As should be clear from the trope name, this is a sci-fi (or Time Travel) trope where the relative price of money is ridiculous. Zimbabwe is a contemporary country, which makes it an example of Ridiculous Exchange Rates and not this trope.

Opened.

I also looked at Ridiculous Exchange Rates' image, and... the image on Ridiculous Future Inflation can serve RER better than that page's current, which borders on JAFAAC due to no comparison.

Sounds like a good idea.

Panel 3 from this might work as a replacement, but how obviously is it from the future?

I think it could work at a pinch.

The holographic screen turning off during the third panel is enough to justify a future setting. So that can work. [tup]

[down] I'm down with that too.

Actually, combine panel 1 and 3 and it would be perfectly clear and demonstrative of this trope.

Yup, those two panels will convey the trope quite well, and I'm for the switch on Ridiculous Exchange Rates (the current is also a bit grainy, to boot).

Ok, here's the comic cropped to include only those two panels:

Calling it. The new pic's swapped in and tagged. Caption?

Also, are we going to put the old pic on Ridiculous Exchange Rates as was suggested earlier? I'm down with it.
