Hmm... I like Fingerless Hands. It occurs to me, Mitten Hands doesn't totally work, because while mittens don't have separate fingers, they DO have thumbs, and a big part of this trope is characters being able to hold things without thumbs.

Might work. Tropes Are Flexible, after all.
Maybe that's something we should discuss.
We COULD separate Mitten Hands and Fingerless Hands into two separate tropes - one for hands that are just nubs, one for hands that have thumbs but no other fingers.

I don't think it's worth a separate trope, personally. I'd vote for Fingerless Hands as the name and Mitten Hands as a redirect, but allow for thumbs in the definition.

On the same lines as Raymanian Limbs recently getting a rename due to Trope Namer Syndrome, we also have this one, which suffers the same problem.
