So, basically like this thread.

That aside, I would also like to mention this new book, Giants in a Match Box. A fantasy book, it doesn't go in the Tolkienist vein - it shows a bland, wild, yet somehow beautifully described post-apocalyptic wasteland in which humans live, terrorized by the Colossi, a divine race of emotionless giants with various powers such as future vision. As one chapter told me, they are children of the First Colossus, Argos of the Billion Eyes, and I especially liked the main antagonists: a Big Bad Ensemble of two brothers: Bidus Plegios, who seeks to reconstruct the world in an orderly, massive mechanism serving Plegios' own self and motives, and Monus Colossus, who seeks to plunge all existing worlds into a colorful, chaotic Fire and Brimstone Hell and become the God. The last chapter revealed that they are sons of Tripilus the Blind Seer, who was the master of future vision; however, when he brutally murdered an innocent person thinking he was responsible for a massive future catastrophe, he isolated himself from the rest of the Colossi and carved his own eyes out so his future vision wouldn't distract him from achieving his goal: finding the true nature of the world. Wow! I liked that chapter so much! I am hoping to see the next book of the series, Leviathans of Dust. What do you guys think?

I am the most suitable partner for Gaia. I have some bad news. You will not make it to Eden. This is the end of your journey.
