Yang - Club Elise

"I'll be bartender!" Yang rapidly replied as soon as Akiyama mentioned the position was open. She hopped over the bar counter and got to acclimating herself with the layout, looking at all the bottles and tracking down the location of the glasses, garnishes, and other things.

"I'm gonna make myself a killer strawberry sunrise. I'll make ones for everyone!"

She grabbed a big bottle of orange juice and started the process of making her favorite drink.

KITT - Streets Near Entrance

KITT continued to stay there at the thugs kept using conventional weapons against him. Japan was truly an interesting country. In California they would have certainly brought out the shotguns by now. Or more accurately, they would have started with them.

Also interesting was the man wanting to get out of the vehicle. Not being one for keeping people imprisoned, he simply let the Analander leave. "I will intervene in the event of a tangible threat to your life," he stated, then closed the door again with more than enough force to crush the arms of any of the thugs who thought they could get in. It may even be of benefit to him, as he would be able to take more direct force against the thugs if they began to pose a physical threat to the man.

Most interesting of all, though, was the 'woman' who had approached nearby. She lacked any discernible vital signs, instead being of a more mechanically-inclined construction. The box floating around was also a robot of some sort, but more obviously so.

"Greetings," he said to 2B, his red sensor bar lighting up and moving side-to-side as he spoke. "I am the Knight Industries Three Thousand, but you may call me KITT. I am the Artificial General Intelligence responsible for this vehicle. Your construction and technology are abnormal for Japan in this time period, indicating that you are another of our allies from the Tower. Pleased to meet you."

Arena

The attempt at scaring him backward would prove to be less then successful. This was hardly the first opponent Taiga had faced that used a blade, and while this one was somewhat bigger the the norm, he still knew how to judge a blade's cutting arc, and where it would slash. Thus, he could see the blade was not actually threatening to hit him. Unmoving, he let the blade slash past. The second it passed, he was moving forward quickly, swinging his bat upward and aiming to hit Qrow right in the lungs, to hopefully drive the air from them and stun him while he was still in mid-slash. If he managed to stun the guy for any amount of time, he would follow up by dropping his bat and running forward, extending his large arms and attempting to grab the hunter and drive him back into the cage as hard as he could. If at this point Qrow had failed to take action, he would begin swinging one fist while holding him with the other, attempting to beat the shit out of him.

Shrine

The old man seemed only to become more concerned at this.

'But, but.....How will I attend the Southeastern Asia Pocket Circuit championships if I can't leave the country!? I've been preparing for this for months!"

His panic grew, the older man beginning to breath heavily.

"Please, there must be something that can be done! I must attend this event!"

Meanwhile, the detective considered this.

"Hmmm.....technically, allowing civilians to assist on police business is against policy....but eh, so is gambling. What they don't know won't hurt em. Just don't go blabbing about being my partner to anyone, or I'll deny everything and throw you to the wolves. Strictly an unofficial arrangement. Now, as for the other group from a couple of years ago-"

He was suddenly cut off by static on his earpeice, which was loud enough for Kashira to hear.

"Any available units, we have reports of a disturbance on Tenkaichi street. A group of thugs is assaulting a police car that witnesses say is being driven by a sexual predator. Any available units, please respond, over."

He sighed. "That's literally right around the corner. Not 50 feet away. I'm gonna have to respond to this, or I'm going to get into a lot of shit later. You're going to have to join me until we track this "Dio" guy down."

He reached to respond to the call, placing a finger on the earpiece.

"Tanimura here, I'm at Public Park 3, I'll take the call, over."

At this point, the raised voices from the car scene reached the ears of those at the shrine.

"Shit, already sounds like they're about to go at it. We need to hurry, come on!"

Not waiting to see if she was following, he took off running.

Car

The thug with the bat turned to face the robotic woman, clearly annoyed.

"This guy's some sicko pervert who locked a teenager in his old ass cop car and wants to do all kinds of fucked up shit to her! What do you want us to do, walk away? We're doing a public service, damnit!"

Then KITT introduced himself, and the thug became very confused.

"Wha-did.....did that car just talk?"

Meanwhile, the man with the knife got up as the Analander got out of the car, clearly pissed.

"Oh ya, a fatal mistake? Only mistake made here is you thinking you can bring your sick ass fetishes into our town and get away with it!"

He got into a stance and started advancing on the Analander, as the man who went to grab the giant sign slowly moved toward him from behind. It would be at this point that Kashira and Tanimura arrived behind 2B, Tanimura coming to a halt as he took the scene in.....as well as 2B's choice in attire.

Batting Center

Majima stumbled back, but he seemed far from upset at this turnaround, laughing as he went down in a runners stance.

"We're just getting started, don't you worry."

Then he sprang forward, rushing forward. He would attempt to run so that he would pass by Veronica, slashing hard and swiftly as he ran past before sliding and turning back toward her so that he could rush her again, repeating this pattern.

Sumireko, Shrine of Financial Compensation
Of course it was some dumb convention he had to go to, but this still was not the right reaction a grown man should be having! Sumireko raised her hands in front of her and said "S-Sir, calm down, I'm sure that..."

...Wait. What if there was a way to change what he had in store? A simple method that anyone could do, to change your fortunes and put you in favor of the Gods? Why, Sumireko had done it before, everyone's done it at least once!

Though Sumireko's exterior calmed down, trying to make the man at ease by putting her hands on his, on the inside she couldn't be more smug without dying from an overdose. This was it. This was the way they'd go to the next world.

A couple seconds of a pause, with Sumireko trying to insinuate he should take deep breaths by doing it herself (and after the police left) she finally spoke. "I know it might sound complicated, yes, but fate isn't really a...set-in-stone kind of thing. There's ways to change things, methods to avoiding it...like, you remember how old people raised their sons as daughters? Like that. Except the way I've got is a little easier."

"If you're familiar with the practice of Saisen, you've probably heard this a lot...but the Gods do look kindly on a little donation or two. Doesn't have to be much, but anything can help your case."

Kashira Lavellan - Shrine to Altercation - A Timely Intervention

It seemed that, for once, Kashira was right and she relaxed a little as the watchmen accepted her terms. Sufficient unto the day, as the saying goes. Now maybe I'll get some answers. Of course, there's still the small matter of going up against Dio and his companion, neither of whom I think will be pushovers. But one thing at a time.

Naturally, the moment the watchmen began to start giving out those answers she was after, they were interrupted and she fought to keep from yelping at the sudden crackling voice that emerged from the man's little black...whatever it was in his ear. Damn this world and its artifice! I don't belong here! From the words spoken, however, she sensed some of her companions had gotten into trouble and perhaps they might know more of either Dio or the previous Travelers.

"I'll be back as soon as I can," she called over to Sumi and Reimu, "Don't wait up for me!" And with that, she headed off behind the watchman, bringing her staff up off her back in the same motion. She refrained from channeling magic into it, though. No sense in spooking the locals as they did her.

The scene they burst upon was sadly familiar. 2B she recognized vaguely as a face in the newcomers' ranks, but the other two Travelers - for such they could only be - weren't known to her. Are more of them popping out of the Tower even while the rest of us are out here? That could be very bad. Still, at least the response was obvious, even if what was happening wasn't.

"Inquisition! Stop!" she shouted, using her battlefield commander's voice and swearing internally at the reflexive phrasing. "Weapons down, all of you! Now!" Then, quieter, "There'll be no brawling here and you're going to explain what in the world is going on."

"Anyone give you any trouble at the door, just give me a shout and I'll serve them up an order of kickass," Yang commented to Sabrina. She finished pouring the orange juice into a blender, threw in some strawberries, and then after locking the lid back in place she let it rip.

"Nice bracelets, by the way," she said with a wink over the roar of the blender.

City Entrance

Surrounded. Not an ideal position, but he's managed through worse.

The Analander drew his sword and held it before him, its blade the length of the knife-wielding thug's torso. He sidestepped away from KITT and out from between the pair of thugs, turning to face the both of them. Eyes darting from one to the other, the Analander kept his sword at the ready - waiting to see who would strike first - until a newcomer shouted out.

"My sword stays," he said back, glancing towards the dark-skinned woman the shout belonged to. "I am under attack, after all."

2B - Street - Here we go again

The woman in black glanced down at KITT's sensor bar, one eyebrow raised a fraction in interest. She hadn't expected so an old-looking vehicle to have an artificial intelligence, but she wasn't about to complain.

"YoRHa No. 2 Type B." She said in reply, nodding. "2B for short, and yes, I'm from the tower."

At that point, the hooded man made the mistake of getting out of the impervious armoured vehicle to confront the criminals with a sword, while another familiar voice shouted from behind her. Taking advantage of the distraction, 2B stepped up to the knife-wielding human, ignoring her less than tactically adept ally for now, one hand darting out to snatch the knife out of the thug's fingers. Then, with deliberate care, she held the weapon between thumb and forefinger in each hand and folded the blade precisely in half, and then in four.

"You really don't want to do this." She dryly remarked, one hand going to her hip as she handed the knife back with the other.

Shrine

The old man seemed to calm down as he was reminded of this basic concept. "Oh, of course, how could I forget! Of course, of course, I'll donate everything I have on me!"

A few seconds would pass, enough for Sumireko to begin seeing the dollar signs. Then he took out his donation and passed it over to her. A single 500 Yen bill.

"So, I should be ok now, right?"

Over in the corner he had been standing in, Zazy raised an eyebrow at the amount of progress that was being made. All this time wasted for what was not even a fraction of their goal. He coughed loudly, clearly attempting to get Sumireko's attention and call her over to speak with him.

Street Fight

The sudden yelling took the goons by surprise, enough for the one to be disarmed by 2B. He looked down at his returned knife, and then back up at 2B. Near his belt, a large wet spot would begin to appear as he staggered backward, quaking with fear. The other goon, meanwhile, failing to see what she had done from his viewpoint and ignoring the words of the woman down the street, continued approaching, taking his large neon sign, about 4 feet tall, and started swinging it in an arc in front of him, aiming to strike the Analander.

The goon nearest the duo of Tanmura and Kashira seemed to only grow more enraged at Kashira's yelling.

"And who the fuck are you, bitch!? We don't give a shit about whatever dumbass religious cult you're a part of, if you're going to protect sick fucks like this guy, you can die with him!"

"I don't think so." Tanmura said as he stepped in front of her, drawing a badge out and holding it up. "Detective Tanmura, Tokyo Police. I'll ask only once, drop the weapon and put your hands-"

"Goddamned cops!" The goon suddenly yelled as he charged at Tanmura. He waited until the goon's bat was about to impact him, then ducked out of the way, grabbing his arm and twisting it in a single motion, sending him facefirst to the ground. He then yanked on said arm, a loud crack audible as the goon screamed and dropped the bat.

"Why do I always meet the stupid thugs?" He asked out loud.

KITT - Streets Near Entrance

"Noted," KITT said to 2B while observing the situation. At least some of the people here knew how to take care of themselves. It was such a pity, that the last true operator was decades removed, back when he was another KITT in another machine. "It is fortunate that you have arrived. I am only permitted to use lethal force when the life of my operator, or in this case, my passenger, is at risk. The situation would have needed to escalate drastically to meet such a requirement. I am now broadcasting a handshake message over multiple channels, please respond to one or more of the ones you are capable of utilizing so that we may communicate wirelessly if necessary." As he spoke, he tried to see who was responding in the more commonly-used wireless spectrums.

"As such, my weapons remain locked, and I am limited to less-than-practical methods of incapacitation."

Bar

"Try not to drink too much on the job. We don't want to owe any money atop of the amount we need to build up on and it'd just be poor showing if we're not professional enough to stay sober in this type of establishment." Taking up her position near the doorway and leaning near the wall in a way that implied she took the bouncer position, the fallen angel in street apparel snapped her fingers. A swirl of spinning dark haze and black feathers later, she was now in a more easy to move outfit that was a bit more fancy in general, as was fitting for a bouncer of a somewhat better than average bar. "I'll take care of the unmentionables should they crop up."

Sumireko, Shrine of Chump Change
Sumireko was ready to do everything short of rubbing her hands and cackling with greedy glee, just imagining how someone whose entire life was devoted to spending money on overpriced slot cars must be loaded! Shoot, he was in the gambling district anyways, he was probably about to go and drop all that...

...all that ¥500 in one place.

Huh. Sumireko didn't even know they made bills that small. In fact, as she cautiously pulled the note closer to her with one finger, this thing looked and felt really old...just how long had this guy been keeping this?

Just before she could snap out of her brief disappointment reverie, Zazsalamel did the honor for her. She snapped to attention after staring at the bill with empty eyes for a few seconds, before saying "Yes, the gods should be happy, even with...just one second."

She got up and looked at her considerably larger bodyguard, and said "It's a start, right?"

Yang - Club Elise

"No worries, blondie, I'll make you a virgin," Yang teased from behind the counter, turning off the blender. She poured out a little bit of the smoothie into a cocktail glass, before dumping the rest into a shaker. She shoved a strawberry and an orange slice onto the rim of the glass, garnished it with a mint and a little paper umbrella, then set it down on the counter.

"I'm just... practicing, for when we get customers. Gotta make sure I can do it, you know?" With that, she poured some liquor and ice into the shaker and started to shake it vigorously. Boy, being a bartender sure was easy when you were strong. Hell, she could already see the metal frosting over with just a few shakes.

Opening up the container and looking inside, she grimaced. People liked slushies, right? Crushed and cubed ice was way overrated. Forcing on a big grin, she started working on making a few glasses of the non-virgin drink.

Mimori Togo (Streets) - Unwanted Escalation

Well, that had escalated quickly... and horribly. At that point it would be very difficult to actually stop the fights... specially with the Tokyo law enforcement now involved. On the plus side, Togo had never had the chance to visit Tokyo before, which was actually a very imposing city. But... she couldn't afford to enjoy herself, unfortunately. She had to find a way to at least catch their attention. This was all no more than a simple misunderstanding, and she had to at least try to clear it up.

"KITT, please lower the driver's window. Fully."

With that command issued, she dragged herself to the driver's seat as fast as she could, and with her skill and prowess, and aiding herself with her hand, she unleashed a mighty and loud... whistle.

"Can all of you please stop for two minutes?!" she shrieked. "This is all one colossal misunderstanding, and I would really like to explain everything before more people get hurt."

Zazy (Shrine)-First person catchup

To say that I was displeased with the progress being made at this so called "Shrine" was an understatement.

Once I had dispersed the degenerates, a commonality that all ages seem to share in some form, I stepped to the side, allowing the two to work as Kashira was approached by a town guard. It would seem Dio had foolishly committed crimes out in the open, been spotted, and was now a wanted man. Odd, he had seemed to be more intelligent then that, from what I had observed of him. I wordlessly let the woman run off after the town watchman, and turned to see that in the time wasted speaking with a single man, they had managed to pry a fraction of such small value that it would not even be worth writing down here. And so, I summoned her to speak with me.

"A start, perhaps, if you intend to waste the next 10 years earning this money, And although I may be an immortal, I will not waste such a large amount of time on this task."

He signaled for her to look out at the empty grass behind the man and the almost empty street beyond.

"Consider. None a single soul has seen fit to so much as stop and look at us since you dragged this man here. As it stands now, we will get hardly any visitors. And with your seemingly young age, you will not be taken seriously by any in this land. This 500 Yen is virtually worthless to us. Yet, there is yet value that we may have out of this man. Rather then accept his money, turn him into an asset. Convince him that he must spread word of this shrine for all to hear."

"Of course, such a thing would have much more of an impact if he were to be granted some form of miracle to prove that this shrine is more then hastily constructed cardboard and marker, I would recommend returning some of his lost youth and vigor, granting him energy, which, conveniently, will make him more able to spread word of the shrine, but anything will work, so long as it serves to display this shrine's power."

There was another thing I had grown curious of during my observations. Dispite their claims of having actual power behind their acts, I had not noted any actual magic, divine or otherwise, being employed. The talkative one had managed to guess the man's somewhat strange hobby, but any fortune teller off the street worth their money has ways to do that without any actual magic. The tricks are known among the educated, they would ask seemingly meaningless questions to pick out facts about a person, they would observe how they dress, how they talk, the condition of their body, make statements that had many interpretations and could apply to a large number of people.

It was with this in mind, driven by pure academic curiosity, more then anything else, that I made my next statement, which I was relatively sure, based on what I had seen of her so far, would be taken as a challenge.

"Unless, of course, you are both mere charlatans who only seek to trick the uneducated and desperate for their funds after all?"

"Thanks and thanks, these bracelets are my favorite!" Sabrina said to Yang when she offered to help in case of rowdy customers, but it seemed Lucy decided to be the designated bouncer. "We may need to fill in for other jobs as needed, but I don't think I'd be able to play the bouncer role... at least, not without my... pets, and I think Akiyama would object to that."

"However, I could fill in as bartender if needed," Sabrina added, giving the same offer to help to Yang, before looking over at Lucy, "We should probably also be waiters as well, at least if we are going to be out on the floor."

Sumireko, Not a Charlaton, a Sumirekoton!
"First off, no, I think we're only gonna be here for a few weeks, maybe a couple months at most," Sumireko said with an informative finger raised. She didn't seem very bothered by his dark demeanor right now. "We've got everyone else working on this too, remember? I bet most of them are out trying to figure their plans still, while we've already got boots on the ground! That's a bonus."

"Second, most important one." She raised her hands in a cup, and trying to offer Zaz a view while still keeping it away from prying, uninformed eyes. "I totally can do magic, even besides fortune telling." Inside her hands, a few dozen miniature spheres of flame and water appeared and flit about in an intricate dance for a few seconds before she clapped and made them vanish. "That was PSI, not magic, but you get the idea. Fortune telling's totally real, 100%. Just because your world has some dumb hucksters doesn't mean I can't do it."

"About the sharing, of course he's gonna do it. Remember the magical picture stone or whatever I called it, back a while ago? Everyone's got one, and they use it to share information about anything that happens to them. Literally anything. People take pictures of their food and act like everyone cares, for crying out loud! Wouldn't this be an even bigger thing than having a burger and some fries?"

She'd take out her phone right now and start showing him pictures of her mother's endless photos of her cats, but somehow she doubted she'd find her account here...

"Lastly, look who's talking. With your seemingly dark skin, you're probably the only black guy in this entire district. A lot of people hate foreigners, and you're even more exotic to them. No offense."

Nightliife

Quirking an eyebrow at the 'blondie' comment while gazing at Yang's own sunbeam hued locks in question, the Lord of the Fallen simply let out a dry chuckle before taking the drink. "Fine, I'll accept your charity this time." Sipping at the nonalcoholic beverage and deeming it passable, the stray former Heavenly servant then looked at Sabrina for a moment before giving a sigh. "I'll help serve at least. I'm not made out for being a hostess."

Though she was a temptress through and through, that was only when things more valuable than human currency were proffered, such as souls and whatnot. The best way to drag evil to a place they belong was entrapment, really. A binding contract had no wiggle room for escaping their just desserts. Smiling slightly at the thought of such devilish acts, the Monster let out a small chuckle.

These thugs really did seem to be the bottom of the barrel. One of them even thought a sign was an adequate weapon! The Analander rolled under the thug's wide arc, springing back up onto his feet once the sign cleared over him. Keeping his distance, the Analander jabbed his sword forward, hoping to stab at the man's chest.

"You can tell them the truth if you wish!" He called to the girl. "If you think it to be a believable alternative for these thugs!"

Kashira Lavellan - Street Fight - By the Grace of the Dalish

"I know the feeling," she grumbled to the watchman. Every time. Every godsdamned time they never just listen! But there was no time for further speech, as the other Climber was about to bring swords into the matter. Only her magic could prevent things from coming to blood. She made the decision without hesitation and in that act, was relieved.

Magic crackled from her hands and all the combatants were shrouded in a faint greenish cloak, ensuring that at least the next few strikes of any weapon or magic would be to no effect. And since she might as well go all the way with that, she lit up her staff and pounded it on the ground, causing a brief burst of fire to erupt from its tip.

"I said enough! That means you with the sword, too! Weapons down!"

Qrow - ; Arena

Damn. Guy didn't even flinch. He had to be good at predicting a weapon's movements, even with one as unconventionally designed as a scythe.

On the other hand, maybe he wasn't. Because of the scythe's shape, attempting to strike Qrow mid-swing wasn't as effective as it would be with a sword. You see, the pole was still protecting the front of Qrow, and Taiga's upwards swing smashed right off of it.

It rang out with a resonant tone, as Qrow raised an eyebrow at the man. Rather than reset his grip or the position of the scythe, Qrow simply thumbed a button, and with a whirr, the scythe's blade flipped 180 degrees, once again facing Taiga.

Perks of a double-edged scythe.

Qrow swung his scythe again, this time just plainly aiming to hit Taiga. If he dodged, it took the heat off him. If not...

He really hoped someone on this team had healing powers, because Qrow knew experience that disembowelment was not a pretty way to die.

Zazy (Shrine)-Unimpressed

I glared down at the girl as she made some comment about my skin color scaring people away.

"Why do you think I have stood in the shadows until now? And as for your claims that he will share this anyway, you have no guarantee of that. Even if you do, if you give him a reason to put forth the utmost effort in drawing people to our shrine, then he will work that much harder to bring them to us. Hopefully people with larger amounts of currency. There is no reason to accept this mere 500 Yen when he can provide much more wealth in the long run, given the proper "encouragement".

Arena

The counter strike would clang off of his bat as he blocked the blow by swinging at the weapon as it came. Once done, he would do something unexpected. He would drop his weapon, and arms raised, attempt to reach forward and physically grab Qrow's scythe and tear it out of his hands. If he was successful in this, he would toss the weapon behind him to clang off the opposite cage wall, and then run forward, attempting to charge him, grab him and drive him into the wall to begin beating on him.

Club

Time passed, and the club opened for business. Customers would file in at a steady rate, and soon enough, the Climbers would find themselves very busy. Much of the actual work of dealing with customers was dealt with by the various girls of the club, and it was down to the climbers to ensure things kept running.

Of course, some things would demand attention. Firstly, whoever was showing customers to their seats would find a young, scawny nerd with glasses and a heavy looking backpack on making a request outside of the norm.

"Excuse me, yes, I'd, erm, like to request a specific girl. That one, over there."

He would point toward Yang, over at the bar counter, where she was no doubt busy making a drink or something.

"is, er, is that possible? I have money, I can pay whatever the fee is, I'll even sit at the bar if I have to rather then a booth."

At one table, a man was raising his hand for a waiter.

"Waiter, waiter! I want a grilled tuna fish, on the double!"

"But, sir!" The girl next to him said. "I told you already, we don't serve that here!"

"Quiet, you!" He said. "The customer is always right, and I want a Grilled Tuna! Where's that damned waiter?"

Over at another table, a very red faced man, clearly drunk and angry, with two girls rather then one on his sides, was yelling.

"I want to speak to a manager! Get me a manager! I am a paying customer, and I demand to be served at once!"

"I'm terribly sorry, sir." One girl said. "We can't allow you to drink anymore, it's the law, you're too drunk."

"Drunk! You bitch, I'm not drunk!" The clearly drunk man yelled. "I demand to speak to a manager!"

Street Fight

The man facefirst on the ground was handcuffed by Tanimura, who then stood back up, dusting himself off. As the man struck by the sword fell, yelling and gripping the area he had been stuck in, he approached the Analander.

"Alright, tough guy. Drop the weapon and turn around, he ain't getting back up anytime soon, and I'll deal with him if he does."

He would wait for him to turn, then be faced with Tanimura's police badge, which he raised up to show him.

"Detective Tanimura, with the Tokyo Police Department. You want to explain to me what you're doing with an armored police car that's over 20 years out of date that has a teenage schoolgirl in the passenger seat?"

Veronica, Batting Center

As Majima's attacks came from all directions Veronica spun and twirled like a ballerina to intercept each strike, spinning round and round with easy grace, catching each blow and knocking them aside.

"If you'll permit a few words of advice?"

Veronica lunged forwards fast, her knives flickering in and out, feinting low and landing high, lashing out at stomach, chest and eyes.

"You're fast, but you don't have discipline. Hard to predict, but clumsy. Like a butcher carving a piece of meat."

Sabrina, Dealing With Grilled Tuna Fish Guy

Already there seem to be problems starting with one man wanting to talk with Yang like she was one of the girls, one man who was obviously too drunk and needed to be escorted out post haste and possibly violently... and then there was Grilled Tuna Fish Guy. Apparently he thought this place was a Smile Burger and not a bar that was limited to bar items like drinks, pretzels, nuts and ice. Sabrina picked up a menu and after making absolutely sure there was not a single mention of tuna on it, walked over to Grilled Tuna Fish Guy.

"What is the problem here?" Sabrina asked, playing dumb with Grilled Tuna Fish Guy.
