Well, it is if during the Renaissance, mankind focused on harnessing electricity instead of clockwork and steam - this caused the internet to develop early, and more importantly, for robotics and similar technology, about the level we have now, to develop early. Harnessing electricity also allowed for better medicine (somehow)

What if the internet, robotics, modern medicine and information technology existed during the Renaissance, Colonial Era, and Victorian Era?
