We Have All Been Genderflipped 2.0

Erika cringed upon hearing the word door from Nina. "I know I had my occasional bit of stress with doors, but to the point of absolutely detesting them?" She noted, looking a bit bothered. "This most certainly does not sound like a friendly face to me..." After a brief moment of silence, she then asked: "What shall we do about this 'visitor'? Hunt them down?" She then stopped, looking for input from others on a suggested course of action with the door-destructive visitor Nina spoke of.

"We'll need to be prepared, in case of combat." Eisen replies somewhat nervously, before shrugging. She wasn't the sort to fight at all, since her powers... weren't exactly good for combat.

"I'm not a fighter, though. I can't even throw a good punch."

She then looks around the room, seeing the weapons, relieved that there was somebody who could protect her. "But I'm sure some of you can."

And Kit's claws return. "Well, electronics may not be my specialty." Sekhmet says. "But I know a bit about combat." Her ears move as she tries to listen for the intruder.

If it wasn't Alexa, then we have an intruder. Bending down, Emily grabs the biggest chunk of door she can see. Standing back up, she begins to move slowly toward the door.

"...Hm." She's taking a while..

Mikaela starts humming something as she waits. She looks to Daydre and the two workers and just shrugs.

"Oh, that's good. This guy? This is... uh. Son of a bitch, this is awkward. What's your name, dude?"

"A-anyway, Alexa, have you seen or heard anything unusual? Besides, you know..."

"I got a little in ways of combat," she says as she pumps her arms and poses firmly and confidently. Well, it would be a lie, but again, martial arts training: neglected like the bastard daughter of a dead beat. Plus, two weeks of not having to beat the crap out of enemies or allies has supplied another heaping of atrophy to her abilities. Oh, well, at least there's plenty of furniture and furniture legs to go about; she wouldn't mind getting a little rough if she had to.

As attentive to her surroundings as she can be, she moves away from the group, taking extra care to quiet her footsteps. Downstairs, that's gotta be where it is; haven't seen anyone else up here so far, plus I bet we would've heard whatever Nina picked up a lot quicker. She starts heading for the stairwell.

"Karel, Karel Verona. But please, call me Koi."

He blushes just a tad at being called handsome, really wishing he were out of his tail for once. He looks rather uncomfortable being carried.

"Nice to meet you, Koi. Alexa Sturmwind's the name. First time I've seen an actual merman.", Alexa replies. "And no, Ada, I haven't seen anything too unusual lately."

"There's probably a good reason for that, most of us prefer to keep our tails still attached to our bodies."

He lets out a small chuckle despite the graveness of the statement.

"None the less, always a good day to meet someone new. So um.....how are we gonna resolve the break in issue exactly? I'm pretty sure the lovely lady holding me is getting tired of carrying all this weight."

Aside from the flirtatious advances from two members of the party, thunder still rumbled outside, and lightning lit up the windows. The sounds heard a second ago were no longer present, but it was hard to hear over all the inclement weather outside.

Emily managed to find a nice, stake-sized piece of wood among the wreckage.

Otherwise, Things continued as normal at Ferrus'. The day was winding down and the staff looked visibly relieved that most of their customers had gone home by this point.

"So I guess we will have to hunt somebody. Been a bit of a time...", Nina said in a somber tone as she takes out her handles, affixing them side by side around the belt she had procured from her hands. She stepped out soon after, heading for the stairs, her steps appropriately heavy.

Eisen follows Nina out, noticing that Joanna had already disappeared. "Well, Jo's pretty fast. Anyway, I'll have to stick with you guys, in case that intruder's a threat."

Being in the proximity of somebody with weapons felt oddly safe this time as Eisen cautiously examined her surroundings. At least Nina was way more of a friendly person than... somebody who broke down a damn door.

Hm, I haven't heard Aqua in a while. Daydre idly looks around to make sure Aqua's still with them.

Mikaela, still on hold, looks for Aquarius as well.

Konk and Day would soon hear Aquarius yell out from a few rows over, followed by the clanging sounds of a ton of metal hitting the ground. Only a loud " I'm okay!" a few moments later showed that Aqua hadn't been hurt by... whatever the heck just happened.

Mikaela raises one eyebrow at the display before her.

".. Uh.. Are you sure about that?" Daydre looks over nervously.

Erika would soon follow suit in following Nina, wondering about what might have a vendetta against doors. "Though I have a couple things that could give me an edge in combat... It's not quite my style to plain out fight in the open, unless I absolutely have to. Besides, my advantages will be moot if I was in combat against machines." Erika stated with a shudder.

Sekhmet follows Nina also. "I hope we don't end up fighting a machine. None of my weapons at the moment are capable of damaging something made of a strong metal."

Ada gets a little red in the face. Lovely... lady? He just called me lovely! And a lady! What...? "Well, er... I think there'd be towelettes in the kitchen. I'd best get you on your feet soon..."

She walks over, pushes open the door with her shoulder and lays Koi down on the table. She then goes over to where the little hand towels are hung and grabs a big handful.

The kitchen is a wreck. The cupboards have been demolished and everything has been scattered about. It's a wonder that the table is in good enough condition as it is. The noises you could hear earlier grew louder as you approached, and now seem to be coming from the back of the kitchen; towards the freezer.

Uh. On second thought- Ada immediately grabbed Koi, picked him up again, kicked the kitchen door open and ran out, mumbling the words "Nope, nopenopenopenopenope, fuck that..." under her breath.

"Guys, weird noises in the kitchen. Y'all are prolly more well-equipped than I am to check it out..."

Running down the steps, Joanna then stops on the edge of the bottom step, bracing herself against the wall. The noises she could faintly catch earlier are now, well, right by her goddamn ear. Stepping over towards the kitchen door and peering inside—well, no need to repeat it.

Getting on her knees, she sticks her head further into the kitchen to see what the hell is going on.
