I... honestly never found horses that useful. I only really use them for the sidequests that mandate them.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! They're nice to have around in a pinch, but, in a game as vertically-minded as this, they're just largely impractical to keep around (save for the bridle that enables you to teleport them, but, even then, the Master Cycle Zero can be summoned anywhere, anyway).

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805So, I beat a blue Lynel today (the one with about 3000 hp anyway). It took Stasis+, riding them and Urbosa's Fury.
Wake me up at your own risk. You don't see one of those every day. Get far enough along in the game, and they're all replaced with Silver Lynels (or Gold, if you're playing Master Mode).
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Except the one on Shatterback Point, of course.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakThe ones in the gatehouses of Hyrule Castle also wont level.
They also never drop loot. I hate them.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youRight. Went back to Korok seed hunting. Also found two new Talluses. One in a spot called the Deya village ruins (it's Deya something), which gave me a bit of trouble because it's sweet spot wasn't right on top of it's head, meaning I had to use bomb arrows because it was tough to get to by climbing), and another near an abandoned farm in-between Batrea Lake and South Nabi Lake), who I didn't fight because I didn't have a hammer.
Only found one seed, because the next few on the list were ones I already had, and the next one that I didn't get after those ones was in a part of the map where I haven't activated a tower yet, even though it's supposed to be the Dueling peaks area (it's near a spot called the Popla Foothills).
Tried riding a horse for the first time. It's pretty fun, especially with one you've already mastered. I'm gonna keep it in mind for when I want to go places quickly. Still need to try fighting on them though
One Strip! One Strip! So, any advice on dealing with Rudania and the boss inside?
Wake me up at your own risk.Wear your fireproof gear
Heart of StoneFireblight is easy. When he starts sucking everything up towards him to charge up a fireball, feed him a bomb.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I think the suggestion is that each of the runes has one Blight Ganon that will shift the battle in your favor. Cryonis is useful against Waterblight, round bombs help against Fireblight, and Magnesis helps greatly against Thunderblight. Presumably, logic would suggest that Stasis would thus help against Windblight, but I honestly wouldn't know how; I was already powerful enough when I took that one on that I just mashed it (I did Windblight last, which is apparently the complete opposite of what most people suggest).
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Random question:
I know horses can die, but if you want to explore a new place, as in, you haven't gotten to the tower there yet or anything, would you recommend using them, and if it dies, is it a big deal, or can you just replace it with something else and not worry about it?
One Strip! One Strip!Don't worry there is a way to resurrect dead horses, it's practically free even. Also unless you have a horse with 5 stars in anything you can just grab a new one.
Oh. Cool. Then I should just get to it then. Plus, even though it's apparently not a big issue, I do want to get better at fighting while riding a horse.
oh yeah. You must be talking about that Lord of the mountain or whatever dude you guys brought up before...I still haven't met him yet. I should get on that.
One Strip! One Strip! The Lord of the Mountain is actually not the NPC that resurrects your horses, its a ...errr... "special" fairy that lives in the central south region that is behind the Hylia bridge. Basically all horse related content is in that area.

I've got nearly 500 hours in this game between my original Normal Mode save and my current Master Mode run, and, in all that time, I've never once bothered to seek out the Lord of the Mountain.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I did it once just out of curiosity.
I also found out that it takes three Guardian laser blasts to kill it, because I intentionally declined to zig-zag to throw off their aim.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpPhew. Due to my new decision to try riding horses, I made my way through Faron to the Lakeside Stable, and then to Lurelin (sp) village.
T'was fun. I'm working on getting the shrine in the latter, and then I'll see about getting the tower. After that, I'm heading back to the Dueling peaks area for more Korok seeds.
I think I'm finally overcoming my worry about this game. At this point, I just gotta properly prepare and I feel good about travelling. Now I gotta focus on getting more weapon slots, and then better weapons...and armour too. Can't forget that.
One Strip! One Strip!Double Post:
Just activated the Tower for the Area with the Lakeside Stable and Lurelin village.
It's not actually the area I was looking for though, so I'll get that later, but still, that's some good progress.
One Strip! One Strip! That's the tower that has a bunch of Thunder Wizzrobes dancing around the base, right? Ugh, I think that tower annoyed me more than any other.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. So, got the Master Sword, and right now I'm beating random shrines and finding all the memories.
Wake me up at your own risk.
Hmm... how much needs to be set on fire for an updraft? Because several Lynels aren't in a position to get to easily with horses, but I could easily see catching some air and shooting at them from above to pull off something similar.
