I bet he'd make a good Harvey Bullock. I've never heard him try a non-Canadian accent, but I could see him pulling that off. And he looks a bit like the BTAS version of Jervis Tetch in real life, so there's that.

First hour of gameplay is out now. Obviously, if you want to see it, brace for tons of SPOILERS.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Amanda Waller!
She was in some of the promo images.
Man, it's really weird seeing Riddler fight Batman. Then again, he got his ass handed to him, so I guess that's about what you'd expect from him.
But apparently he was incarcerated in Pena Duro. I wonder if he knows Bane. Maybe he'll show up in a later episode.

One of the villain silhouettes in Episode Two resembles Bane A LOT (with what look like Harley Quinn (I hope not!) and Hugo Strange next to him, so it wouldn't surprise me.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Crazy thought: What if Bane was the Riddler goon with the wrench?
Dammit, Lucius just had to die.
It's been 3000 years…He was one day away from retirement.
I wonder why they decided to make Tiffany Fox older than Luke here. Seems like an odd change.
x4
I don't know, Bane is usually a big guy even when not pumped full of venom.

I'm seeing a lot of surprise regarding the ending of Episode 1. Does Amanda Waller not usually know that Bruce Wayne is Batman? She did in the Justice League cartoon. For that matter, Waller knows, but Avesta doesn't. That's interesting.
Some of the folk who are surprised don't seem to know who she is though.
But yes, Even in the comics Waller knows Bruce Wayne is Batman.
So how does this run, because the first episode of the first Batman game crashed on my several times.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. This seems to run a lot smoother.
It's been 3000 years…Yeah, it didn't crash for me. But I did have a problem with importing my old save.
Anyway, way to introduce a character and immediately make her a Replacement Scrappy with Tiffany, Telltale.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Ooooh very nice start. I was worried given how mediocre the Walking Dead sequels were, but this is very promising.
- I told Gordon to use tear gas. Waller yelled at him for it. I didn't tell Waller about the puzzle box.
- I like how Lady Arkham's mask in the trophy room is still broken in the exact way Batman shattered it. Nice continuity.
- RIP again Lee.
- I told Tiffany that Lucius died because of the disc. Now she's furious with Bruce.
- I was cordial to John, since Bruce has no way of knowing that he's anything more than a mental health patient working towards recovery. But I did plant a tracking device on him.
- That safe opening QTE seemed a bit bugged. Took me three tries to get it right.
- I told Gordon as much of the truth about Lucius as the game would let me. Dude deserves to know. Alfred got worried for that.
- I asked Alfred not to watch Lucius's death because it clearly would exacerbate the problems he's been having since Lady Arkham.
- I saved all the agents, but Avesta went deaf from being exposed to too many sonic blasts. It was her choice, so no regrets.
My theories:
- "The Pact" is the Suicide Squad.
- Waller learned Batman's true identity through Catwoman.
The wrench guy is completely bugged on Xbox One.
A+RT - doing A+RT doesn't work. doing A+RB doesn't work. Nothing works.
Hell, before, it was saying "RT" and only the right BUMPER was working.
The character relationship things are interesting - I'm curious to see how those will factor into things.
Poor Lucius... Tiffany was very upset when I told her the truth, though I suppose I should have expected as much. Note to self: figure out when to lie.
Shame that Riddler's dead - they did a very good job with him. That being said, I can imagine there's only so many riddles you can do before it gets stale, but I would at least would have hoped that they could have just kept in off the board for a bit before bringing him back for the finale. Hopefully they can find setpieces as good as his death traps in the future.
We know that we're getting Harley, and going by the Episode 2 picture, we're getting Bane as well. I hope they can do him justice - a lot of people forget the guy's a Genius Bruiser, and without expanding on that aspect, he can be rather one note. No idea who the third guy in the picture is - Scarecrow, maybe? Clock King?
Like a "suicide pact", eh? It would certainly fit.
I also had a problem with the safe puzzle - I'm thinking that the whole "move the mouse in a circle" bit might not be such a good idea.
Anyway, choices...
- Gordon is "Steadfast" (since I mostly took his side against Waller), Alfred is "Vengeful" (shouldn't have let him watch the video), my relationship Waller is "Strained" (again, I took Gordon's side), Tiffany is "Furious" (telling the truth was the big thing here - I was pretty nice to her otherwise), Iman is "Traumatized" (no surprise there, honestly - any idea what's the other outcome for her?) and "John" is "Hopeful" (I didn't want to set him off, but I'm getting the feeling that this might not be a good idea...).
- Again, I told Tiffany I was involved in Lucius' death - don't know what I expected. I doubt she'll be so open to a job offer now...
- I told Gordon that Lucius was working with me. I felt like he deserved to know, especially after Riddler mentioned it. He might keep it under wraps for now, but if more links to Wayne Enterprises emerge, I'm not sure how he'll react...
- I chose to visit Mori - I was interested in learning the exact details of his involvement with Riddler.
- I also took the drive by force, although I quite didn't expect the level of force that would be involved. I didn't want be connected to him like that, though now I've made an enemy of him and pissed Waller off, so that might not have been such a good idea after all.
- On an unrelated note, I thought that Eli might be Deadshot for some reason - mostly because I thought he kind of looked like him. Of course, Eli didn't use a gun to fight me, and I'd figure that if it was him, they would have just called him Floyd Lawton, so I'm almost certainly wrong there. Speaking of snipers, though, whoever shot Riddler had to be a pretty good one. If they are using the version of the Suicide Squad...well, Deadshot's one of the more famous members, and quality of the movie aside, both he and Harley were in it...
- And, of course, I sacrificed Iman to save the other agents. It was her choice, after all, though I imagine this will change our relationship considerably.
So, no Next Time trailer? Or did I just miss it somehow?

Oh God! Natural light!Well, considering Riddler dropped the bombshell about Lucius during a conversation with Gordon, that might not be the best idea assuming that other people in The Pact are aware of that little detail. Especially since Joker John wants you to meet them.
True - honesty now might spare me a much worse reaction later if she found out that I had deliberately tried to keep the truth from her.
Still, sometimes lies might be preferable. It's something to think about.

Oh God! Natural light!Riddler could take a lot of punches to the face. I was impressed.

Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. Not to mention being thrown. Isn't he in his 50s or something?
Finally got to play.
Overall, a very strong start. I'm already enjoying this more than season one, mostly due to noticeable polish, actually running without glitches or slowdowns, and a very meaty story (more than two hours). Plus, I'm curious to see how the relationship system works.
My only complaint is that I wish Riddler's puzzles felt more like actual puzzles, and that his riddles (besides one) felt like actual riddles and not very obvious questions.
I have a strong relationship with Gordon and Alfred, though the latter is grieving. I was shocked that you could even make the latter vengeful. I'm on bad terms with Waller and Avesta is traumatized, though I don't think you can actually prevent that. John Doe is ecstatic, which I'm already regretting, and Tiffany is comforted. I know it will end up worse that I lied to her, but I figured I'll have to work with her, considering how strongly foreshadowed it is in her scene with Lucius.
Speaking of that, not a fan of how on-the-nose that foreshadowing was. The fact that Lucius dies immediately almost feels like a bad joke. Riddler getting killed off is a bit more surprising and worked a bit more with me.
Also, I think the game messed up some of my choices from the previous game's save file. My trophy room has the Penguin's gauntlets and Lady Arkham's mask, even though I fought Two-Face first and interacted with Lady Arkham's doll in the basement. The tickets are there as well, even though I ripped them in season one.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Episode 2 is September 26. They sent a screenshot of Harley.
Here's a question: who would Raphael Sbarge be suited to voice in the Batman mythos?
