@Sunchet Blame the Arrowverse on that one. I mentioned in my review of that episode that it seems to be emulating the Caitlyn/Ronnie shipping that was done in the Flash tv show; which is why Killer Frost is not as sociopathic as she usually is in the comics and the previous Justice League cartoon.

Yeah, it kind of is weird that a person with the name Killer Frost isn't acting like a psycho. Then again its weird that a super hero wizard going by the name Doctor Fate is neither an actual medically licensed doctor nor is a scientist like many other comic book doctors (who are usually villains, by the way). Seriously, why does he have "Doctor" in the name?

@crimsonstorm15 Last I check, there aren't much reruns for this show. Only 7:30 in the mornings of Saturday. Maybe it will change in the approaching new year with more reruns and marathons. Then again, maybe not.

@robbery Some episodes aired in the US. Just not all of them.

Check the Cartoon Network 2017 announcement video in the Cartoon Network General thread. Guess which show is not listed along those announced to have new episodes, unlike fucking Teen Titans Go and Nu PPG?

Fuck those guys, they're simply the worst.

DC deserves better than this, especially if they are actually doing a good work.

At least for show like this 52 episodes is plenty. It's not like they'll die in middle of story or something...

Any chance that they didn't mentioned airing new episodes simply because it's barely started? I think US aired like 4 episodes.

[up] Just to be a pessimistic dick, by technicality one full episode is two of these 10 minute long episodes. So we are only getting 26 episodes.

On the optimist side, I would be okay with 52 as long as they rerun these episodes on a daily basis.

Back on the pessimist side, they have yet to announce any good rerun times for this show.

And back to optimism again, it's still early and all they showed are the episodes based on the Shazam Slam special.

And pessimism returns with vegence telling me that they will not rerun this show . . . wow this shows scheduling turned me into Gollum.

Again, the mistreatment that this show is getting is really weird, as Snyder left CN two years ago. So, what the holy, God-hating fuck is behind this maltreatment towards action shows? And the 1st party /3rd party argument isn't really holding water, as Secret Saturdays was wholly made (and thus owned) by CN.

Ya know, I feel it's an overreaction to say the show is already being screwed with right now. I'd rather we wait it out and see what happens.

[up][up][up]Invisible Advertising, one airing a week at 7:30am on a Saturday when everyone is asleep, it is not a good look.

Well shit, now I'm getting Transformers vibes from this, because CN did the same stuff to that Transformers cartoon they're airing.

[up]Exactly. I am trying to be optimistic about this by saying it just came out so I shouldn't expect reruns to occur often in the first couple of weeks. But the again 18 episodes were just released in the UK AND Cartoon Network have previously constantly rerun shows that just got started and only have a small number of episodes (Teen Titans Go, which only had like 2 or 3).

So in short, they have freaking excuse for giving lots of rerun time for JLA. It's a really good show, it has plenary of episodes on its belt, NO CONTINUITY, and it adheres to the comedic tone like the others. Why give this show the Montreal Screwjob?

[up]The thing is TTG is already popular and JLA won't take anything away from it. CN for some reason already assumed this show wouldn't be popular and screwed it and the potential fanbase it would have from the start.

TT Go was getting preferential treatment from the get-go. The amount of advertising CN did for it compared to Beware when both were just coming out was ridiculous. I mean, they were reruning the show to oblivion when only TWO episodes were out.

[up] Exactly my point. Its crazy how much TTG is loved by the network even though reception for the show is pretty cold. And as much as some people like to taut that it is popular among its target audience, let's not forget that it got such ratings because it have like at least over 4 hours of airtime from a day to day basis making it impossible to miss it.

Boy do I wish Justice League Action have that preferential treatment, especially seeing how this ties in nicely with the upcoming Justice League movie.

I guess you could arguably make the case that, ultimately, Teen Titans as a franchise is more "theirs" than it is DC's. In a time where there was an established DC Animated Universe, Teen Titans was a highly original (to the point of being In Name Only in certain places) take on DC characters that was more in line with the aesthetic and theme Cartoon Network was trying to push at the time rather than the source material - even after it hit Cerebus Syndrome. Go even moreso is a series that fits their idea of what a marketable comedy show rather than a madcap but ultimately action-centric like Action.

Cartoon Network has always been somewhat possessive of the characters as they appeared in that continuity - highly different show or not, Go is still clearly an adaptation of Teen Titans 2001, not the comics Titans - so I could see them wanting to push the concept they see as theirs over the one more akin to DC's other projects.

But that's all theoretical.

[up]Can't really argue with that logic. It's kind of like Hannah-Barbera with the Super Friends where it's an in name only take on the Justice League but because they create the characters in a distinct way it might as well be considered their work (even though they don't really own the rights).

One could argue kids still could just change the channel at any time they ran Go! regardless of how often they repeat it; I don't think one can deny, for whatever reason, kids are receptive to Go! (I've stated my opinions on the reasons before, I won't bother stating them again here, suffice to say I have grim and often controversial opinions on the current state of our societies) and are willing to watch it. If they didn't, they'd have just stopped watching CN and switched to Nick, Disney or videogames whenever it's on, even if that 'whenever' is 'all the time'.

One suspects that the intended audience just finds it funny, at least on occasion. I find it occasionally funny myself, but irritating in large doses. I think most fans of the DC super heroes just find it annoying that, before DC Super Hero Girls and Justice League Action came out, it was the only cartoon featuring DC heroes regularly on the air. TTG can be mildly amusing, but it's not a great representation of the DC Universe.

Interestingly, it seems that CN has treated DC Super Hero Girls much the same as they're treating Justice League Action, relegating it to n early-morning time slot and seldom if ever re-broadcasting it. It makes even less sense for DC Super Hero Girls because it was already a successful merchandise brand before the show even aired,

Okay, I just found the episodes online.

I've never read any of the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle comics stories, so you'll have to tell me, has he always used Dan Garrett's (the original Blue Beetle) magic word?
