Redux of the Age of Heroes: Sign Ups

A dimension-traveling character who is not native to this dimension.

• Name: Arnavel Ruyth
• Age: 27
• Race: Elf
• Appearance: 6'7", with light blond hair and sapphire eyes. He has two small holsters on the sides of his waists, and is wearing slightly tattered clothes with a light green hat and dark red cloak
• Class: Duelist
• Weapon: Two small energy pistols named "Antler" and "Thorn", each with Arnavels family insignia, a ruby colored oak tree with a leaf in the middle of the trunk. They don't have ammunition as they drain from the mana/energy/whatever word for the magic is source of the user, but I'm thinking they're modeled after this pistol[1]◊ because I think it looks good.
• Backstory: Born into a poor family, Arnavel has always wanted to aspire to be "something", to be recongized. As soon as he ventured out of his home, he started to become a sort of Robin Hood. He would give food and money to any race which was down on its luck. After doing this for a year, Arnavel decided that this isn't enough to be recognized. He decided to enter one of the bigger city's, Gerict, hearing of the palaces and riches there. He was soon arrested, caught trying to steal some food from a small lord. After a month, Arnavel escaped the prison, a wanted man. Before he fled the city, he bought two pistols and a dark red cloak. He now travels the lands, looking for a way to earn recognition while practicing gunplay.
• Personality: Naive and innocent, but proud. Arnavel will joke and talk whenever it seems appropriate. He is however, serious when in a fight, except when it's some weak grunt. Arnavel will not cooperate friendly with anyone of nobility, though. He will usually not kill, not because he dosen't like to but more to have the other humiliated. But if someone royally pisses him off, he will not stop until it is dead. Worshiper of Makim and belives that luck is a vital part in life.

Ah, then no, please no multi-dimensional characters. And yes this is still happening, I just got caught up with work and wasn't able to check this thread until recently.

Also we have six complete character sheets, meaning there is just one more character that either needs to be filled out or added. Or maybe something like March 10th is the last day to sign up, if there are still only six people then we just play with six. Everyone cool with that?

That being said the open 7th spot has yet to be filled out and the person who posted has left the character sheet almost all blank, so that spot is still open until it is filled.

Here's my SU

• Name: Maze

• Age: 22

• Race: Merfolk

• Appearance: For a merfolk, Maze looks extremely human. The only tells are his gills and his sharp, shark-like teeth. Otherwise, Maze is indistinguishable from a human. He has somewhat long red hair, and he's in great shape. Swimming for 20 years straight will do that. He's pretty tall, at 6'4, and his body has a lot of scars on it from all the fights he's been in. Behold◊

• Class: Soldier

• Weapon: Maze, like many Soldiers, fights by channeling magic through his own body. He combines magic and his own physical might to turn himself into a living weapon. His main method of attack is the ability to extrude blades from his arms and hands. With a flick of his wrist, a blade made of bone will sprout from his arms. This hurts. A lot. But due to his healing factor (More on this later), the wound heals quickly, and it leaves him with extremely sharp weapons built in. He can alter the shape, and make them as large as he wants, though bigger blades are obviously heavier. These weapons are technically magitech, and are thus extremely durable. The weapons are very sharp, and can cut through most forms of armor if Maze swings them particularly hard.

• Maze also has a healing factor that lets him recover from wounds much faster. This, combined with his speed he gets from his race, compensates for the fact that he's fairly lightly armored most of the time. Smaller wounds, such as small cuts, heal within seconds. He can heal bigger wounds from swords or axes in a few minutes, and broken bones will set themselves in about an hour. If he gets a limb or something chopped off, it won't grow back. But if he can find the severed member within about a minute, and hold it to the stump by sewing or taping it on, it will reattach himself after two or three days, though regaining full mobility will need about a week.

• Backstory: Maze was born to a tribe of Merfolk that valued martial proficiency a lot. They believe that the world will end in a great war, and the greatest warriors will inherit the world as gods. Maze was never sure he believed it, but if it's true, he wants to make sure he's the strongest fighter alive. Ever since he was a child, he trained as a Soldier. His mother was a fierce warrior that died fighting a sea beast. Despite his father's protests, he joined groups of warriors that went off to fight sea monsters at 17. And of course he was gravely wounded. However, it just so happened that a merfolk Alchemist that understood the workings of Magitech was in town. Many warriors had gotten such treatments, and Maze's father spent every penny they had to get Maze the treatment that would save his life.

• Maze was under the knife for 12 hours. When he awoke, he watched his wounds heal before his eyes. He also had the ability to use magic to alter his body. He spent the next few years training to become the greatest warrior in his tribe. And when he did that at 19, he emerged from the sea, intent on becoming the greatest fighter in the world.

• Personality: Maze was raised in a society that believed heavily in survival of the fittest, and the ultimate virtue of strength. He thus believes that morals are decided by those who are strongest, and doesn't think twice about killing people if it will suit his ends. He won't go around murdering people for no reason, but if he thinks he can solve a problem at the edge of his blades, he'll take it. That said, if he thinks that someone has the drive to become stronger and rise above their station, he'll try to help them do it, and might even spare someone so he can have a good fight later.

• Despite having a worldview many would consider "Evil", he's fairly affable if he's not been wronged. He likes puns and bad jokes, and he's quite the gourmand. He is also somewhat obsessed with weapons. Despite mostly using the ones in his arms, he has an interest in guns and chainswords. He hasn't had much chance to learn about it, but he also has a lot of interest in philosophy and morality.

• In line with his belief that morals and ethics are defined by those with power, Maze's ambition is to become the mightiest warrior in the world and right the ills of society. He finds slavery abhorrent, as it stops people from bettering themselves. He also believes that warriors should be allowed dignity, no matter which side they are on, and is disgusted by torture.
