Hey.I hated it growing up, but in college, I would rather do homework than to be graded solely on tests. Lol.
Depending on the class, it could go anywhere from "mildly enjoyable" (assignments where I was allowed to flex my external talents, like Photoshop/creative writing) to "the bane of my existence" (feckin' MATH, and then this one political science class I dropped out of last semester because it made me feel like death approached any time I did anything related to it).
But yeah. I don't hate it unerringly because not all homework is created equal.
oh, that's why I need this binary mind // ⌘Indeed. Some assignments require you to push your mental limits while others are a walk in the park.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."I have summer reading, I have for the past 3 years. That's the sucky thing about having no focus whatsoever. You just can't DO the work.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdAw, but summer reading tends to expose you to some great works of literature. It probably would've been years before I'd read To Kill A Mockingbird if I didn't have it for summer reading in high school. That book's great. Still need to read Go Set a Watchman, since I got it a while back...though I read up on the genesis of that book getting published, and it seemed to point to some really shady stuff with Harper Lee's attorney.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I loved homework in upper secondary. I felt that it encouraged me to read and learn on my own terms more than tests ever did. I also rather enjoyed the way essays and presentations gave me the chance to try and be as funny/artistic as I wanted and still earn top marks as long as I showed the effort and presented everything in a coherent manner. Heck, even take-home papers for Maths and Physics allowed me to learn to tackle the problems with a relaxed mind and develop multi-pronged approaches that ended up helping me immensely in actual tests. Doing group projects also helped my transition from an introverted newcomer into a legit popular kid, so there's that.
Of course, now I'm lucky to get more than 2-3 tests per course. Tutorial papers don't feel nearly as rewarding, either. Sigh.
Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)I never liked doing homework as a kid because it interfered with the fun things I wanted to do. The homework would be too hard or too easy. I hated staying up until almost midnight trying to finish.
Well, I would like the homework if I had focus
But I don't
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI like a good writing assignment, get me some practice in. Anything else is a chore that I'd gladly just google for answers.
Try imagining how far the universe extends! Keep thinking about it until you go insane.
One test, 100% of the grade. Learn to love it.
