Suggestion: Nobody Touches The Hair

This article is currently imageless, so I'm suggesting Yang Xiao Long's reaction to getting a lock of her hair pulled out in the RWBY "Yellow" Trailer. I tried making this as concise as possible, so I took screenshots and arranged them into a 2x2 cartoon.

It's visually interesting, that's for sure.

Gets my vote.

I'd prefer a less complex demonstration.

Doesn't do much for me. The third panel doesn't look like the same person in the second because the color is so different. So it looks like a dude is standing there, the blonde girl is staring at him, and then a third person with white hair punches him for some reason.

I can't tell that he's touching her hair. The change in background also doesn't help the transition.

It looks like 3 different works.

Not buying it. The top and bottom panels have far too different styles to look like it's actually from the same work.

Sigh. Well, anybody got any other suggestions?

Prince and Ali? That look just sells it.

10/12 works well enough with that caption.

I really like Op's suggestion.

I don't see the problem with the 3rd panel, it is clear that it is the same character from the red eyes and the hairstyle.

Okay, now that I know what 10 is supposed to display...I'm actually torn between the two ideas. The OP has a cause-and-effect portrayal, while 10/12 has someone give a "don't you dare" look.

IMO it's no contest: four somewhat unclear frames versus one crystal clear one.

10/12 does it for me.

I watch RWBY, so I know the context of the pictures and she IS a great example.

However, I'm not sure how well it conveys it to those who don't watch the show, though, so I'm not giving it a vote just yet.

I fail to see how the OP is unclear when the guy in panel one is clearly holding hair. If anything the other suggestion is unclear because the dude could be giving the look for any number of reasons.

You don't give that look Muhammad Ali for just anything and that hand is clearly going for the hair.

Not sure what made Prince change his attitude in that picture. It looked all good in here◊.

I don't like trope images that needs so many panels to get the point across. 10/12 is good enough.

But the panels aren't big and it looks good in 350px, so i still prefer it over the other one.

It takes more than a few seconds to read, which defeats a lot of the purpose of having a page image. Worse than nothing IMO.

Then why use comics in any images, especially when they have dialogue?
