Watching the fourth episode, like it so far. The conflict's unique for a superhero show, former victim fighting her abuser.
Jessica thinks she's spying on Kilgrave and I immediately thought her sister or someone close to her would be spying on her, turns out Kilgrave's had spies taking pictures of her all along. The show conveys the paranoia in that scene perfectly.
I'm guessing that every time you see a little bit of purple on someone in a shot, they've been in contact with Kilgrave.
I like how both protagonist and antagonist have the ability to break in everywhere, Jessica breaks locks on doors, Kilgrave hypnotizes whoever answers the door.
Kilgrave is an awesome name.
Other observations:
- Seriously, the use of purple in this show is fantastic.
- I didn't believe the one guy who claimed Kilgrave made him sodomize himself, until he said it was a purple stick.
- That scene where Jessica's spying on her client from between two buildings, you see someone taking pictures below with just the faint traces of purple on them
- The girl who Kilgrave supposedly impregnates? Wearing purple. Same with the guy who handed over his jacket.
- And then Jessica confirms it.
- Jessica spying on someone by scooting herself between two buildings is just and clever. I like this "urban superhero" atmosphere. Powers aren't always on display and when they are its Mundane Utility.
- Some of the best sex scenes I've ever seen in a TV show, really caught me off guard.
- Currently watching the 4th episode, that meeting only elaborates on how messed up Kilgrave is, assuming half of those stories were true.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I should think Iron Fist would win (in a fight between Jessica Jones and Iron Fist) because, otherwise, what's the point of being Iron Fist?
There is no point in being Iron Fist.
At all?

I just caught up on the new series! Jessica hates him.
I don't know... his ability to punch things differently might not be special, but I like the character.

Crow: There's a plot?If she hates him so much, then why did she agree to name the baby after him?
Oh God! Natural light!Iron Fist is out? Damn, and I haven't even caught up with Daredevil.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.No, Iron Fist is not out yet. We were just talking about the comics.
Oh God! Natural light!Danny's the godfather too. I don't think she actually hates him, it's kind of a running joke.
Like, 'Jessica hates me, doesn't she?'
'No man, Jessica does not hate you.'
@alliterator, how did you put that picture in a post?

Crow: There's a plot?Jessica is just acerbic to most people.
And Danny strikes me as sensitive to that.

Think Netflix Danny will be the same?

EDIT- Gah, I can't make it work.
I hope they don't make him too serious. I'll be happy if they make this happen.

Crow: There's a plot? You have to make sure the place you upload it to allows hotlinking. I don't think imgur does.
Jessica is just aware that Luke always gets into trouble with Danny.
Not because Danny is a bad influence, but when they are together they just *attract* it like a small indestructible skin kung fu dwarf star.
"You can reply to this Message!"Thanks.
Crow: There's a plot?Lol...It never occurred to me before, but I now imagine the kind of delicate looking hippy flower Danny Rand from the set pics encountering brash and jaded Jessica Jones...
Can't wait.
Holy shit, that clashing of personalities will be amazing. I really can't wait for Defenders.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.and poor Luke in the middle
"You can reply to this Message!"Oh, he will be cool...he has thick skin after all....
You know, I've heard predictions (from intelligent people, which is why I bring it up) that Defenders will be all about fighting The Hand - AKA the evil inhuman Asian monsters. As someone who's only watched Season One of Daredevil, does this sound like it could be accurate?
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."well Season 2 involved Ninjas and whatever the hell that Black Sky thing is supposed to be, so it certainly sounds probable.
I just want to see Jessica fighting ninjas. Although, I have to wonder what the hell they're supposed to do against Luke.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?
IIRC, he told Simpson to leave and then had to specify what he meant.
