Post video game stuff that you think is awesome, funny, sweet, whatever. Be it your own experience, someone else's, doesn't matter.

I will start:

I was playing The Witcher and I walked into a house where two people were talking, one said "I f**ked a she-elf once" and the person he was talking to said "Boring!"

I just couldn't stop laughing after about 10 minutes because it was just so random that the first thing I did was walk out of the house immediately then I started laughing.

It probably wasn't the funniest thing to happen, I just got taken by surprised because that exchange was just so random to hear said out loud.

@3 That is unquestionably funny.

For myself... geez, I think my first encounter with a non-story shiny Pokemon was kind of funny in that I basically completely lost my shit.

Some background. See, I got started on the Pokemon bandwagon the Christmas that Red/Blue came out, and I've pretty much always enjoyed the new game to come out (well, Gen V was a mild disappointment, but Gen VI was great, so I think it was just a blip). And I got shinies from events, and of course the red Gyarados that's in the Lake of Rage.

That said, the very first time I encountered a wild shiny at all was almost a year after SoulSilver came out. For those not keeping track at home, that's over 10 years of dedicated play of not encountering a wild shiny at all.

And it wasn't even resulting in me trying to do something major. I was planning on meeting a friend, who had told me that she still hadn't gotten a Vulpix in her HeartGold game yet. I told her that I could manage that, no problem. Sure, I could have just bred one, but I figured it'd just be faster to fly to the appropriate route, catch one, and set it aside immediately to trade. Way quicker than trying to hatch one, and it was only desired for Pokedex purposes.

Anyhow, I go to the appropriate route, and to little surprise, it doesn't take long for an encounter to happen. Know how the 'mon in question comes on-screen slightly darkened? Well, since Vulpix's shiny form is not that far from its regular, I first thought the light was funny; the sprite looked lighter than usual. Then it brightened, and the telltale sparkle happened. I put down the DS and nearly hyperventilated, with the game waiting the next command. I nearly jumped in joy... and then I remembered that the Vulpix in question was high enough level to know Roar. And I didn't have any Quick Balls. I prayed, desperately, that the right move was a first-turn Ultra Ball. To my relief, it was - caught with full energy, and it became a mainstay of my traveling team.

Oh, and then I caught another Vulpix for my friend. I didn't forget.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.

There were repeated times in Bloodborne where would-be invaders tried to take me on in NG+ and the moment I saw them I'd switch to the cannon and completely obliterate them

And then there was silence

This kind of thing has been around since the original Half-Life at least:

"You have no idea what is going on, do you?"

"Of course not!"

Beating Emma Emmerich unconcious and then dragging her through the bugs on the ground instead of using the bug spray in Metal Gear Solid 2.

Using the "Bucket on Head" trick to steal entire store inventories in Skyrim.

In my latest play of Minecraft, I got fed up with getting lost so many times so every several steps I take, I planted a torch on the ground. I went far enough and was standing on a high place when the night came. Then, as everything went dark, the trail of torches revealed a long and wide road of light leading straight home. For once I was very sure of how to get back home.

Also, another awesome experience. Not too far away from safe zone, I encountered a crowd of monsters, inlcuding a bunch of Creepers and Skull Archers. Instead of walking around them, I ran through them. Let me tell you, it's one hell of an experience to madly dash towards my home (and the watery moat around them), dodging and getting hit with arrows from every direction while a whole bunch of Creepers explode left and right (thank god for my complete set of iron armor).

It ended with a Creeper standing few steps behind and exploding me into a moat. I quickly climbed out and ran straight, entering home and closing the door shut. By then I was one hit away from death. cool
