I have had Eddie for about 6 years now, but every now and then I'm still just stoked that I have a cat. I always wanted a cat. Eddie is my cat.

He's a big weird grump who bites me sometimes, but I love him and he is my good cat.

That is how I feel about Dusty a lot of the time. I'll just be watching her play or sleep or something and I'll think "that little furry living creature is mine, how lucky am I?"

I have news about Curtis, the mouser at the farm shop near me.

The bad news is that he got into the habit of breaking open the pet food bags at night, costing them money.

The good news is that Curtis has now found a new home! I hope he will be very happy.

I'll still miss him and his crooked tail, though.

Aw, I hope he enjoys his new home, though. :3

I might get 3 cats soon. All to myself Meaning I need to do all of the duties because my stepmom is allergic to them.

I've been watching it for like... over an hour and a half straight now and it's so cute.

Although I'm not crazy, I still hate people and I'm a scientist so I have that.

So, I was walking down to tescos on an errand and suddenly this cat I've only seen once or twice runs up to me meowing and starts rubbing themselves all over my legs and feet. They wouldn't stop so I had to leave them after a while. They even tried to follow me a bit. The same thing happened on the way back, but on the other side of the road and another cat staring at me through a window.

If I had a hairless cat, I would name it "Bertha" or "Ethel" or "Gertrude" and dress her in old lady clothes.

Awwwww.

If I had a hairless cat I'd knit it so many little kitty sweaters.

I have 4 cats, by the way. Dirty is a Cool Old Lady, Rat is a Action Girl, Twewee is annoying, and Vicki is the youngest and is so fluffy.

Started taking Eddie for walks around the yard on a harness. Eddie is a strictly inside cat, due to a past run-in with a car. He is enjoying his walks quite a lot.

Well, I say "walk", it's more like "supervised exploration", but eh. He has fun.

That sounds so cute! My dad used to sort of do that with one of our cats we used to have. She'd follow him around outside and play in the grass, and then come running back in when called.

The two downsides of this were 1) she liked to eat grass outside and throw up when she got back inside and 2) she had to be given the dreaded flea baths (during which she made the WEIRDEST noises I have ever heard come from a cat).

My cat loves harness time. Of course I can only take her out when it's reasonably warm, since she's a Cornish Rex, and it gets too cold here for her to go outside

Eddie is enjoying harness time, but I'm not sure if he's used to it yet. He sticks petty close to me and rubs up on me more than usual. He's usually pretty bold but I guess as he gets more familiar with the whole procedure he'll get braver.

I don't think Dusty would particularly enjoy harness time. She hasn't experienced much desire to go outside though, since she's been raised as an indoor-only cat in an upstairs apartment.

I did decide to introduce her to snow last winter though; I brought a dish outside and put some snow in it and brought it in to her. She pawed at it a bit and didn't seem to know what to make of it.

What's everyone's kittys' current favorite toys? Dusty's are this pickle kick toy (it's got catnip and crinkly stuff in it for added fun) and soap bubbles. She even comes over and meows at me for soap bubbles.

Got Velveteen a new wand toy recently, which she likes so much she'll drag it around in her mouth when I'm not using it
