Opened.
I agree with reverting to the old one. We should avoid fanart if possible.

While reading American Kirby Is Hardcore, I came across the Japanese box art◊. I think it would be a better replacement.

Kinda prefer the old one, but is good, too.
Check out my fanfiction!Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption have also had their boxarts changed. Corruption might actually be an improvement, however. I don't think Echoes is better than the old image, but IIRC it is official and not fanart.
Edit: Old images:

Revert 1 and 2 back to their original pictures, keep 3 only if it's not fanart.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?According to the Metroid Wiki◊, it is the official Japanese boxart.
Coolio.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?~snake300 keeps making changes to the pictures. He just reverted 1's picture.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I think the NA box art should be used for the original and Echoes, but I prefer the design of the Japanese Corruption box art.

Agreed. If we changed Prime 1 to the Japanese art, I'd feel compelled to look up the Japanese Echoes art and see if it also looks good, so they all match. But I think leaving the NA art for the first two is the best idea. Prime 1's Japanese art is a bit busy.
Just now catching up. +1 to revert the first two back to their box art. I'm good with the pic that's on Corruption as well.

Personally, I like the concept art on Prime 2's page better than the box art. And by the way, it is official art found in the game's concept art gallery.
I think it would be better to stick to box art, if only because it will keep it consistent with the other games being represented by box art with logos and all that jazz.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? While I like consistency, Prime 2's box art just looks like a variant of the first Prime so I vote for keeping the other image.
They look different enough, helped by the fact that they have their logos.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? The box arts for Prime 1 and 2 look completely different, I don't see how it's a "variant".

Yeah, I don't know where this "variant" critique is coming from.
Moon◊Another vote to revert 1 and 2 and keep the current on 3.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I wanted to find concept art for the other two pages, but I couldn't find anything good for 1 and 3, so disregard my comment about 2 earlier. But if we're going to keep the box art on 1 and 2 for consistency, shouldn't it all be from the same region?

3's original image was the Western artwork and logo only. Here it is with the rating, Wii banner, etc. [1]
I would be fine with using NA boxart for all three games for consistency's sake.
Something I'd forgotten is that while Nintendo and Metroid are Japanese, the Prime trilogy was developed by Retro Studios in Texas, and was released in Western markets first, so the NA box art is the "original." It's not like, say, using an American cover art on a Harry Potter page.
With that in mind, I think I'd like to change my vote. Put the NA art back on all three pages.
That's true. NA is the original art, so it should be used for every game.
Metroid Prime had its picture changed three days ago by snake300 to a fan-made game cover from Deviant Art, and the short-but-sweet page quote has been move to be the new caption while replacing it with the more wordy tagline from the back of the boxart. Here's the original, which I suggest we revert to.
