Dewey Defeats Truman and Failed Future Forecast both describe the same trope: a story that takes place sometime in the future becomes inaccurate as that period in time passes, inadvertently becoming Alternate History fiction in the process.
Additionally, the former has a rather obscure name. Thoughts?
