into the fight. As it pushed forward to try and seize her throat, Ragna pushed back, wrestling it for a bit. As its claws fingered the air in front of her, reaching feverishly for her face, the Azure Grimoire clenched into a fist and surrounded itself in a dark cloud. The fist dug itself into the Turok-han's gut, the dark energies surrounded it seizing the vampire.

The punch itself cracked a hole in the vampire's stomach, crushing important bits and bones. And at the same time, Ragna fell to a seated position, quickly placing her hands on her limp leg.

("One... two... three")

With a snap, she bent her leg back into shape, and with the pieces of soul she'd ripped out earlier, it was healed back into working order.

"Whew... what a day."

Noticing Ranma's empty stare, Ragna quickly rushed to the girl, her hastily healed leg still stinging like hell.

"Hey. You still with me? Snap out of it, kid!"

Jack-O' was lying in a heap nearby, miraculously without serious injury, soon to be in a similar situation as the Turok-han approached to cut her off from the rest of the fight. By the time she recovered; two Turok-han were already grabbing her by the legs, and two more had seized her arms. And at once they began to pull.

Gear Cell enhanced muscles and bone proved resilient, as a second or two passed without even a cracking sound. But any more, and she might've ended up as a mess in the sand.

"So... I'm guessing you guys didn't watch the contest. You do know what I can do, right?"

After making that little bit of casual, mid-danger small talk, she wrested her left foot free from the vampire's grasp through sheer leg strength, shooting upwards and smashing its chin. That was the foot with Lantern attached to it, and at once she rotated her leg around its hip joint, managing the stretchy feat easily. Lantern, in response, flew around, creating a veritable hurricane of bone-crushing steel that relieved her assailants of their heads. Once she was free and the vampires fell in heaps around her, she got back on her feet, only to find more Turok-han surrounding her.

"Hoo boy. Not letting me get to the real objective, are you? Guess I'll have to crush each and every one of you!"

All said with an audacious grin as she got to work.

Carmilla & Sypha, The Flames of the Witch

As the battle raged, it seemed like the two vampiresses were having no effect against the Turok-han. Carmilla looked frustrated while Sypha looked angry at the Turok-Han.

"DIE!" Sypha had enough and began summoning flames from her magic staff in an effort to set the Turok-Han on fire. "DIE!!!"

Soon enough, Carmilla noticed that the tentacled creature had freed itself from the Hellmouth, but also that everyone else seemed like it was trying to destroy it with their own fire devices and stuff.

"I think we should set that thing on fire, Sypha," Carmilla said as she grew out her batwings, grabbed Sypha, and flew over the creature. "Burn it all, Sypha."

"GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!" Sypha yelled out as she used her magic staff to try to set the tentacled beast on fire, now.

Tucker - Welcome To The Bloodbath, Jump Into The Tub; Beach Contest Gone Wrong

So, in quick succession, Tucker saw a giant squid-snail crawl from the pit, get tossed back into the stage by it's landing shockwave, and now that he was pulling himself up from that, a Turokhan corpse was flying through the air towards him.

Despite the pain in his back, Tucker could deal with that. He raised his sword and cut the flying body in half, letting both sides of the corpse drop onto the stage behind him.

And splattering him with quite a bit of blood, bile, and other fluids.

Tucker took a moment to wipe off his sunglasses and spit out what had gotten in his mouth, and by the time he was finished, Tali's drone had floated down in front of him.

"Really?! Is this really the right time to go appointing leaders?" Tucker shouted at the drone, distracting him long enough to allow a Turokhan to charge forward and gash Tucker's side with it's claws.

Damn thing earned a plasma sword in the brain for it's trouble, but a wound was a wound.

Tucker spotted his discarded rifle and bag on the ground ahead of him, and rushed forward to it. Two more Turokhan appeared from the crowd and grabbed him be the shoulders, ramming him backwards back into the side of the stage.

"Tucker, you have dislocated two ribs." Delta said, his green avatar projecting from Tucker's necklace.

"I could fucking guess!" came the reply through gritted teeth. Adrenaline was dulling the pain, but that didn't mean it didn't hurt.

The Turokhan on Tucker's right shoulder died first, bisected diagonally from hip to shoulder by Tucker's sword. The second took a moment to glance at Delta's holographic form, a distraction for which it took Tucker's sword to the face.

With his two attackers dropped, Tucker rushed forward. Delta started projecting the visual feeds from Tali's drone onto his sunglasses, giving him a view of the battlefield from above.

"Fuck it." He growled, before he shouted at the drone mid-sprint, his voice amplifying through the four drones. "Everyone, keep doing what you're doing. Anyone who can fly or shoot, try cutting through their lines, open a hole for the people to escape."

Tucker dropped to his knees in the sand, grabbing his rifle with his free, left hand. He had a target in mind, a big one, but he was right handed and about to shoot his gun with one hand, so he decided to explain his idea if he missed.

"Lady, Tessa, Susan, Samus, Sypha! Keep doing what you're doing! Anyone spare, hit the Squid-Snail thing! If he's feeding people to it, it's gotta be what he's making the sacrifice to! Kill that asshole and we kill the ritual!"

He stood up, and peering down the scope with the wrong eye, holding the grip in the wrong hand, and shouldering the rifle without a second hand to balance it, he really fucking hoped he was a good shot.

With that, he fired a single shot at the most vulnerable part of the Squid-Snail he could see: it's massive eye.

Toriel - Trailblazer

The queen had seen the abomination rose from the pit and began its assault on the land, giving her pause. Soon, the pause had ended as the Turok-hans had began to change tactics. She didn't even need to listen to Tucker as she put her hands in front of her and released a stream of flame from them, scorching anything that got too close. She spoke to the nearby civilians, "Follow me if you wish to survive!" She pressed towards a safe place where the civilians can hold out until the nightmare is slain, taking care to search for any enemy that may sneak up on her and incinerating them on the spot.

She was starting to wear, but she couldn't give in just yet. The thought of stopping this nightmare from tearing apart the world filled her with determination.

Kira - Sushi Anyone?

The horror from the pit had made its move as Kira avoided the tentacle crashing down on the earth by hitting the dirt and covering his face. When the sand settled, he thought of a plan, but he needed to retrieve Sheer Heart Attack first. The drone was knocked quite a considerable distance away from the detonation zone, but thankfully, its new location was not dense with vampires. He rushed over to the area and reached for the drone, battered and displaced, but not completely destroyed. Unfortunately, the vampires would likely take notice of the gold-haired man and give chase.

Kira, trying to keep his composure, had ran from the Turok-hans as quickly as he can to where the audience once was. He hoped to find a purse or a bag filled with objects from the bleachers, assuming they have not been thrown away by the squid.

Las Divinas - Talent Appreciation

Despite their complaints, Las Divinas did not seem to be doing that bad of a job carrying wounded people... considering.

"This was supposed to be our time to shine," Antonella complained. "We were expecting to throw a party, and maybe start a music career from here, not... this. Or losing that badly either to... them. I mean, we didn't even get fifth place!"

Nonetheless, most of them were momentarily stunned to hear that Griffith had actually liked their performance, to the point where the ones in the rear almost collided into the ones leading the pack, who had actually momentarily stopped moving. It took them a moment to resume their path, but by that time the others had already moved past, so the delay was minimal.

"Hah! See, girls? Told you it was good! Say... you know why the other judges didn't like our ?"

Elesis - Mad Enhancement

Elesis tried her best to refrain from charging in blindly once again and cover Reimu from the demons' attacks, but it was proving more and more difficult by the second. Something kept urging her to charge the Turok-han and    kill them all   , to the point where she could almost hear a voice in her head telling her to    leave no demon standing   . She was trying to remain at range by unleashing energy blasts from her sword as fast as she could. And it seemed to be working.

But then the Turok-han started to throw corpses at her as well.

Unforgivable. Behold this. This is the true nature of all demons.

Her first defensive swing both sliced the incoming arm in half and deflected it enough that she was safe. The voice in her head started to grow louder.

They kill. They devour. They hold no respect for the dead.

The second swing did the same with a leg.

They took your knights. They ruined you. They broke you.

The third one smashed a flying head into the floor, and her free hand blocked another leg.

Make them pay for what they did. Enact your retribution. Do not hold back.

She brought her free hand to her head. She was gritting her teeth so hard that they were starting to hurt. The voice in her head was so loud it was clouding her thoughts, and she was barely able to hear anything else. For a moment her head felt as if it was going to burst.

Forgive none. Spare none. Show no mercy. Take your revenge. Cleanse this place.

Suddenly, it stopped. For a moment, Elesis was able to refocus on the battlefield... just in time to spot a mangled human body the moment before it collided with her. The impact was more than enough to send her to the ground, with the body falling on top of her. The pain was not excessive, but she was now face to face with a horribly mutilated woman. She had no eyes, but the Crimson Avenger could still feel them there, staring at her, judging, unforgiving, demanding. But those were not the only eyes she felt. She felt many, many more. All of them staring at her in disgust. All of them waiting to know why they had not been protected. All of them blaming her for their own demise.

All of them demanding the same thing from her.

She pushed the corpse off herself and struggled back up to her feet. It did not take her long to notice just how close the demons were to her, yet she initially made no move. She simply focused her eyes on one of them while the others slowly opened to the sides to surround her, with a glare that could have easily burned itself in a person's memory forever. She was no longer in pain, and her path was very clear. She was well aware of what she had to do.

   Tear them all to pieces.

Three were the Turok-han that tried to attack the former knight from different directions. The first one was intercepted before it even had the chance to leap towards her, and its head was swiftly removed by the blade. The second was merely crippled at first, with both legs being cut clean off by two smooth swings. The kick that followed not only dazed what remained of it and sent it flying some distance, but it also propelled the swordswoman in the direction of the third, which was soon bereft of its left arm and driven to the ground by the throat. A series of vicious stabs to the head and torso sealed its fate, and she immediately shifted her attention towards new targets, but not before stomping on the surviving legless Turok-han's skull on her way.

It was hard to tell whether or not she could notice the grin that was very slowly taking over her outraged expression.

Ratchet and Clank-Beating Back Hell

"I can't believe we got saddled with getting snacks for everyone," Ratchet pouted, while standing in a line that could best be described as 'far too long'.

"At least we can still give our support to our teammates from here," Clank pipped up optimistically from Ratchet's side.

"Yeah, I guess. It's kind of hard to see everyone though...."

It was then that Felipe walked on stage to announce the winners, and the solar eclipse.

Things then went very, very wrong.

Suddenly there were demons everywhere and everyone was panicking. From the sounds coming from nearer the stage, thing's were really going to hell. Ratchet had dealt with invasions before, but this...this was the absolute worst thing he or Clank had ever seen. Thescreams, the smell of blood on air. People were dying, and they had to act now.

Clank was on Ratchet's back and the combustor was in Ratchet's hand in a moment, the both of them wearing matching expressions of seriousness. This ended here.

It took a moment to make there way through the fleeing crowd (occaisonly stopping to shoot super heated plasma at one of the chasing monsters), but eventually he made his way to the center of the fight, where a massive tentacled...thing had made it's appearence. One of those massive tentacles came down on them in a swipe, trying to grab the duo. Ratchet swiftly leapt over the offending appendage, using Clank to get some extra height, and then Ratchet fired at it with the combustor.

"Looks like this ugly thing could use a trim," Ratchet commented grimly, switching his Cumbustor for his Buzz Blades in the span of a second. Several saw blades fired from the gun, and began cutting their way through the eldritch beast's tentacles.

Hellfight - Felipe Isn't Pink and Effeminate Enough 0/10

Dropping the people she'd been carrying, a few young kids clinging to a girl about Steven's age, a safe-looking distance away from the action, Lapis flew up above the action for a moment to see if her attack on Felipe had struck true. Sure enough, he'd been thrown to the ground, and thanks to Velvet the glowy bullet-deflecting energy thing around him was now gone.

That said, she did give a look of considerable disgust when the host's flesh ripped away rather gorily to reveal his true colors (and shape). Not that she dwelled on it; she was in a battle, for one, and for another having an oversized man-eating squid launch into the air high enough that she actually had to dodge it wasn't conducive to being distracted.

Speaking of dodging, some Turok-han or another had the nerve to throw the body of one of its fallen comrades at her. Another did likewise. And a third. Yeah, that wasn't annoying. She managed to avoid all but the last one, being knocked back by it, and out of irritation decided to gain some additional height.

On the one hand, the squid was the most immediately dangerous thing in the area by virtue of being able to crush swathes of people under its weight. On the other, it was already receiving plenty of fire, and the skeletal demon which was clearly the commander of this horde was receiving fewer such attacks, and from her experience putting an enemy commander out of action tended to very quickly turn a battle in one's favor.

Wringing her hands together, she broke the hand of the water arm off from the rest of the mass and with it tried to hold Felipe in place for Scott and Velvet's convenience, while blowing back some nearby vampires by breaking up the rest of the construct.

This Isn't Even My Final Form, Real World Splatoon Boogaloo

The armored cephalopod-looking creature let out a noise that could only be described as otherworldly (like a screech that grated the eardrums and had enough power to break glass) as the attacks pelted against it, most exploding upon either its hard shell or thrashing limbs. That wasn't to say that there wasn't no damage considering that chunks of calcined protection and all too numerous tentacles went flying apart in the blooming rain of explosions and fire, but those wounds were knitting at a notable speed considering that the monstrosity continued to consume the literal heaps of nearby corpses, converting the flesh of the deceased into potent healing energy that closed its gaping wounds within seconds.

Still, no new tentacles were being regrown full cloth and the shell itself couldn't regenerate, only the fleshy innards underneath the natural armor in question. The bad part that all of the tentacles that were severed continued to twist and thrash around, squirming and jumping mindlessly while moving towards nearby targets. Though they would naturally die after a few seconds of being unconnected, they were still full of the kind of vitality that could be described as a roided up version of headless chickens and cockroaches. It was vaguely discomforting, seeing how chaotically the squirming mass of flesh was behaving and how they were coating the ground with a suspect green liquid that seemed to be incredibly sticky considering a couple of Turok-han had dashed into the mire and futilely thrashed around like insects in flypaper.

A combination of factors would result in a change to the formerly defensive thing's behavioral patterns, the fact that the shell was now so full of holes both cracked and burnt it was just a load of dead weight rather than anything protective and the fact that its mouth and eye had particularly harmful projectiles mess it up rather well. If it hadn't been a demon with a particularly sturdy body type and regenerative ability, it would have died so long ago. As it was though, it was simply a sitting target for everyone to rain their considerable fire power upon so it adapted. The shell split via hairline fractures before being shucked off with a shake of its considerable bulk, the weighty things flying off in an arc before falling down.

A sickeningly wet plopping sound later and what looked like a streamlined head that squids were common known for soon appeared, though the shape was rather different in that it seemed to be patterned like either a corkscrew or a drill. The thing was also half transparent and the fighters would be able to see thrumming organs and bits and pieces of swallowed beachgoers and Turok-hans floating around in its stomach, rapidly being dissolved in a rather offputting manner. Using what few tentacles the thing still had left, it hoisted its now much softer seeming bulk away from the group and into the sand... where it began to spin and drill into the ground in a way that no mortal biological animal would be able to.

What came next could only be described as a high speed localized sandstorm as vast amounts of granular grit was thrown and blown by the rapid rotation, causing the area to become much harder to see through overall. To put matters worse, the thing was now swimming around underneath everyone's feet, churning the very earth itself with its movements. Those without futuristic equipment or abnormal senses would find that perhaps the only way to figure out where it was would happen to to feel how powerful the shaking was in their general area, from which point they would have to act lest the thing breach from underneath them.

It was with this aggressive new tactic that the eldritch thing would fight, popping from underground via a powerful burst to hang in the air for a moment before angling back down to hide in the ground and repeating the actions once more. it was much faster, though the range from which it could interact with was now a lot less considering the overall lack of tentacles and its defensive abilities were pretty much lowered due to their earlier assault given how they were able to see its insides and all. Still, the thing was quick and the air was a lot more stifled now so that was easier said then done despite its great bulk.

Martial Artist Says Thank You

Ranma for her part blankly looked upwards for a few seconds longer before her body clenched, the sickly greenish yellow energies spiking up before it lanced out as a beam from her outstretched palms, a powerful concussive force built up from almost self-terminating levels of sorrow that all but smashed through a small cluster of Turok-han like a wrecking ball to send their various body parts spinning about in the air after impact.

Breathing heavily with her fists clenched tight, the redhead looked at the people near her with glistening eyes before rubbing them away with her sleeves. It seemed that whatever that attack had been had siphoned away enough overall negativity to let the girl function again, like emptying a basin that was close to overflowing. ["I-I'm fine... Thank you and um... sorry for the trouble."] Giving a jerky nod to Ragna and the Fox Kid, the pigtailed martial artist looked at them with a thankful look in her eye before she picked herself up in a slightly unsteady fashion. "You caught me at a bad time. I wasn't used to a-all this."

Another deep breath before a slowly but steadily building determination came back to her voice. "But that's enough being useless. We have squid to fish out." Blocking her gaze as the impromptu sandstorm came about, the girl continued to glare hard at the shifting earth, her senses able to lock in on the general vicinity of the thing, eyes locked on the prize. "If any of you have any long range attacks, you should try to fire it off when it comes up... I can sort of sense where it's gonna come from to help."

Having not enough confidence at the moment to perform the Moko Takabisha and not wanting to have a depressive downward spiral to fuel the Shishi Hokodan, the pigtailed girl swallowed her pride and became backup support as her finger moved around in accordance with where the eldritch being was swimming, hand rising quickly upwards once the thing was about to surface.

Felipe Fight

The clash happened in a way that was probably mixed bag for both the entity who stylized itself as 'Felipe' and Velvet. The skeleton for his part was clearly not expecting the aerial maneuver, having been thinking of possibilities of either a head on clash or the irksome woman retreating from his charge. The attack on his skull went off without a hitch, the pale white thing clenched in the daemon's facepalm of doom... though the girl was now also being spun around at high speeds due to the thing being attached much more sturdily than the frame would suggest and eventually get blasted off by the body shieldbashing her abdomen. Still, she was flung off with Felipe's skull in hand after it broke off with a rather audible cracking sound so that wasn't as bad a trade off.

"YOU LITTLE PENDEJO!"    The skull all but cursed as the ghostfire eyes in its sockets flashed before the thing swept out and engulfed the bony head, superheating its surface of contact in an attempt to get the demon hunter to drop it. The body itself was surprisingly still able to move, though the overall actions were a bit more jerky and inflexible than before. Still, it seemed to work well enough considering that it was able to exchange sword blows with Scott, the bladed paddle intersecting with Scott's Power of Heartbreak in a discordant clash of metallic ringing. A deft flick of the twist and the spacing between the weapon's teeth was used as a swordbreaker, attempting to twist Scott's weapon out of his grip in an abrupt motion.

The hand of water being blasted towards him was abruptly stopped in place by the shield with its literal moving and glaring demon face, the grimacing and horribly fanged monster on the thing's design gritting its mouth as it pushed against the water via an invisible struggle while moving independently from the main skeletal body in question. Now being a game of who could push against each other better, the shield attempted to slowly move towards Lapis while holding the water in place, manic bloodlust gleaming in its eyes.

Conservation of Ninjutsu

As time went on and the conflict continued to rage, the number of Turok-han would unceasingly continue to fall down and down until at last it reached the not very particularly intimidating number of six. And yet it was when there was only half a dozen of the beasts left that the the sky in question darkened even more considerably, the eclipsing soon turning black to fully block out the sun's rays and turn the world dark. It was within this darkness that excited howls rang out from the surviving Turok-han, the thing's yellow eyes gleaming dangerously in the now darker environs.

People would find that the beasts were now significantly harder to damage than before, as well as faster and stronger. Swords that should have been able to cut now bounced off their outstretched claws via a shower of sparks and bullets would thud against their flesh, embedding itself slightly but not penetrating. The energy based attacks did quite a bit more damage considering the amount of damage it could inflict on the creatures of darkness but now we had two FLAMING proto-vampires bounding after their targeted arsonists.

Still, there were holes in them that proved to dampen a bit of their ability to engage in close combat. The darkness and the sheer speed that left after images would be of particular confusing factors to the fight, darting erratically about and swapping with each other every now and then to further entangle the separate groups of combatants even further, confusing who had what and dragging allies into the crosshairs of the affiliated to let the threat of friendly-fire do their job for them.

A pink blur that himself was similarly fleet of feet as the various vampires had thrown himself back into the fray after impromptu meal, enough mana pumping through his artificial body to let him not hold back. Still, he was weak for a Servant and there were multiples of the same now fully empowered threat so it was all that he could actually do to use sword and shield to fend off ghoulish claws in a shower of dramatic sparks.

It was his regained sanity though that made the boy a particularly technical fighter, giving him both returning fear and the resulting caution that allowed him to use his skills to great effect, using the minimum amount of entanglement before jumping back away from clusters of the things.

It was also this renewal of common sense that allowed the veteran young commander of many conflicts to have his military acumen and insight come back in full force, seeing the weakness of the creatures in question from glimpses of the overall clash. "They're weak to particularly strong light or sunlight in general! Anyone with such weapons or abilities should try to light up the place to make their earlier vulnerabilities come back!" Yelling out his knowledge, the boy jumped up and somersaulted after kicking off a proto-vampire's face and using it as a springboard to jump away from the vicious rasping things once more.

Velvet (Stage)-Now he really is Ghost Rider

Velvet got to her feet as she was thrown from the body, and then looked down at the head as it yelled and then ignited in flames. For a moment she paused. Then she turned the head so it was looking at her, or at least as best as it could with a claw in each of its eyeholes.

"Be careful what you wish for. You wanted demons? Now you get to see what happens when you meet a demon. Enjoy being eaten."

At this point, Velvet suddenly smashed the skull against the ground with her full demonic strength. And then she did it again. Over and over, she would repeat this, in an effort to shatter the skull into pieces.

Lady (In the air)-Suddenly, sand

Lady had seen a lot of ugly shit in her time hunting demons, but this.....thing, whatever the hell it was, ranked high in the disgusting department. Her face went slightly green before her vision became obsured, only able to see enough to be able to notice it was jumping out of the sand, then going back in, without really being able to pinpoint a location.

"Tessa!" She yelled, before coughing as sand went into her mouth. "Point me at it when..." another pause to cough "....when it jumps out and tell me so I can fire!"

She started charging another high powered missile as she said this and then spat the sand out again.

Max, Civilian Duty

"Appreciated!" Luckily, the safezone was right there thanks to the others' hard work. Max could finally deposit the carried civilians there. "The police should be here shortly. You'll be safe with them." He said to his passengers, trying his best to appear personable. Wasn't the easiest of tasks given his measurements, but given that he saved these civilians' lives, it seemed they were willing to overlook that their savor was almost all metal and nearly three meters tall.

"Fran, if you could please tend to the wounded." He addressed the doctor, hoping she was still around. "Looks like there isn't enough Turok-hans to give chase anymore, but keep your eyes around you still."

Griffith, Warrior Therapist

These women really had their priorities in the wrong order. If Griffith were in their shoes, he would consider surviving literal Hell to be a good finale to the pageant. "If I were to guess, it was a personal preference of every judge. That, and your attitude towards them. Us, really." He smiled at Las Divinas. "Your attitude might have cost you the contest. You went out of your way to antagonize them and belittle them, and they paid you back with their own anger."

"Even the one man you were courting proved unimpressed. That is the saddest part. Your performance wasn't bad, by any stretch." They had finally reached the safezone, Griffith turning to Las Divinas. "But if you think you can reach out to your dream and hold it, then do not hesitate." Here he stood, angelic and immaculate, not even the flower-patterned shirt doing much to detract from his marble-like features. "If you really mean it, fight for it. This battle you might have lost, but you have many others ahead. Find your allies and help them as they help you, so both of you may revel in your triumph."

He bowed slightly. "This is where we part ways, m'ladies. Follow the rest with the wounded, so that they may be tended to. The two over there" He gestured towards Max and Fran. "will ensure your safety. If I live through this" Griffith offered one of his trained genuine smiles. "then it would be an honor to meet you again."

And then he was gone, the fixed smile replaced with focus as he beelined towards the fight with Turok-han. Unfortunately, with no sunlight in sight he couldn't just blind the beasts with the reflection in his sabre, but his focus was the woman enjoying herself too much on this battlefield. Griffith came in like a gray lightning, parrying one of the blows coming his way and repositioning to face the enemy. "Come to senses, Elesis. The manic grin is unbecoming of you." He called to the Crimson Avenger, idly twirling the sabre in his hand.
