Was the lion from the Wizard of Oz ever actually royalty? Cause I don't remember him being such.
In the books, he was crowned the king of the forest beasts after killing a giant spider IIRC. Of course, then Ozma appeared and he became her steed/bodyguard instead.

Yeah, I hit up the other wiki and it confirmed it. Still, I'd say that just showing a lion wearing a crown isn't the best illustration of the trope. The one in #2 is fairly good, I'll admit.
Anyway, since no one seems to object to pulling the current image, I'll do so later today.

It's a good pic, but I think the clarity and sharp colors of 9 make it pop more as a page pic...2 is solid Image Links material for me.

Do you think this is enough consensus to move ahead, or we need a crowner?
Also, any ideas for the image caption? I don't want to use the old one, since it runs counter to the image source (the goal in Armello is to either kill the king or set yourself up to become the next ruler).

Very minor nitpick, but the Reynard cycle pic wasn't in my OP. 
I'm sort of leaning towards something referencing 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King'. A couple of lines from that song include "I'm gonna be a mighty king/so enemies beware" and "I'm gonna be the mane event/like no king was before", so maybe a nod to one of those? Not necessarily the full quote in each case, of course: for example, we could do "The mane event, like no king was before".

No consensus on a caption; locking up.
Well, the current image has got the website the pic is from marked in the bottom corner, which is a no-no (and indicates an image possibly bound by copyright, which we can't use). So at the very least, the current one needs pulling.
As a replacement, I'd like to suggest a cropped/edited version of this image
(the title screen of VideoGame.Armello), which seems to showcase the "position of authority" aspect better. But I'm open to other ideas, if they come of as even more representative of the trope. So...thoughts?
