Youkai Shoujo - Monsuga

So, somebody in the Monster Musume thread recommended this to me, and I saw that it didn't have a forum thread yet, so I figured I'd make one. I've only read the first three chapters so far, but it's already given me a couple of "what the crap?" moments.

It's been pretty entertaining so far, though I'm not sure exactly where the overarching plot is heading. In particular I have no clue what Nagi is up to or why the guy decided it wasn't weird that she was tagging along. Guess we'll see where this goes.

Being up to date with the series, this series goes into some REALLY fucking weird directions.

Given that it already veers into weird territory in like, the first two chapters, I can only imagine what lays in wait.

FYI I'm up to the bit where the kappa doll is running around cutting everybody's clothes up.

I can't wait for you to get to the peeping tom story arc.

Okay, so now we've got "wall girl" and also the kappa doll is hanging around for the time being. Also a spider girl who's obsessed with video games. She's invited the guy back to her place, which is almost certainly not going to result in him getting laid, but probably attacked in some fashion. Also, how does he not realize that Rokka totally wants to jump his bones?

Typical anime/manga protagonist syndrome.

And now the Spider girl is going to try to eat him (called it) though they really went up to the wire there with the content before she attacked.

Also, I started a Sandbox page for the series. I figured it would be easier to put something decent looking together before putting up the actual page. Though you're further along than me so you can add more accurate stuff.

EDIT: Aaaaand Rokka just fused with Yatsuki and turned into a robot arm. What the fuck is going on?

This is what I meant when I said it was similar to 12Beast, by the way.

Haven't read 12Beast, so I have no idea how accurate that comparison is.

Also damn that soul-eating thing with the holes on his body is creepy as hell.

EDIT: And now he's fighting the Kaki-Man again. Their attempt at doing the fusion thing again almost made me burst out laughing.

Read to chapter 46.5 so far. Really enjoyed it. Have to say I'm still waiting for more of the backstory to be revealed, but I suppose that'll be a slow burn regardless.

I'm up to around chapter 28. So now we have a lesbian kappa. I must say I'm glad that they just gave up on The Masquerade as far as Moru is concerned and let her in on the whole youkai thing. It would've been a bit of a chore if they had to keep dancing around it whenever she was around.

And also there's apparently a pair of possessed panties floating around now. I don't know what the author is smoking.

Read a few more chapters. "Pantyhole-chan" is basically the worst nickname ever.

EDIT: And I guess it was inevitable that a nekomata would show up at some point.

You shut your mouth, Nia is the best character.

I never said it was a bad thing.

Also shit has most definitely gotten real. Hanako's general concept really reminds me of Evangeline. Though the "young puppetmaster girl" thing is really where the similarities end.

EDIT: Holy fuck Nia's backstory is dark. This whole thing is like Mood Whiplash: the series.

And now there's some sort of weird oneshot chapter where the main character looks different and works at the school and is two years older for some reason? Normally I'd chalk it up to the oneshot-ness, but there's also the implication of some larger plot now with people sitting and watching, so I'm curious about whether this gets followed up on or if it's some sort of Aborted Arc.

I think that's the one-shot prototype. Like how My Hero Academia had one where Midoriya was a grown man who worked for a company that sold hero gadgets.

That's sort of what I figured. It was just weird that it popped up like in the middle of the story.

EDIT: Okay, the main plotline has finally appeared. Also, holy crap that Mood Whiplash.

EDIT 2: Wow, the perverted high school teacher is named Kimura. There's no way that's a coincidence.

EDIT 3: Well, the MC has unlocked a new form to fight skateboard kid. And it's hilarious.

EDIT 4: I have finally caught up and Nagi is basically the best. She's a freaking Pokemon trainer or something.

I'll have to take a look sometime, yeah. And the main plotline is surprisingly solid so far.

Icchan's Equip mode is about as effective as expected. Now that's what I call a Stone Wall.

Which should totally go on the character sheet if we ever get it up and running.

I'm mainly curious about what kind of upgrades he'll get from the other girls. Nia would probably give him either some sort of Wolverine claw or maybe a speed boost or something. Not sure what Kirue would turn into.

I just hope that eventually he learns to do multiple fusions at once and it turns into a Voltron reference.

Hime Will probably provide spider legs, so if Nia turns into some big claw thing on his left arm we'll have a fairly effective set to combine effectively.

Also did anyone catch that comment a few chapters back that Kaki is apparently freakishly strong for his species?

So his final form would basically be a spider tank?
