Why would he want to make a battle manga? The later parts of Binbougami were pretty bad after it tried to make the battles even somewhat serious.
No kidding, the comedy and insanity were really the only good parts of Binbougami.

You know that people can do more than one genre, right? Battle part of Binbougami was bad because it was a comedy, and the setting doesn't fit a battle manga, so they need to force some stuff to accommodate the Genre Shift.
This one is a battle manga from the start, so maybe it will be decent?
Yeah, it might work out, but the last time we saw him try battle manga scenes was bad, so does he really deserve the benefit of the doubt?
After UQ Holder, I do not give benefit of the doubt easily...
Different standards, I guess. For what it's worth, I don't think Binbougami's battle scenes were that bad from what I remember.
And from what I've read of Twin Star, it's pretty decent for a battle shonen. Somewhat darker than the average, but otherwise quite generic. I'll give it 6 or 7 out of 10.

I flipped through a bit of the manga, and the fights are... decent? It has a very kinetic style that could end up anywhere from terrible to good depending on how much budget the anime has. The problem I'd point to is more that the drama is all very typical

Twin Star Exorcists is one of the better shounen manga out there atm imo so I'm pretty amped for the anime.
Hundred doesn't look too bad. It gives me more of a IS x Freezing vibe than anything else.
I think, there are no gender-based restrictions there, but otherwise you nailed what it is pretty well. Oh, and unlike IS, crossdressing goes on for a little longer there; I think that even gave some people wrong ideas about the Male lead.

I don't know anything about Bakuon!!, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested. Does it have a lot of ecchi humor? (If it does, I might not bother watching.) >_<

For spring it's actually pretty light especially with the 50 and 25 episode shows ending.
But damn that guy needs to cut the hateraid.
