Sumireko, Fortune Street
"You're in the shadows, but just because it's night out doesn't mean they won't notice the giant guy standing behind me. It's really brightly lit, even in this alleyway, yeah?" Sumireko knew this guy must've been pissed about that comment, but still, it's Japan. It's a valid concern.

...Maybe if they said he was Bob Sapp...

Naaaaah, that'd be pushing it. Nobody young would know who that is, and there was no way Zazsalamel would go along with that gimmick.

Sumireko waved away his concerns physically. She would do it psychically to, if she had figured out how. "Don't worry about it, though. I'll make sure to ask him about it. It's not a lot of extra payment for the girl who just saved his life, isn't it?"

Virtually instantly getting back into the chair she nodded to her old customer. "I just want to ask a little favor...if you know anyone who might need my services, maybe you'd be kind enough to tell them about us? We're just starting out. Maybe you could even do it on the internet. #HakureiKamurocho"

Waitressing

Lucy really looked like she didn't want to be at the here and now, the here being the night club and the now being full of annoying self-entitled bastards clamoring to have their idiotic whims covered. Deciding to pick her poison and head to the man who had one too many shots it seemed. Never in her life did the woman think she had to do something like this and it irked her greatly but as it were, one had to make due with what they had. She sorely wanted to be the one doing the testing once more though.

Warming up her vocal chords, the fallen angel then began to sing softly, directing her sound waves towards the man so that only he could hear it. With supernatural grace, a calm and soothing melody rang out, without lyrics but also a primal sort of power that undulated with Siren-like beauty. It was slow and soothing, a song meant to help lull beings into slumber with the literal voice of an angel. It was a realm that very few humans could reach if any, a voice that had been once blessed by the Creator but now was used to lead people astray.

Qrow - A Breakdown In Violence; Arena

To be fair on Qrow, he didn't expect an aura-less human to be that strong. Hence why he was taken off-guard by Taiga ripping his scythe from his hands.

Hence why Taiga had him up against the wall of the cage without a smidge of resistance.

Qrow grunted as the blows started pummeling into him, aura doing nothing to lessen the pain. This guy was strong, no doubt about it. But Qrow had fought stronger. His niece, for one.

But one didn't have an abrasive personality and a drinking problem and never get into a brawl. So Qrow was better than most Huntsmen would be when disarmed. If Ruby was in this situation, she'd be in trouble (which was something he needed to rectify as soon as he got back to her).

So, instead of trying to pull the man off him, or any such ineffective tactics, Qrow simply used his head.

Specifically, he attempted to headbutt Taiga right in the nose.

The Kid, The Club - Bouncer Duty

The Kid knew taverns and saloons. He knew the point of them and what they were, he'd have to have been very sheltered not to. But he had never seen one like this before. And even if he had, he knew nothing about serving actual spirits, or giving people food, or anything of that sort. So out of all the possible jobs, there was really only one he had any idea of how to do. And that was keep an eye out for drunks and people looking to cause trouble.

And it didn't take too long for him to be needed it seemed. An obviously drunk man was shouting and insulting one of the women serving him. The Kid strode towards the scene calmly, and put himself between the man and the woman; Giving her an assuring smile. He turned his attention to the man, putting a firm hand on his shoulder and keeping hold. "You're going to have to leave."

Batting Center

Majima continued to laugh even as he was struck in the chest by Veronica's knife, shifting backwards and out of knife range.

"That so? I've got a few words for you too. A question, in fact."

At this point, Majima's form suddenly began to shift, as his body turned completly black, as if the shadows had risen up to cover him. At the same time, no less then 4 other shadowy Majima forms stepped out from behind him, 2 on each side.

"Are you afraid of the dark?"

At this point, the lights in the room suddenly cut off, plunging the room into total darkness. Around her, Veronica would hear the many footsteps of the 5 Majima's, seemingly running around at random in an attempt to disorient her.

Club

The fish man turned to Sabrina.

"Ah, good, the waiter finally shows up! I want one grilled tuna fish, on the double!"

Meanwhile, the angry man turned to face The Kid

"Time to leave? Do you have any idea who I am, how much money I spend at this club, who I work...."

He trailed off as the sleepy song from Lucy hit his ears, and his eyes begin to glaze over.

"Woh.....I.....why am I so tired? You.....you drugged me, diden't you?" He said, raising an unsteady hand to point at The Kid.

Shrine

The old man nodded. "Oh, sure, sure! I don't actually own a computer myself, don' t even know how to use one, but I know a few kids who do. But I'm not as young as I used to be, you know, this old body doesn't move all that fast, so it might take some time. Sorry about that.

Arena

The blow landed cleanly, and a loud CRACK would ring throughout the arena, various nearby spectators wincing as Taiga staggered backward, clutching his nose.

"Not bad. Not bad at all. I think it's time I stopped holding back."

He turned, still looking backward at the hunter as he reached for his big coat, and ripped both the coat and the undershirt under it off in a single motion. His clothing fell in a corner, and his tattoo on his back was now plainly visible. He also began to noticeably glow, as a yellow, flame like aura covered his body. Once a moment passed, he turned to face Qrow again, lifting his arms in a fighting stance, waiting for his opponents move.

Street, post-fight

The Analander turned, his enemy defeated, and found himself face-to-face with what seemed to be a local. The hooded man looked from the badge the person held up to his face. The Analander looked very uncertain.

"Is this...supposed to mean something to me?" He asked, forgetting for a moment the reason he was there in the first place. It quickly dawned on him the situation he found himself in, so he bowed his head humbly towards the detective.

"I apologize," he said, "I'm new to your world. As is that girl in the...'car', I think you called it?"

Baron, It's Tough When Everybody's Tough, Elise

Apparently everybody wanted to be a bouncer. Figures. At least they had Yang behind the bar.

With Kid and Lucy taking care of the drunk, and Sabrina (hopefully) taking care of the customer demanding a tuna sandwich, the magnificent opulence that was the Blacker Baron turned his attention to the nerd hoping to try and chat their blonde barwoman up.

"Good evenin'. Ya can always ask for a drink, but she ain't no hostess, know what I'm sayin', brudda?" He grinned at the nerd, gesturing for him to come over to the bar. "That said, ya can chat her up, be friendly an' stuff. Money's no issue dere." Now for some lying. "'sides, ya can try an' ask her out once she's off work hours, dig? Ya might just have a shot."

Sabrina, Explaining How A Hostess Club Works To Grilled Tuna Fish Man

"You do understand this is a Hostess Club, right?" Sabrina asked the man who ordered a grilled tuna fish sandwich. "Here, men order alcohol and snack food, while talking to a hostess, and grilled tuna fish sandwiches are not snack food."

"However, if you truly wish for a grilled tuna fish sandwich, I believe Smile Burger sells tuna burgers, and I could help you find the nearest one," Sabrina suggested to the man.

Sumireko, Shrine
"Okay, that's great," Sumireko said, internally remarking that it's not great at all. She had at least one more ace up her sleeve and she had to deploy it, and deflect the wrath of her enforcer.

"I just want to remind you, the Gods look really favorably upon those who spread their word and influence," she said, leaning in a little closer and whispering it like it was a big secret. "You don't even need to be a priest to do it!"

Street

Tanimura took a moment to glance at the Analander, then at the girl in the car, and then back at Kashira.

"One of yours?"

He then looked back at the Analander. "That still doesn't explain where you found an armored police car that's 20 or more years out of date."

Club

"You really think so?" The nerd said, seemingly invigorated by this vote of confidence. "Ok then, thanks Mr bouncer!"

He then walked away before Baron could say anything. Over at the bar, Yang would be faced with a random nerd who had glasses and a large backpack on. His clothing was a random red tee shirt and blue jeans, and he smelled a little to boot. He sat down, attempting to look cool and mostly failing.

"Hey there. What's your name?"

Meanwhile, the man demanding a fish was unhappy with this reply.

"No, I will not go to Smile Burger! Don't you know their food is processed shit, stuffed full of chemicals and other crap!? I'm the customer, you're supposed to service me, and I want an authentic Tuna Fish! If you don't have one, then go catch one! I'll wait!"

He crossed his arms, clearly having no intention of backing down.

Movie shoot

A few moments passed as they all waited for Asgore to show up.....and he failed to do so.

Where is he? The director whispered to an assistant.

He suddenly got sick and went running for the bathroom

Screw it, keep rolling, add some dramatic music in post at this part

The Director motioned for the actors to continue, and they started speaking again.

"Split up! He can't follow us all at once!"

With this sudden idea, the 4 teens started running in different directions.

Shrine

The old man raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Yes, of course I'm aware of that, but I'm an old man, as much as I hate to admit it sometimes. Surely the gods understand that I'm doing the best I can?"

The Street

The Analander looked at the car, then back at the Tanimura, with the same look of confusion as he had.

"It found me," he stated, pointing to the car. "It has a mind of its own." He took a few steps towards KITT and tapped its (his?) door window.

"Show him, 'car'. Speak."

The Street —> The Shrine

As the situation on Tenkaichi Street just outside the unseen Tower's doors seemed to deescalate somewhat, the newer amongst the Climbers in the vicinity might begin to feel as if someone was watching them. Though the sensation might subsequently remain depending on their individual levels of paranoia, its actual source would abruptly vanish as she turned and leapt from atop yet another nearby neon sign to land at ground level upon her sturdy, classic sandals with an inhuman grace. Unless they followed, the last they would see of her figure was the long tail of her blue sash as it swished around the corner into the adjacent alley along with her.

At exactly the same moment she turned the bend, of course, the staid woman arrived in the locale of the city's newest (only) shrine. Less a matter of course was the fact that the phone of the psychic fronting the questionable operation suddenly received a text message from "KOSMOS", which read:

Of course the gods understand. All we ask of our new adherent is that he spread news of us and what we have done for him by word of mouth while he chases after his passion. So return his yen as a demonstration of divine generosity, says your goddess, whose rare appearance before mortals is a sign of unusually good fortune.

The elaborately dressed blunette glided stoically past the man sitting before Sumireko, archaic footwear clapping lightly on the concrete as she circled around the "shrine", quietly brushed off a spot on the ground, and knelt in a picture-perfect zazen stance behind the faker shrine maiden's right shoulder. Though she had walked by him without seeming to pay him any mind, she tilted her head ever so slightly and eyed him with a reserved sort of curiosity after she was seated, like an observer who did not expect at all to be watched back.

Yang - Club Elise

Yang eyed the nerd suspiciously as she cleaned a glass with a rag - it was already clean, she just knew bartenders tended to do that sort of thing when she went to clubs, so it wouldn't hurt to at least try and do the same to seem more professional. At least as professional as she could while trying not to laugh. Who took a backpack to a bar? Still, if the big Baron had let the dork in, she couldn't just throw him out on his ass. Yet.

She lowered her gaze slightly, staring right at the nerd from behind her aviators before simply saying one word.

"Yang."

KITT - Streets Near Entrance

KITT's sensor bar at the front of his hood remained dark for a good long second. Was the Analander full of shit, as the good detective was quite likely thinking right now? The red light finally reappeared and once again bounced from side to side.

"Greetings Detective Tanimura, I am the Knight Industries Three Thousand," he spoke up. "Normally police vehicles serve as a deterrent for crimes. However, these local thugs appear quite brazen, mostly like due to the combination of a relaxed threat of punishment or retribution from law enforcement, and general corruption of the political situation. Now that this situation is resolved, if you would be so kind as to escort these miscreants to a holding cell, we will be on our way."

Sumireko, The ACTUAL SHRINE
Sumireko sighed. This was going to be a lot harder than she liked. "I know you're old, but, there has to be..."
*buzz buzz*
"......I know this is rude, but hold on a minute."

Okay, Sumireko never had shared her number with anyone else so far. There were those spambot machines that sent a text to numbers randomly, but still, something like this was worth checking. She quickly brought her phone out, and read the one text received.

...What? She looked around briefly, confused, just to be sure that Zazsalamel or someone else hadn't gotten a phone to prank her. Why would a god speak through a text, anyway? There wasn't a reason to go and give him back her meager earnings, she...

She...

Oh, wow.

Sumireko stared transfixed, her eyes catching a glint off of the newcomer's artificial hair to alert her to the newcomer. She didn't notice whatever the old man's reaction was, and didn't care. This woman was immaculately beautiful in just about any way she could name. The young psychic's mind raced with questions.

Who was this? Someone like this would've stuck out like a sore thumb, but could she have just listened nearby? Sumireko couldn't recall seeing her anywhere else before, and she had tried to get everyone's faces committed to memory. That left the other option. She wasn't like the Gods of Gensokyo. They were far less...reserved. This was a foreign land, and an untapped land according to Reimu...

Regardless of the decision she internally reached, her hand slowly pushed back the yen note to the old man, and finally tearing her eyes away from KOSMOS she said "We believe you'll do better with this money than we would, on second thought."

2B - Street to Shrine

"Handshake request received. Transmitting frequencies for wireless and point-to-point communication."

Things seemed to be under control now, and 2B was about to leave the injured and demoralized humans to the detective - when movement caught her eye. The android's head darted up and around to track the mysterious figure's flight from sign to street.

"Was that another Climber?"

"Visual records confirm. Long-range scans indicate advanced mechanical construction."

As the woman vanished around the bend, 2B paused, then turned to look down at KITT.

"You have secure storage space, right?"

After depositing her case full of winnings in KITT's trunk, 2B hurried towards the alleyway that the other android had vanished down, emerging to see the the relatively familiar faces of several other Climbers, as well as her quarry and several local humans. Rather than interrupt, the black-clad swordswoman made her way quietly around the side of the shrine, taking in the scene.

Bar

Seeing the man was getting rather unsteady (well, more than he already was), Lucy smirked ever so slightly during a lull in her song as the tempo lowered itself to a croon, stepping closer to the man and bending towards him with a gaze that appeared seductively predatory. It was less like bedroom eyes and more like a wolf eyeing a frozen deer, the gaze hungry and full of devilish intent. Closer meant the song was even easier to listen to and the sound more all-pervading, wordlessly thrumming with power as Lucy continued her work of tempting the man to falling into deep slumber as she kept up the momentum, striking while the iron was still hot.

Qrow - Arena

Qrow cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders, watching Taiga glow yellow and take off his jacket.

"You know, my niece does the exact same thing." Qrow commented, with sly grin. Except without the stripping. went unsaid.

Or at the very least, he desperately hoped that it was without the stripping. Kid had mommy issues, who wouldn't even if Raven had stuck around, but he hoped she wasn't that screwed up by it.

"Lemme guess. You just got stronger, right?"

He made no move to test this theory, but glanced at his scythe, trying to judge whether he could reach it before Taiga could reach him.

Sabrina, Considering Her Options

"So you want an authentic grilled tuna fish sandwich?" Sabrina asked Grilled Tuna Fish Guy. "Authentic enough to have been caught fresh from the sea even?"

If tuna was anything like the fish Pokemon that existed back home, they were likely a few pounds and pretty much not fit for a sandwich unless prepared beforehand.

Sabrina turned towards the exasperated hostess there, as well as addressing the other hostesses. "Ignore him... Ignore him until he orders something that is listed on the actual menu."

"If he is unhappy with that, then he is well within his rights to leave," Sabrina glanced at the customer before looking at the hostess again. "And if he gets too disruptive to business here, then Yang or Lucy can escort him out."

Sabrina would begin the journey back to the door but kept a eye on the man, waiting for what his reaction would be to her just denying him his grilled tuna fish sandwich.

"KITT, we are visitors here. We should not be lecturing the local police on how to do their jobs."

Well, the blending in tactic was thoroughly discarded, which was a shame. Long gone was the chance of touring the city without attracting all kinds of looks from random pedestrians. Well, at least they could still... well, try to help Analander not end up in a police station. KITT was alright, but... perhaps a bit more empathy was needed.

The Kid, Club

The Kid frowned slightly at he watched the man suddenly start to waver, unsteady even as he sat. Keeping a hand on him as support, the young soldier moved closer to look the man in the eyes properly. They were glazed over, and he was struggling to even talk. That couldn't be good. "No, I didn't. Have you taken anything recently?"

Any further questions he had went unasked, as he soon found himself joined by someone else. The blonde woman from the group, that had been standing nearby and watching the man. And now that she was closer, The Kid saw something in her expression that set him on edge. Ill intent practically left her in waves, as she eyed the man like he was prey. She had a predator's intent, and the teen had a good idea who had done this to the man. Placing himself between the woman and her target, he stared her down. "What have you done to him?"

The Actual Shrine of ???

Once Sumireko had recompensed the poor sap's money unto his person again, the blunette poised behind her smiled ever so slightly and rotated her eyes down to glance directly at the psychic's phone, which proceeded to buzz once more.

Very good. You have done well. Please remind Koda Kozue-kun that spreading our message in his own way is payment enough, my adorable shrine maiden. He shall go to his tournament with our blessing of protection, and in turn serve as our champion in the arena.

Having passed along her words through text, the unusual woman turned her gaze upon the newest visitor to their humble facade of a religious site. For now, however, she kept any thoughts she had on the appearance of the black-clad robot girl and her boxy floating companion to herself, content for the time to simply observe them with her vibrantly scarlet orbs.

Quirking an eyebrow as the vertically challenged child soldier made his displeasure known, Lucifer continued to hum while staring down at the boy. "I'm simply putting the man to sleep so he'd not bother us, no more and no less." 2B - Shrine

Standing around reconnoitering broodily from the sidelines only get you so far, and eventually 2B's curiosity got the better of her and prompted her to step up beside her fellow climbers shrine.

"This is what you're doing to make money?" She asked the group, one hand on her hip as she looked over at the shrine's previous patron. "Giving it back seems counter productive."

She turned her gaze turned towards the blue-haired android - only to freeze for a second as she picked up on an important detail. Red eyes...

Alarm, and a parade of unpleasant memories, flashed through the android's mind as she took a half-step back, before she got ahold of her reaction and analyzed the situation properly. What was the chances of the logic virus appearing in an android from an entirely different universe? She wasn't showing any other symptoms... Slowly, 2B let herself fall back into a relatively relaxed posture, although she still eyed the blue-haired robot warily.
