A snowball's chance in Development Hell.
"We be we baby!"x4
Yeah, funny thing about that. The circus/ theatrical outfits on which Superman's costume is based (well, on which the costuming in Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon were based, which is where the inspiration for Superman's costume came from) had trunks for that very reason. A man in just a leotard tends to...stand out. Plus the color breaks up the unrelieved blue of the suit.
...Ouch.
x4 The day that will come back is the day DCEU Superman starts to smile.
The only way it will work is if this show is proven popular with the viewers and Cartoon Network start seeing a profit made in action oriented shows. The former will most likely happen, I'm not so sure with the latter seeing how the last DC Nation saw most of the shows being reruns of Teen Titans Go

x3 Makes me wonder why they scrapped the trunks for the New 52 then, guess they didn't know the reason for them. While I admit the trunks may look a bit weird with the new design, a different color would've been much more suited than the blue in the crotch area. Maybe a different color for the pants. The red belt just doesn't separate it enough.
Anyways, how much of the Justice League do you think we'll see throughout the show? Besides the mains of course.
Guess I'm one of the few people that didn't mind the New 52 redesign.
and Agree with both. I don't mean mind the new 52 design but the red belt just doesn't complement Superman's design. I always prefer his belt yellow.
And as far as members appearing, hopefully it include the other 4 founding members of the Justice League (especially Martian Manhunter who is repeatedly demoted to extra for membership in the league).
I didn't mind the basics of the New 52 design, but I agree about the red belt bit. It they had to get rid of the trunks, I'd've preferred one with the traditional "m" topped boots and without all the stupid armor.
Don't know why they kept feeling the need to screw with the "S" though. I'm glad it's back to it's most familiar design.

I actually don't mind the armour.
I mean, remember when his costume was made out of the blanket from Krypton, and it was said that anything from Krypton that was bathed in yellow Sunlight became invulnerable to explain why his costume could withstand all the shit it did?
Well, I consider the armour an improved version of that. Just have been that it's advanced kryptonian fibres that are as flexible as any earth clothing, but stronger than most earth metals or something like that. That way you can have both the armour, and the traditional costume.
One Strip! One Strip!I kinda like how the suit is armor. Especially extending the arms to cover part of his hand in a triangle shape.
Wonder Woman's suits have always been great in the comics.

To each his own, I suppose, but I always felt is was kind of silly for an invulnerable man to be wearing armor. But then, I don't find the skintight brightly colored pajamas silly, so there you go. To be fair, though, to generations of people the skintight brightly colored pajamas read instantly as "super hero," pretty much because of Superman ("Why do they wear costumes? Because they're superheroes. Duh.") . Hell, just a cape by itself reads "super hero" because of Superman.

Isn't there a costume of him wearing a cape but with a t-shirt and pants? The armor is much better than that at least.
That was the New New Superman.
"We be we baby!"See, I forgot to mention the idea that he's wearing his classic suit, and it looks like it, but is actually the armour in how it works—mainly, how it doesn't get shredded in fights—as a nod to the old everything from Krypton is invulnerable idea.
One Strip! One Strip! That idea that the suit doesn't get shredded in fights is only a problem if you force it to be one. Most people had no problem with the invulnerable cloth idea, and there's always Byrne's explanation that his body generated a force field that protected anything really close to his skin (which is why post-Crisis Superman's cape frequently got shredded). That kind of thing is a quintessential fanboy question, as in the kind of thing only fanboys would obsess over and the general public doesn't really care about.
Okay, this is pretty cool. http://i.newsarama.com/images/i/000/094/414/original/new_52_superman_bio-tech_3_02.jpg?1364319928
Also I just discovered why we only ever see him pull off his shirt. Because it looks ridiculous to see the whole changing moment. Darn, can't link the image of that.

There's a piece of stock promotional art, by the great Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, that shows Superman going from Clark Kent to Superman, the strongly defined images being beginning Clark and final Superman with the rest being drawn in such a way to indicate motion. You do see him taking off his pants in that one.
That must've been the one, watching him take off his pants looked really weird, but kinda hilarious.
Here are some new designs◊, if you can see them.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So the ones I know and see on the top are Blue Beetle, Dr. Fate, Shazam, Dr. Light, Mr. Terrific, and Joker. Firestorm, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and MMH in the middle row. The last are Big Barda, Harley, Hawkman, and Lobo.
Any know the rest?

Same with me. I can only recognize those characters. A bigger image would help in seeing the characters.
Though, I think the tuxedo guy next to Harley is Abra Kadabra
EDIT Holy Crap! The dark green guy next to Firestorm is Swamp Thing.

Was that Swamp Thing to the left of Firestorm?
No idea who the two on the far right on the bottom row are. Nor the dude to the left of Harley.

I think it's Swamp Thing. The resolution of the image isn't very good tbh
And the guy next to Harley Quinn looks like Abra Kadabra

I think that's the Riddler between Blue Beetle and Doctor Fate.
Yeah, I was wondering how many of you would catch that.
On a more serious note, with this show coming pretty soon, what do guys think is the likelihood that they'll try bringing back DC Nation?
